It’s basically a woman needing someone to teach her how to be great in bed. However, she thought that the “someone” who’ll give her lessons is gay so she willingly gave in… without knowing he’s really straight.

There are factors lacking: The profession of Matt isn't really used - I thought him being a lawyer will help the tenants in Betsy’s apartment avoid the petition on eviction. How rude Betsy is for always interrupting or cutting off people whenever they explain things to her.

This book was so cute. I had a hard time putting it down. Betsy had a hard time with guys they always told her she was dull. She hadn't found the right guy. She meets her best friends new roomate who she this he s involved with and gay. He helps her get some sizzle back in her step. Betsy just need someone who would tell her how important she is and prove that she was worth the effort. I was so glad Matt volunteered for operation sizzle for Betsy and then fought for her and Rob fought for them too.

I tried really hard. But this book is just not for me. The characters felt flat to me. Matt just seemed creepy to me. I could not like it. That's it.

When I first found this book on NetGalley it sounded like something I would be interested in. The title alone I thought was cute and was hoping the story would be too. Once I started to read it I got a little concerned. First of all Matt is a stalker and very creepy. I am not sure if I will be the only one who feels this way about him. But I didn't like him from the start and my dislike of him continued throughout the book. Rob, who is Betsy’s gay best friend, accidentally switched phones with his cousin Matt. A drunken Betsy thinks she's calling up Rob, though Matt is really the one on the other line. After she realizes that it isn't Rob, she ends the call and seems to want nothing to do with him. But Matt was relentless, he continued to call her back and eventually goes over to her apartment and ends up staying the night to “make sure she is okay”. Like what? I am sorry, drunk or not, you would not let a strange man who you don’t know into your home. The entire time I was reading this I felt so creeped out by this guy. Betsy on the other hand is not sure who she is and is very insecure with everything about herself. Because of those things I think it is very easy for Matt to take advantage of her when she is in that head space. I had so many hopes for this story and it had so much potential because I personally have never read a story where cousins or friends accidentally switched phones and a romance/relationship forms. But the fact that Matt was extremely creepy and the actions he presented were unbelievably unrealistic. This book was extremely hard for me to read and I had to push myself to finish. I give this book a ⭐⭐ out of 5 stars.

Operation Sizzle was a success! Explosive characters and a well-played storyline made for an exciting and romantic ride.

The title of this book was just funny, so that was why I requested the story. And the story itself was funny as well: we meet Betsy who is terrible unsure of herself. When her latest boyfriend dumps her because she lacks sizzle, she turns to her gay best friend for help. Due to miscommunication she thinks his roommate Matt is gay as well. When she asks for his help (while drunk), he accepts her request. Operation Sizzle begins: Matt thinks it is very funny that this girl wants help in the sizzle department. Since his latest relationship went south, Matt feels this is the easiest way to have some 'no-strings-attached' flirting and 'horizontal excercise'.
But as Operation Sizzle continues, there chemistry between Matt and Betsy results in some actual sizzles between them. When Betsy realizes Matt is not gay and when Matt realizes Betsy only wants to sizzle for her ex-boyfriend: will the sizzle dry out or will they keep the flame alive?
Funny and short. Three out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Operation Sizzle is a cute miscommunication story. Trying to reinvent herself, Betsy stumbles into a way to get back the ex who left her hanging. It's cute and completely predictable but charming enough to keep you reading.

With some eyebrow raising quirks and a particular lesson to be jealous of (#2), Matt and Betsy show us what fun and learning can lead to...

I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was definitely not what I've expected and I'm completely disappointed. The main character Matt had stalker like attributes and that was a total turn off, and the fact that he shown up unexpectedly to the heroine home after finding her voice 'sexy' was obviously a big no-no.

Overall, I just wasn't feeling it due to the creepy character.

A fun entertaining sexy story.
After Betsy breakup she decided she doesn't sizzle.
She ask her BFF roommate Matt to help her sizzle.
They start to have feelings for each other until a misunderstanding develops.
A fun read. Voluntarily reviewed.

this book was ok but suffered from moments of WTF. like the heroine not knowing the hero was gay. i mean, how unaware can you be?! also, the tenant trying to evict a widow?! it just seemed like this book could have used a touch more normalcy to ground it. and for as much as it was about sizzle, it seemed to skimp over a lot of the sizzling parts.

An entertaining read.
Betsy has just been dumped by her boyfriend. She has decided it's because she doesn't 'sizzle' so sets out to change that by getting Matt to give here lessons - she thinks Matt is gay but he does make her sizzle!

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book actually exceeded my expectations.
Admittedly the way the two characters meet and arrange these lessons is a bit far-fetched, however if you can get past that and enjoy it for what it is, it's actually a really satisfying story.
The sexual interactions between the characters are quite funny and feel sincere despite being built on a lie. You see Betsy grow into herself as a person and see Matt falling for her despite his efforts not to.
A light entertaining read to make you smile.
3.5 - 4 stars.

So i didn't enjoy this novel as much as I had hoped I would. There were many things about Matt and Becky that disturbed me.
1) in the beginning when she calls her best friend but ends up talking to Matt due to a phone error, Becky tries to end the call repeatly but Matt continues to call her although she didn't want to continue talk to him. Creepy.
2) He gets her address from her gay best friend and shows up at her apartment again trying to talk her... Stalkish much???
3) she tries again to get him to leave and he persist on "helping her" through whatever has her upset. It's not when she pulls him into the apartment to avoid a noisy neighbor that he stops trying to get her to talk to him.
4) He finds out she's drunk and puts her to bed but because she doesn't let him go he ends up staying in bed with her because he doesn't want her to wake up upset with him. WTF!!!?? Then upon waking she finds his hand on her boobs and after he can't stop thinking about her boob.
5) finally what makes this even worse is that she feels so insecure with herself due to her recent breakup with a guy who thinks she's a bad lay that she offers to allow Matt to teach her some pointers. I couldn't believe it! Of course this perv says yes and this continues with sexual encounters that are at end mistaken for Love.

This was just not the book for me.
Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
