This was an interesting read.

Diane meets Raymond when he comes to her rescue at a dance club with her best friend, Glenda. A drunk guy wouldn't take her "no" as an answer and Ray steps in and punches him in the face. He asks for her phone number so he can call her to make sure she's o.k. Diana's mom, Madge, doesn't think that anyone is good enough for her daughter. When she hears about Ray she sets a plan in motion to get rid of him. Her dad loves him, and ignores everything that Madge says.

When Ray proposes to Diane, Madge is upset. The couple decide to wait on marriage. But when Diane finds out that she's pregnant, they need to find a place to live, and he needs money.

That's when Ray puts his plan in motion. His ex shows up claiming that her son is his and she wants child support. So he turns to Diane 's parents. Then he needs help buying a house. Madge sees what he's doing but no one else can see through his act.

But his ex is in on the plan as well. He knew the baby was his, but couldn't support him. Now he doesn't have to. But his good luck doesn't last that long. Madge is out to separate them forever.
