Detective Gina Harris has enough pressures at home, but now her already demanding job has just gotten unbearably difficult. A killer is stalking young red-headed women and the one suspect the police have is released when they find insufficient evidence to hold him. Kovach captures the world of police work, which can go from all quiet to absolute frenzy in just minutes. The ending is a little abrupt, but the book is otherwise fast paced and exciting

Another great book by Carla Kovach. I love a good series, this on is full of great characters and an author knows how to write a good story. Cannot wait to see what Gina Harte gets up to next!

Another Gina Harte winner! Right from the start the reader is captivated by a strange accident leaving a girl on the street. Luckily, someone tends to her and calls the police. And... now Gina is involved. The girl that fell (?) out of a van is in very bad shape; aside from her injuries she is nutritionally deprived and on drugs. She also had reddish hair. The girl's last words were, "Help her." The van was found on CCTV with the driver clearly visible. The van driver is Darren Mason - his story has some holes in it when interrogated and there was "weed" found in the van, also. Darren was held for 24 hours with suspected kidnapping.

Meanwhile, we find Miley tending for Jackie. Miley gets her dose of drugs after she cleans up Jackie and her messes each day. Of course, both Miley and Jackie cannot leave their rooms, except for clean-up time.

As the girl from the van incident dies, builders discover bones from a human hand. They call the police.

Christina had run away from home - it had been 3 months without a peep. Her mom is frantic, still searching. Her live-in boyfriend, Roy, isn't quite so concerned.

So as not to ruin the story for you all; I found this read to be suspenseful and another feather in Ms. Kovach's cap!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for another great read!

Oh wow. Put some time away for this book. It has all the ingredients for a terrific psychological thriller.

No spoilers from me. Book is great with lots of lies, deception, tragedy, and twists. Also, loved the unpredictable ending. Can't say enough great about this. Read it today!!

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this fabulous book.

Finished Her Pretty Bones! I loved this book, but I think one of the problems with loving a series, is the latest books have to fight harder for your love, because you’ve got developed such high standards. The storylines were interesting and I couldn’t put the book down, but I felt like the ending sort of finished quite suddenly - again, part of the problem with loving a series, not wanting to say goodbye to the characters. A thoroughly good read, interesting and I would recommend this book
