Rescuing Leila and Karl was all that mattered. That defining moment in Antonio’s life helped solidify that they were the other parts of his soul. With their lives in danger he would protect them no matter what the costs. Staying one step ahead of your enemy becomes a race against in time. First time I’ve read this series and I immediately was desperate to read more.

This book is the third in a series, but nowhere does it say that you need read the first two books. It should. I read this without having read the other two and I was at times completely lost. It all felt like a confusing litany of names that made no sense without more information. I have read several books in the Trinity Masters series, and this series is supposed to be an extension of that one. The book starts off with a gruesome description of two people being tortured. And it didn’t get much better for me after that. I suppose I might have enjoyed it more had I any real understanding of the characters or the plot, but it just seemed like there was so much I was missing. I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t recommend this book.
Note: I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Karl knows he is dying and as far as he knows, no one knows he is missing. Leila fought and lost. She knows she will die, but at least she won’t die alone. Antonio is determined to find justice. He wasn’t looking for the living but he will do what is necessary to keep Karl and Leila alive.
Pleasure’s Fury is third in Mari Carr’s and Lila Dubois’ The Masters Admiralty series. This story is best read in chronological order. This story by Ms. Dubois and Ms. Carr begins with a bank. The action starts from word one and continues throughout. We really get to know the character of Karl, Leila and Antonio. I mean Karl and Leila came up close and personal with death. Could they move beyond the torture they survived? And Antonio never meant to get so attached but Leila and Karl are his. Can he keep them? I enjoyed meeting these characters. They were strong, smart and honorable. But finding their strength did not come easy. I love that in spite of the pain they suffered Karl, Leila and Antonio found friendship. A friendship that morphed into something more. I love that Leila, who struggled to find her feminine side found it effortlessly between Karl and Antonio. I love that Karl finds safety between Leila and Antonio. I love that Antonio finds love between Karl and Leila. Ms. Carr and Ms. Dubois gave me a story full of passion. I laughed. I cried. I saw love blossom. This story is a wonderful addition to this series. I cannot wait to see where Ms. Carr and Ms. Dubois will take this story next.

I don't know where to begin with this book. I was so confused, it was so convoluted, the character development, background etc was lacking. I could not finish it.

While chasing down a madman Antonio unexpectedly finds the killer's next victims. Leila and Karl have been tortured and restrained with no hope of escape until Antonio shows up. After the rescue the three are inseparable and things heat up to a nuclear level between them. They forge an unbreakable bond.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

When I started reading this book, I did not know that this is book 3 in a series. While the book can be read as a stand alone, there is the continued hunt for the Domino/mastermind which is continued into the next book.

The first part of the book with the torture was hard for me to read but after Antonio comes into the scene, it gets really interesting and after the rescue, no more torture.

The drama and hunt for the mastermind keeps you reading non-stop as you want to know if they will find the killer and who can be the mastermind. Is there really a traitor in the Admiralty?

The heat between the three is sizzling and you keep waiting for them to give in but it is not until more than half way through the book. And not until after Antonio is forced into his trinity marriage with two women that he does not love that he turns to Karl and Leila.

Now that I have started this series, I would like to keep reading as the next one sounds good, and I want to see the resolution to finding the mastermind!

Pleasure’s Fury
By Mari Carr and Lila Dubois
Once again Mari Carr and Lila DuBois have hit it out of the ballpark. This was a late night read for me, I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to turn to the last chapter to see what happens to these characters. The story starts with the abduction and torture of two of the main characters, Leila and Karl. This part was descriptive enough that I felt like I was in the room with them. While searching for the killer of a trinity in Rome, Antonio finds the missing Admiralty members. He is horrified by the condition he finds them in. He rescues them and takes them into hiding to heal. Antonio is an assassin of Rome. He is told to stop his investigation of the murder of the trinity. After seeing the condition of Leila and Karl, he believes that this is the work of the Domino. As Leila and Karl heal, Antonio continues his investigation with their help, despite being told repeatedly to stop. As their search continues, they find evidence that is not the Domino committing these horrible murders, but another killer they call the mastermind. Who is this mastermind? Paths lead to someone in power in the Admiralty, but who? As they try to figure who could possibly be the killer and their motive, the trio grow closer. Unfortunately, they are not a trinity. As they fight to stay alive, because the killer is bound to finish what he started, the trio must also fight for the right to stay together.
I thoroughly enjoyed this suspense. It gripped me from page one. Leila, Karl and Antonio are some of my favorite characters in this series. We see the strengths and weaknesses in Karl and Leila as they battle the demons from their capture in order to find the killer before he finds them. Antonio’s loyalty to these two people as well as his desire to protect them is fierce. We also get to experience a little more of Fleet Admiral Eric Ericsson in this story. Love his sarcasm. I was also happy to see the librarians included in the search for the killer. This was an excellent story and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

With each twist and turn, this series keeps getting better and better! I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Antonio would rescue Leila and Karl in time. By the end of the book, I was blown away. I loved the bond that developed between Antonio, Leila, and Karl. There were so many emotions. The book opened with searching for the Domino and ended with the group discovering an older enemy. This was an amazing book and I can't wait for the next one!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by the authors. Thank you!

Leila, Karl, and Antonio had my heart beating faster, my chest hurting, and made me short of breathe! This was a wild, scary, painful, and crazy ride that I just couldn't see a happy ending coming out of. And there was a lot of loss in this book, and hurt, but hang in there, and keep the faith even when all seems lost, twice, maybe three times, because it does all come together. At least for our trinity, everything else, it shatters and splinters apart, and will leave you chomping for the next book

Where has this story been my entire life? It is impossible not to love these three, even though Antonio can be a bit gruff at times.

Not only was the storyline great, but this book is H-O-T

This is the best book yet in this series. It is a page turner that is sexy, steamy, and compelling. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
