I received a free ARC from Netgalley.

The heroine was a little irritating, but I have little patience for emotional characters that jump to conclusions and act out. Then there was Other Woman drama. I liked that the setting was in Australia on a ranch. Everything gets worked out by the end but this wasn't a favorite.

Title: Partner for Love
Author: Marito Ai
Genre: Manga
Rating: *****
Review: The synopsis for Partner for Love sounds like a cowboy romance which I love: “Darcy came all the way from London to visit Bindaburra Ranch, a property that her great-uncle left her in his will. On her way to the ranch, her car ran into trouble and she had to walk along the road in unfamiliar countryside in her heels. Just as she was about to lose hope, a man named Cooper came in his car and saved her. But Cooper claimed that he was the owner of the Bindaburra. Was Cooper trying to take advantage of her uncle’s death to claim the ranch her uncle loved?”
Partner for Love is exactly what I wanted it to be we follow Darcy who great-uncle Bill left her a ranch, but she soon learns that not only is she unprepared for life in the Australian outback but that she isn’t the sole owner of Bindaburra. It turns out that Cooper the man that rescued her also owns 50% of the ranch and she now has to be a partner in the ranch unless she fancies selling her half to the cold Cooper.
Being forced to live and work in close quarters often leads to some arguments between the pair but that is due to their difference in upbringing and the fact that neither really understands much about the other. After being in Australia for long Darcy is beginning to realise how out of her depth, she actually is compared to someone like Cooper who has lived all his life in the outback and on ranches.
However, after getting lost in the outback for hours one night after an argument Darcy and Cooper realise how much they have come to care for one another and spend the night under the stars which was beautifully drawn. Cooper even asks Darcy to marry him, but this joy doesn’t last long after Jed Murray gets involved. Through Jed and his wife Darcy is fed a pack of lies which she doesn’t want to believe but when she finds a letter that seemingly confirms what Jed and Melanie told her, she breaks things off with Cooper, sells him her half of the ranch and flies back to England.
On her arrival back in England Darcy receives a delayed letter from her dead great-uncle showing her how wrong she was to make assumptions about Cooper. She hastily writes a letter saying that she is signing over her half of the ranch and that he doesn’t even need to pay her for it as she deeply regrets everything she said. As she gets no letter in reply, she believes that Cooper has moved on only to find him in a London park waiting for her with a proposal and an offer to take her home, which she jumps at.

This was thoroughly entertaining. Darcy is surprised when she finds out that she has inherited a ranch from her great uncle. She is even more surprised when she finds out that she has only inherited 50% of the ranch and that she has a partner.

Cooper is surprised when he finds out that his new partner is a young woman with a weird umbrella and weird ways. He wants to buy her out but she wants to stick around and get to know more about ranching and so he puts her to work, but there is more to Darcy than meets the eye as he soon finds out.

Darcy finds herself falling in love with the ranch and with her new partner but there is more to him than meets the eye and not everything she hears about him is nice. Is Cooper someone she can trust or are the dark stories about him true? Should she stay on the ranch or should she sell up and go back home to London and will Darcy make the right choice?

This is a lovely story with great artwork and engaging characterrs.

Book title :  The CEO's Scandalous Affair

Author : Jessica Hart ; Illustrator : Marito Ai

Release Date :1 January 2019

Please do meet Darcy, a sophisticated girl who came all the way from England to visit the property, a ranch that her great-uncle left for her in Australia. On the way to the ranch, her car had a trouble and she would have to walk along the road on a rainy days. As she was just about losing hope, Cooper became her knight in shining armour, giving her a ride. As soon as Cooper knew Darcy's mission of coming there, he claimed that he was the owner of Bindaburra Ranch. Their relationship then later became a cat-and-dog relationship leaving these two arguing all the time. Little that they know, during those time arguing, they also developed a massive interest towards each other as man and woman. Ah, the readers will be taken through all the complication of the ranch ownership and the relationship between these two, but let me tell you, the ending is sweet and you will not want to miss it.

I personally like the story. The drama is spicy even when it is turned into a manga-style, I feel like some parts are missing. Well, hey, this is manga! everything has to be concise. The illustration is good even it is not so "wow" comparing other Marito Ai's works. The two combinations makes it a sweet romance that one should read.

UAU I love the misunderstanding and the ends where everything settles! I liked also the Australian setting....

Uau, mi piacciono molto i libri travagliati dove ci sono un sacco di fraintendimenti, ma alla fine tutto si sistema, inoltre mi piace molto che sia ambientato in Australia!

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

Review to be posted on all sources mentioned on my profile closer to the release date.

I received this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Who is right in this manga, Darcy whose great-uncle left a property in his will to her, or Cooper who claims he is the owner? The art (going by the cover) wasn't that attracting, but I did love the title and I did love the description.

We quickly finds out what is going on (though of course I was prepared for it all to be a lie), apparently Bill only owned 50% of the property. Welp, that sure is a surprise. Wish he had told our girl about it sooner. She may still want to go then, but at least she would know what to expect. Now she was just angry at someone who was really the owner.

But our girl will have to do some adjusting as she does have to do some work at the property. But thankfully this girl has spice and she is ready for a challenge. I loved how she didn't let anything stop her.

Though I was getting tired of both of them arguing about things. Especially the guy seems to think she was just not worthy and that pissed me off.

And brilliant, getting lost in Australia, the place that wants to kill you. :P

I did love that he was worried for her and even went on a trip with her to show her around. And that they finally realised they are in love. Ah, sweet romance under the starry sky. *swoons*

Haha, she gets proposed to and what does she want? Not a ring, no she wants a new stove. I love this girl. She is good.

But of course, all the goodness can't stay. We have to have drama. After all, still 44 pages left. So add drama. Ha, and we were doing so well. I was loving this romance, seeing the girl get used to live in the outback, see the proposal. Why, why did we have to add drama? And why are girls (exes or family) so mean. We have yet another woman who feels the need to add oil to the fire. Urgh.

Thankfully, the ending all made it up for the terrible drama. I loved it and I just smiled so so much at all that happened there.

The art? In the end I didn't even dislike it that much. Based on the cover I thought I wouldn't be a fan, but after reading... I am a fan. I love how the characters are drawn, and the way the backgrounds are drawn is very lovely.
