I really wanted a chance to read these manga, but unfortunately the files expired before I had a chance to get to them. Based on cover design and description, a majority of the books sound interesting. Perhaps next time I will have time to read the eARC sooner.

This manga was both romantic and intriguing. Glenna was looking for the man that was responsible for killing her sister, and it could be one of the 3 brothers that has a moon bird tattoo. The problem starts when she starts falling for one of the brothers and she doesn't know if she can trust him. It was both romantic and suspenseful and the truth does come out in the end.

Trial by Seduction is a classic category Gothic-lite: our heroine falls in love with the owner of an island hotel but he and his brothers are the three main suspects in her sister’s death on this same coast ten years ago. Oh no, what if the killer is the brother our heroine is falling in love with? This one was honestly somewhat suspenseful (I mean, no, it’s not the hero, of course, but otherwise it did manage to surprise me!) and there was more texture to the story and to the art. These Harlequin manga are refreshingly straightforward about the sex scenes without being jarringly graphic—which is a long way of saying there are actual nipples when nipples are warranted but everything below the waist is tastefully obscured. Teen me would have read these over and over in the wee hours or on summer break until the pages fell right out the bindings.

Book Review
Title: Trial by Seduction
Author: Karin Miyamoto
Genre: Manga
Rating: *****
Review: in Trial by Seduction we follow Glenna, we learn that Glenna’s older sister drowned at sea when they were on vacation in Florida ten years ago where they meet the Connelly Brothers; Edgerton, Phillip and Mark. Glenna also knew that the man involved in his sister’s death had a tattoo of the legendary moon bird on his wrist which all three brothers have.
We learn that Glenna was 12 when her sister died, and she had met all of the brothers before, but she had a crush on Mark, now seeing them a decade later she realises how much they have changed but she knows that one of them knows something about her sister’s death. It turns out that Edgerton whose wife Diana was once beautiful is pale and sickly looking and he looks at their daughter coldly, Phillip is an alcoholic and Mark is just as mysterious as he was a decade ago.
As time passes, she tries to work out which brother was involved with her sister and she immediately rules out Phillip because he can’t swim, and Mark had no reaction to the necklace that the mystery man had given Cindy, so she concludes it must be Edgerton. However, after falling for Mark and sleeping with him she tells him the truth of why she is there, and he reacts badly.
Heartbroken for a completely different reason Glenna is broken but when Mark approaches her, he tells her the truth of her sister’s death. He tells her that it was Phillip she was seeing and one night he helped her sneak out to go swimming, because he couldn’t swim, he stuck to the shallows while Cindy went further out to the rocks. However, a large wave swept her out to sea and as Phillip couldn’t swim, he went to get Edgerton who is a great swimmer and they tried to find Cindy but by the time they did it was too late.
While I agree with Glenna that they should have gone to police or coastguard for help, they were all young and afraid, but it finally gives Glenna the closure she is looking for especially after she realises that both Edgerton and Phillip have been punishing themselves ever since that night. I really loved this story and I might even pick up the original source material for the smaller details that are usually left out of manga and graphic novel adaptations.

The story was more on the secretive side - as Glenna was looking for the answers of what had happened 10 years ago to her sister before she died. There will be emotions, feeling unsure, hidden truths and secrets.
It was one of better ones Harlequin Mangas I read.

Glenna's older sister Cindy, died tragically ten years ago. Glenna had been on holiday with her family when it happened and the truth of what happened was never discovered, but one of three men knows the truth.

Three brothers own the hotel Glenna stayed at with her family and all three brothers bear the same tattoo. Someone with this tattoo helped sneak Cindy out of the bedroom window on the fateful night that she died and Glenna is determined to discover who. But as she goes about her investigation she gradually falls in love with one of her suspects and she is torn between discovering truth or discovering love.

This is a lovely manga romance story because it has an added twist of mystery to it. Of course I knew that Glenna would have a happy ending with her man, but I really wanted to know what happened to Cindy and if she had been murdered. My curiosity was eventually satisfied!

This is a lovely story, with great artwork and a beautiful romance in a magical setting. All of these different aspects help make it a really enjoyable manga romance.

📚I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Harlequin/SB Creative as the publisher in exchange for an honest review📚

Book title : Trial by Seduction

Author : Kathleen O’brien; Illustrator : Karin Miyamoto

Release Date : 23 December 2018

Glenna has lost her sister Candy because of an accident which involved one of the triplets Conolly. When she gets older, she returns to the place to find out who kills her sister as a photographer. There, she starts to feel a huge attraction towards the youngest Conolly, Mark. And after several glasses of wine, beautiful scenery from the hotel and the legend of Moonbird, their sweet romance begins. Yet what happens when Mark finds out Glenna’s real identity? Will Glenna find out the one who is responsible for her sister’s death? Will things end up differently for the Conollys and Glenna? Ah, those are the questions that the readers should answer as I am not going to spoil it here.

As usual, Harlequin and SB Creative spoil me with beautiful illustration. One can add cute-not-so-many-drama covered with mystery and he or she will have a complete package of a sweet romance in manga-style.

Review to be posted on all sources mentioned on my blog on 9 December.

I received this manga in exchange of an honest review.

What happened to Glenna's sister? Who is the one who knows the truth? And why are they all handsome? Come read this one to see how Glenna is going to try and resist all the handsome boys (who have pretty OK names, though who thought Edgerton was a good name? Hereby I am calling him Edgelord. :P).

I was pretty intrigued by the description of this manga/story. I do love a good mystery, and I do love a good romance. I was eager to find out how these two would combine.

Sorry, I just couldn't help but laughing at how shocked she was that these 3 (plus Diana) changed so much in 10 years. It is 10 years, a lot can happen, plus you know your sister died. One of them had to do with it, or knows more. It is no wonder things may be different now.

The mystery and what happened is getting clearer, but what is this? Drama? Yes! And then we finally get the full story on what happened, and my heart just broke. Not just for our MC who now knows what really happened, but also for the one who was with Cindy that evening. :(

I still have a question, who was the lady and why was she so shocked by the necklace? Unless I am too tired (as while reading this I am sick and I should rest more, but I just need these manga + to review them) and I missed something.

The art? Bodies not so much, the rest was pure love! I adored the eyes. I adored the glitter and the sparkle.

All in all, a pretty exciting story with not so much drama, instead tons of mystery and a nice touch of romance.
