After encountering space aliens with no one believing her, the brilliant Nevaek was kicked out of NASA. She is hired as CEO for a private Space program, Galactica. Angry, Nevaeh devises a plan to take over the world with her space friends. The owner of Galactus has been searching for the Holy Grail which he claims, if worthy, will bring immortality. Nevaeh decides she must have the Holy Grail for herself (but is she worthy?)..

Grant, a friend 0f FBI agents Michaela (Mike) and her partner, Nicholas, are hired by the owner of Galactus to protect him and the Holy Grail. Nevaeh puts her evil plan into action to claim the prize. Mike and Nicolas go to the rescue of their friend and are further alarmed to discover that Plutonium has been stolen with a connection to Galactus..

The story gets very tense as time begins to run out for earth and as the agents fight murder and insanity. They are pitted against two women who will do whatever it takes to attain their goal. Science fiction and technology make it interesting and exciting. The relationship between the agents, both funny and exciting, are very likeable. A good read! .

I have read all the Brit in the FBI series. This one did not disappoint. Caine and Drummond are on vacation. When Grant goes missing, they spring into action which never stops. Grant is guarding a billionaire who finds the Holy Grail. His satellite company lost a satellite in space. His CEO is an ex astronaut who thinks she the chosen one for aliens she met in space. She has armed the satellite with an EMP to silence the world.
This book was very exciting. There are a lot of far fetched situations but that is what I love about these books, they save the day.
The writers, Coulter and Ellison, are excellent. I have read most of their books, the ones they write solo and the ones together. The action is fast and fun, with humor thrown in. Read this book! Thank you net galley for a copy of the book for an honest review

Special Agents, Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are in the thick of it again, as a mission to rescue their friend turns into a race to rescue the earth.

Galactic is a French space company, and they’ve just put a satellite into space. But the payload has been substituted for a nuclear EMP, and it is not in the original orbit.

Galactus’ second in command is Nevaeh Patel, a former astronaut, and she plans to use the satellite and its horrible payload to destroy all of the electronic “noise” in and around Earth, and it’s up to Nicholas and Mike to stop her before life as we know it is thrown back into the Stone Age.

Once again, the team of Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison deliver a crackling good fast-paced thriller that will entertain readers right through the nail biting finale.

First Contact

Another Brit in the FBI thriller from Catherine Coulter and J.T Ellison gets 5 stars. The Last Second gets more and more tense as each second passes. Nicholas and Mike must save the world from a NASA astronaut who is trying to save the world from itself and bring it peace. Characters are marvelous and our daring duo are magnificent as ever. I particularly enjoyed the unexpected laughs along the way. I was given an ARC of this thriller through NetGallery and am voluntarily posting an honest review.

Caine and Drummond, FBI extraordinaire, keep us moving as they solve the set of mysteries that combine missing plutonium, high powered EMP, satellites and ex astronauts, mashed together with a billionaire's successful search for the holy grail. It's a can't put down read which, once you get on the ride and suppress your disbelief at the grail story, takes you around the world with non stop action. Coulter and Ellison know how to keep a reader at the edge of the seat, and deliver the goods.

Authors Coulter and Ellison have done again. Another fantastic, action-packed, nail-biting book from The Brit in the FBI series. Nicolas and Mike's vacation is cut short when Grant goes missing. Throw in a billionaire who finds The Holy Grail, an ex-astronaut who thinks she talks to aliens and her IRA raised bodyguard, a missing satellite with a nuclear bomb aboard, and a terrorist who is really CIA makes for an on the edge of your seat read. A must read to find out how Nicolas and Mike solve the bomb threat and save the world again. They and this book will not disappoint you.

I have like all of the books by these authors. You can't beat a good mystery. For a different twist we have modern with the communication satellite and the old with the Holy Grail. Now how can two such unlikely things have anything to do with each other? That is the story and well put together for us.
A billionaire who has built the business to launch communication satellites and hired an ex-astronaut to oversee it all while he goes out in his yacht to hunt for the Holy Grail. Grant Thompson is on the security detail for Jean-Pierre and needs the help of his friends Michaela Caine and Nicholas Drummond. That should tell you there is some excitement in store for you here.

I have read every book in this series. When I started this one I thought, "hmmm, this is a Brit in the FBI book?" It seemed very different from the others, really "out there." But it quickly became my favorite book in the series. For a book about space AND the legend of the Holy Grail, it was very down to earth. Once I hit the halfway point there was no way for me to put it down until I read all the way to the crazy, action-packed ending.

Former NASA astronaut, Dr. Nevaeh Patel, was grounded when on a spacewalk off the ISS, her tether snapped and she made contact with the Numen, an alien race that wants her to tell the earth about them. So she does and is grounded for good with a psychiatric report that will keep her grounded. Angry, and frustrated, she finds Galactus, a private space agency owned by the uber rich Jean-Pierre Broussard.

Patel finds that he is also seeking a treasure, the Holy Grail and instantly understands the Numen want her to possess it and quiet the heavens so that they may come to her and teach the world peace and be immortal. But one must be worthy of the stone. An important catch.

While Broussard is off retrieving the Holy Grail, or Heavens Stone, Patel launches a communications satellite. Only this satellite is carrying a nuclear triggered EMP which when triggered will take out all of the satellites and leave the world in chaos.

When Agents Caine and Drummond are brought in they are in a big time crunch. One that may see them be too late to stop the world descending into chaos.

This Brit in the FBI series is one of my favorites. These two put you on the edge of your seat from the beginning and it's a fast and thrilling ride to the end. I personally lost two fingernails to this book!

Coulter and Ellison can take an idea that is definitely possible and create something that will scare you for many nights to come. That is what I love. This could happen and what if it did? Well I hope that Drummond and Caine and all their cohorts are here for us too!

Another very well done thriller!

I will say this was a first for me. Meaning I have never read one of her suspense novels. I might have enjoyed this more had I not started at the newest of the series, had actually read these from the beginning. I didn’t like the premise of the story, in fact it annoyed me. From the beginning it made it hard for me to get into the story. I really wanted to love this, the good news it I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t care.

Oh, boy, another winner here! No wonder this series is on my auto-buy list! Another rip-roaring thrilling adventure featuring Nicholas Drummond, the FBI Brit, and his partner, Michaela "Mike" Caine, and this time they really are saving the whole world as we know it. A mad astronaut turned scientist and her killer henchwoman plot to nuke satellites in outer space and take down modern communication as we know it, and our intrepid FBI agents are on the case. Add in the legend of the Holy Grail, and you've got a book that is hard to put down; l had to stay up for a long night of reading it myself since l just couldn't stop! Another super entry for this series, and I hope for many, many more! This series, as well as Coulter's regular FBI series, does not get old or stale.

Enjoyed the book from start to finish. Mike and Nicholas got an obscure clue, followed the trail and saved parts of the world from a nuclear explosion and EMP.

Another great read in this series! The blurb threw me off a bit, but this is a compelling plot that makes the reader consider. These characters are interesting and our favorite agents, and the ones they surround themselves with, just keep getting better. After reading this book I cannot wait to see where the authors take things next. I am a fan of each individual author and they write together seamlessly.

Cathrine coulter & J.T. Ellison have done it again. I couldn't stop reading. The Last Second is a fast paced edge of your seat read. Keep up the excellent work. I can't wait for your next book.

Thank you to NetGallery, the publisher and authors for the opportunity to read this arc of “The Last Second.”
I found this book to be action packed right from the first pages. The story has aliens, the Holy Grail and lots of non stop action. I was not disappointed with this book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in a very intense thriller.

As always, Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are in the middle of a crisis, which makes for a great read.
Nicholas and Mike start out by saving their good friend, Grant. This leads them into an unexpected plot to take out many of the world's communications satellites.
I've read all in this series of books. They continue to keep me on the edge of my seat.

When Catherine Coulter and J.T.Ellison write a novel together it is bound to be a thriller. The Brit FBI mystery takes Nicholas Drummond and Mike Caine away from there vacation trip to Rome. They are summoned to help solve the sudden call from J.B. Broussard, the eccentric treasure-hunter who was in the midst of trying to discover the Holy Grail during his deep sea expedition. Dr. Nevaeh Patel, his Galacticus Space CEO, has taken control of the galactic agency to punish those who removed her from NASA and all astronaut opportunities. She firmly believes that space aliens she refers to a Numen, have commited her to find the Holy Grail and through the power it gives, build an EMP that would bring total peace to the universe when exploded.
It is quite a thriller, hard to put down; a typical adventure read from these two authors. I have read all of the Brit in the FBI books, now six in the series. They are always an exciting adventure.
I would like to thank Gallery Books for the opportunity to read this book, truly a thumbs up! Due to be released in March of 2019.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I love Mike and Nicholas. They are a great combo. This is a strange case as it involves space, intrigue, and nuclear bomb. Fast action and plenty of twists. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't one of my favorites.
