As someone diagnosed with anxiety and realizing I've dealt with it most of my life due children traumas and having a mother and grandmother who often were in a state of worry,I didn't think I could escape it and while I still have my moments,I've learned that I have to take those moments and focus on God instead of the situation. As a mother it's hard to not worry about your children, in the world we're living in it's hard not to worry about the future but I learned I need to stop,be still and pray.

I received an ARC of this book from Barbour Publishing, Inc. via NetGalley, this review is my personal opinion.

This devotion was a wonderful and unexpected blessing in my life, bible center they help me to understand that God does not want me to live with anxiety and fear. I must say that I didn't realize I was a big worrier until I start reading this devotion. I didn't realize I was living in constant anxiety. I start doing what the name of the title says and I've seen the difference in my life, instead of on worrying I'm learning on pray for everything; the big and the small things. Each devotion has a bible verse, a reflection, and prayer. So you can read them before you start your day. In this busy world we live, it is hard to not worry or get stress. But we can have Bible verse to help you with those hard moments. This book is a great choice I recommend it.

Grateful to Barbour for the ARC of this book

Worry, Less, Pray More: A Woman's Devotional Guide to Anxiety-Free Living by Donna K. Maltese

4 stars

I struggle with anxiety. I don't have debilitating anxiety, but every now and then I am hit by it in waves. I am particularly anxious right now due to my university changing the policies of the program for education a year before I graduate. It was all very last minute and without warning. So, reading this devotional guide was a nice respite from the stress that I'm currently battling with. Of course, anxiety is a tool that the enemy uses to make us question God's goodness, faithfulness, divinity, and love. However, the verses this novel uses are great and offer a lot of comfort. Devotional guides are hit or miss and there were only a few in here that made me kind of scratch my head in disagreement (pertaining to theology). I'm really glad that I decided to pick this one up though. It didn't change my life, but it brought me great solace, encouragement, and directed me to praying to God instead of letting myself get distracted. I definitely recommend it for those who are struggling with anxiety in everyday life or because of major life-altering situations.

I really wanted to leave feedback asap...I am still in the midst of reading this and can update later, but it has been so encouraging! I love the reminder to pray, and the focus on God's Word. I've been through HARD life, and this little book of blessing is well worth the read! We cannot move through life being weighed down, what a great reminder to keep our eyes on the things of God, and allow Him to bring together the things of life that seem impossible!

This is a good classic style of devotional. It contains a verse, body, and prayer. The read quick and have good messages. The prayer is short so you can add to it. All the devotions are title which can be helpful, but I still suggest reading straight through since it's all on the same topic.

The devotional is well written and I suggest it to anyone who wants a quick daily devotional.

I really enjoyed these simple and short devotions. I'm a mom of 5 kids and love little snippets of God's Word to sometimes help me through the day. These devotions start with scripture and then provide you with application and often more information about the scripture. Each day ends with a prayer. I found myself reading multiple devotions when I would sit down to review it and highly enjoyed each one. This is not an in-depth study but it opens the door up to study the scripture and dive deeper into God's Word when you can. The over all message of these devotions is that we are not created to carry the anxiety and stress that the world throws at us or that we create for ourselves. One of the prayers in the book states, "Lord of all, here's what's happening...I'm resolved not to panic but come to You, for in You alone will I find help." This is what it is all about and once we are in God's Word it becomes so much easier to let him carry our burdens. Excellent book that can be read over an over. Perfect gift too.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.

Keeping up with the fast pace of today's world often leaves us filled with stress. How am I going to get through everything on my To-Do list? How can I give my loved ones quality time when there is so little free time? How can I meet everyone's needs and expectations and still take care of myself?

Worry Less, Pray More by Donna K. Maltese offers 180 short readings containing scripture passages and a prayer. These calming meditations for todays woman urges her to live her life trusting in the Lord with confidence that He is in control and can handle it all. They also serve as great reminders that worry never added anything positive to a situation, and that we should turn each worry into a prayer to strengthen our relationship with the God who promises to be always with us.

These bite-size readings each brought me a sense of peace and calm. Whew! I needed that!!

"Worry Less, Pray More " by Donna Maltese is a Women's devotional. It has 180 readings. It is so personal and speaks to those people who struggle with being anxious. The devotional shows the Christian how God can calm you and give you peace. He asks the Christian to give all of their worries to God. We often try to carry our worries but He does not want us to do that. He commands us to give them to Him. He can give us the comfort and peace we need moment by moment. The author writes as if she understands how it is to be anxious and wants others to learn how to have peace in the midst of the troubles we all face. Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book. It is a good resource for Christian Women.

This devotional is filled with quick and easy to read snippets to remind us that we do not need to live anxious or fearful lives. The entries are not deep. They are not exceptionally unique. They are, however, fantastic little reminders - bite-sized doughnut holes of inspiration - to snack on once in a while in a world where it's easy to be consumed with anxious thoughts. I'll keep it handy for those days that my mind needs quieting. Maybe less of a guide, and more a collection of sticky notes to reference quickly.

Thank you to NetGalley and Barbour Publishing, for the read of Donna K. Maltese’s, Worry Less, Pray More.

From the very pretty cover, its connective bible verses and devotions, to the lovely prayers, reading this dedicated devotional to women, inspired in me a real zeal.

I have read many devotional books on prayer and letting go and letting God, with several of them inspiring. But I really connected to this devotional. It touched my spirit, and I have begun to truly start trying to worry less, and by praying more, abandon my anxieties to God.

I think any one would be better for having read this book, spreading its message, and sharing its lovely light.

I am grateful to have received a copy of this book from Barbour Publishing through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in my review are my very own.

The last year has been a tough one for me and I have found myself worrying more than usual. When I saw this devotional, it was something I needed and I was excited to give it a try. I loved these devotionals and the reminder that God is working things out for the greater good. These are perfect “snack size” devotionals that you can use throughout the day to set your heart and mind right and release any worry that’s plaguing you. Thank you @barbourpublishing for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.

I feel this book could have been incredible as it has some good points and suggestions. But like so many devotionals for women, it feels like it has been simplified too much. The writing grated on me, it was far too exclamation point trigger happy.

I tend to worry, so I thought this would be a great book for me to check out, especially as I love devotional books in the first place. The structure is what I expected (verse, devotional message, and prayer), and the readings are short and easy to fit into a busy schedule. The overuse of exclamation points was a bit annoying at times. It wasn't the best book I've read on this topic, but I still came away with some valuable insights.
