This is a beautiful book to share with kids that have cats (or kids who want them). The pictures are gorgeous, the prose is funny. It's clear that Lam understands cats. Parents, teachers, and kids will love this book. Highly recommended!

I liked the story and think littles will enjoy it, too. Might be nice opening to a discussion of how we are alike and different from our families. I would have liked to have had been luck with the illustrations, but the pictures didn't download very well. What I could see of them was fun and they looked bold without too much detail. So might be nice for a small group read.
