This is a great book offering hope for women of faith. I learned so much. I highly recommend this wonderful book.

I really enjoyed this nook and think it is timely given the current climate here in the US. Well written, well researched and made me want to become a bigger activist but also learn more.

I was very interested to see how this how this all would work within a feminist perspective, especially as a feminist myself and looking at these figures from the Bible. I think the book was well-written, though I did skim a few chapters here and there of the contemporary women who I found less interesting. I always enjoy reading about women of the Bible however, and that section held my attention best. This could be a good book to use in a Bible study group.

Interesting and enjoyable read of women in the Bible from Eve to Mary and modern women including Joan of Arc, Oprah and Malala. Each chapter including how their faith helped them overcome awesome problems to become the people they became. The book finishes with a chapter inspiring us to be women of faith.
I thought this book was inspirational and encouraging to any reader although it is clearly aimed at women.
I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

I thought this book was very well written and captured my attention right from the start. It was compelling in many ways even if I didn't always agree with the positions being taken. Thanks for the ARC and the opportunity to read it.
