Tangled up in YOu in the first book from this series and by this author that I have had the pleasure of reading. I loved following Bobby and Teagan's story as they both try to move on and start over. I really enjoyed the additional characters from the previous books, and will be reading the other books in this series.

Another great book from Samantha Chase. Bobby and Teagan are both strongly independent people who each have to learn to lean on others for help. This is a charming and sweet story with the familiar and fun characters we have come to know and love from this author. She knows how to tug on the heartstrings and make the reader fall totally in love with the characters.

This seventh book in the Shaughnessy series is a wonderful story of family, home towns, moving on, and trust. Author Samantha Chase delivers the story of Officer Bobby Hannigan and Teagan Shaughnessy so perfectly, I couldn’t think of anything else while I was reading this!

Teagan’s military husband was KIA before her son, Lucas, was born and when she decided to move across the country to be near family and for a job she was excited about, Lucas wasn’t too pleased but she was determined to make it work. Her parents moved with her to be by the family and help Teagan raise Lucas.

Bobby Hannigan woke up in the hospital to Quinn Shaughnessy’s face. Even though they had rough times in the past, they have since become friends. Friends who know too much about each other…oh and they are now family because Quinn married Bobby’s sister Anna. As Officer Hannigan remembers why he is in the hospital, reality hits him. Unsure of his recovery potential, he becomes reclusive and grouchy.

I loved this storyline and delivery so much! It gave me all the feels…heartbreak, love, frustration, anger, deep feelings….I was pulled into this single mom story so deeply! Add in the hot, sexy cop and the sparks and it was an easy 5 star rating for me! I would whole-heartedly recommend this phenomenal love story!

Contemporary Romance

Carolina coast – Present Day

Police officer Bobby Hannigan is recovering after being shot while off duty and isn’t sure when—or if—he’ll return to work. Because of these worries, he’s not always in the best of moods. Currently, Bobby is staying with his parents and one day is coerced into attending a BBQ at a neighbor’s house. Also attending is a new arrival, Teagan Shaughnessy, a single mother of a little boy, Lucas. The moment Bobby spots Teagan, he’s intrigued by her. But unfortunately, his injured arm decides to wimp out on him, causing him to drop his plate of food, and he takes off in shame. Shortly afterwards, he meets a little boy. Turns out the boy is Lucas and when Teagan comes looking for her son, she encounters him with Bobby. The fledging interest is now a full-fledged attraction.

Lucas never knew his father as he died before he was born. Teagan has mostly sheltered her son from others and as such, never dates. But as Bobby and Teagan continue to meet, which is often since her cousin is married to Bobby’s sister, a relationship develops. Dare she see where it will lead? Bobby’s job is in Myrtle Beach, while Teagan’s new home is here. How could they even make it work with what is more than a short commuting distance? She also fears that if they break up, Lucas will end up hurt as he’s becoming attached to Bobby. Should she cut ties now?

There are plenty of mixed emotions in play for Teagan and Bobby in TANGLED UP IN YOU as they struggle to decide if there can be any chance of a relationship between them. While she is the only child of a military family and is used to moving around, the past few years she has lived at home with her parents while she raised her son. Her parents were the ones who decided to move to South Carolina, and she followed, where for the first time she has her own home. In a few weeks, Teagan will start work at Lucas’s school as a guidance counselor. The relationship between her and Bobby starts out slow in this tale, though it’s clear there is an instant attraction. Neither feels like they have anything to offer the other, what with Teagan not wanting to bring a man into her life, while Bobby still has hopes of returning to law enforcement—and his home—in Myrtle Beach.

TANGLED UP IN YOU is part of Ms. Chase’s long-running The Shaughnessy Brothers series, which means that this tale has several Shaughnessy family members ending up in scenes with Teagan and Bobby. However, it can easily be read a standalone even if you haven’t read any of the prior books in the series.

Readers will ride along with Teagan and Bobby on their bumpy road to romance in TANGLED UP IN YOU, but it’s one that will have you rooting for them to find a happily-ever-after. Life hasn’t been easy for them, so making love work is a well-earned reward. Be sure to put TANGLED UP IN YOU on your book shopping list.

I'm a huge fan of the Shaughnessy Brothers - and the series :) - but I had a hard time liking Bobby based on his brief appearances in previous books. That said, I really did enjoy learning more about Bobby and how single mom Teagan was able to break through his exterior. This couple definitely belonged together and this book was a fairly quick read for me!

I freaking loved this book in the Shaughnessy series!!! Bobby and Teagan’s story captured my spirit in the first few pages. I could not put it away! Everything about these two just connects like puzzle pieces in my mind. I know I say this with every release by Samantha Chase, but she just gets her readers and the stories that touch their hearts. The series you can read over and over and still fall in love!!

Sweet Ending to the series!

The Shaughnessy series closes out on the story of Teagan (Quinn’s cousin) and Bobby (Quinn’s childhood neighbour, nemesis, and Anna’s brother (Quinn’s wife). And this book was something special! Teagan is a single mother to a young boy. She and her son as well as her parents move back to Carolina to be with their extended family. Teagan is not looking for a man in her life and if she was, Bobby is not whom she would choose. Bobby is a police officer who is recovering from a gunshot to his shoulder. Unfortunately, his prognosis is not great for a full recovery, but he is determined. But Bobby is a grumpy patient at his parents’ home and the family has had enough of it. They understand his frustration, but they need him to start taking care of himself and looking at his future options.

The slow build, push and pull between Teagan and Bobby and the way Lucas (Teagan’s son) is always included is a special journey. The interactions with the rest of the Shaughnessy clan are classic family, where they support, tease and genuinely love each other. This book was all consuming, I loved it!

Samantha Chase has a way with words that weave themselves into a bewitching story. Tangled Up In You spins a story that grabs you by your heart. Part of the Shaughnessy Family series, Teagan Shaughnessy and her son give hope to an injured friend. This relationship builds and grows into something so much more.
Losing your purpose in life could be a deadly blow, Bobby Hannigan can attest to that. It was heartrending to see Bobby go through the emotional turmoil after the physical injury. Connections to the Shaughnessy family bring recently returning Teagan and Bobby together. Bobby’s struggle to accept and realign his life to the current reality is stirring and thought provoking. Instead of becoming negative, the story is genuine, sweet, romantic and encouraging.
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a story that is part entertaining and all heartwarming. This is one of my favorite stories this year. Easy to get engrossed in the story and great for a rainy weekend.

Oh, Samantha Chase… you are amazing. You find just the right words to pull at my heart while keeping my brain jumping with thoughts on where this story will take me.

Teagan is wonderful. She is a single mom who has experienced so much loss already and is now opening her heart to finding love and happiness again. I was in awe of her strength, her carefulness, and her love for her son.

Bobby is just as amazing but he has different issues to overcome. He is healing from a gunshot wound, trying to learn how to accept help, and figuring out how to put his reputation behind him.

The attraction between Bobby and Teagan is instant, steamy, and so sweet. There is no doubt that they belong together but it isn’t quite that easy. Between the two of them they have to find a way to form a family that includes a son, a huge family, and a history that both of them haven’t figured out how to move past.

I have loved the Shaughnessy Brothers series, and over time have come to see them as one of my favorite fictional families. They are real, believable and their stories have only gotten more poignant, more realistic over time as well. If I had to pick a favorite novel from this series it would have to be TANGLED UP IN YOU for several reasons. Mostly though because Teagan’s and Bobby’s lives, emotions, and situations were so real that they broke my heart and eventually healed it back again along with their own. It takes a powerful story to have me crying actual tears, oh, misty eyes yes that’s common but to be reaching for the tissues to wipe my face — that is a story that got to me, and this one certainly did.

Teagan is a strong woman, she’s had to be. The man she was to marry was killed during his deployment and he never got to see their son. She’s built a life for her son, Lucas. Put herself through school and now has the job she’s wanted as a guidance counselor. The job requires a move back to where her extended family lives but with her parents also making the move it’s no hardship and certainly an adventure for them all. She never wanted to fall in love with a man who constantly puts his life on the line ever again. The heartache, the pain is simply too much to contemplate. She also never expected to find Bobby at a time when he would need her friendship the most – or for the direction their friendship would move to.

Bobby is facing a career-ending injury. Being a police officer is his life and he cannot imagine not being able to do that. With intense rehabilitation, there is the chance he can return, and he is determined to make the most of that chance. Meeting Teagan and her son, Lucas, came at just the right time. Neither expected to find love and getting beyond Tegan’s fears will take some persuasion and understanding. Yet the happiness of this woman and one sweet little boy would be enough, but if Bobby can have it all he intends to try.

TANGLED UP IN YOU is going to wreck your heart. It’s that simple. The pain both Teagan and Bobby have gone through are different yet so very real and believable. Watching them lean on each other, finding a passion between them, loving one little boy and each other was a delightful journey. It will break your heart, yes, but you’ll also find the joy and healing that loving someone can be in life. I would recommend this story to any Romance reader no matter your preferred genre. This one is real, it feels it and presents itself as something that could happen to anyone despite the career choices of our couple. Life happens and we either adapt or sink. Samantha Chase has always given me a good story – this time she presented me with a gem that I will return to again.

This was the perfect ending to the Shaughnessy series. I’ve always loved Bobby Hannigan and especially seeing him and Quinn and their bickering. This time Quinn was definitely there for Bobby in more of a brotherly role and I enjoyed this part of their relationship. Teagan was such a great heroine and love interest for Bobby and her son Lucas was exactly what this playboy bachelor needed to turn into the great hero you knew he could always be. I especially liked the beginning starting in the past with Quinn owing Bobby a favor and I also liked when he was talking about Quinn’s mom that was such a touching part of this story. The concert was great especially getting to visit our favorite band members and their awesome ladies. I was sad reading this but Samantha Chase definitely did a great job with this book and gave us such an amazing family to know and fall in love with and ended The Shaughnessy’s on such a high note!

5 Star Review of Tangled Up In You (The Shaughnessy Brothers #7) by Samantha Chase
I have read several of the books in this series and enjoyed them all. Tangled Up In You was no different and in fact this may well be my favourite.
This is single mum Teagan Shaughnessy and Bobby Hannigan’s story and oh what a story it is. I love how involved the Shaughnessy family is in one another lives. Now that Teagan has moved to town, they set their matchmaking sights on her.
I was riveted from the start with this book and it was fantastic to see some familiar characters make an appearance. This book at times was an emotional roller coaster with plenty of drama, angst and love sprinkled throughout.
The last thing Teagan wants or needs is to become involved with a man, never really having gotten over her fiance dying serving their county. Now, despite herself and knowing that the timing is horrid, she finds herself drawn to Bobby, a family friend and a policeman who has been badly injured and is still recovering.
I have always loved the dynamics of the Shaughnessy family, the love and commitment they have to one another and their friends is wonderful. The relationship between Teagan and Bobby is heart warming as is the relationship with her son. I really loved the slow build to love that Teagan and Bobby go through and despite the distance, it was fitting for these two people who so needed to find a happily ever after.
I was given this book through the publisher and NetGalley

First off, FAN-FLIPPING-TASTIC!!!!! OH! MY!! GOSH!!! Thank you, Samantha Chase, for writing this story and extending the Shaughnessy series for one more book! I FLOVED every single word!!!
I have either read and/or listened to every book in this series and was wishing for a story for Bobby Hannigan. We first really met Bobby Hannigan in Ms. Chase’s book Always My Girl, which is about Bobby’s sister Anna and Quinn Shaughnessy. There was a bit of animosity between Bobby and Quinn because of the way Quinn had been treating his sister. Yes, that has been worked out, but they (Bobby and Quinn) still give each other crap. So, when Bobby is shot in the line of duty and Bobby wakes alone in the hospital and sees Quinn, Bobby know Quinn will not sugar coat his injuries. Now, Bobby has moved home with his parents until he is healed enough to e living on his own. He has become a bit of a grumpy bear, which is understandable because he is possibly losing his career as the only kind of police officer he has ever wanted to be, in the field, not stuck at a desk job. He also wants to do EVERYthing for himself, and with his arm in a sling, that is just not happening. So, when Bobby starts fumbling his plate at the Shaughnessy barbeque, and Teagan reaches to help him, he excuses himself and walks away, back to his parent’s house. Great way to make a first impression, Mr. Grumpy Pants!
Teagan Shaughnessy is an army brat and has moved around the country with her parents until her father retired and they finally settled in Colorado, of course near a military base where she met Logan, her 5-year-old son Lucas’s, father. However, Logan died in combat before he ever had a chance to even learn that he was going to become a father. Now, Teagan and her parents have decided to move back to the Carolina coast to be closer to family. So, when she starts talking the sexy as sin man with his arm in a sling, yikes…. Then, when he starts to fumble his plate, she tries to help him and grabs his plate before he drops it Bobby mumbles “excuse me” and stomps away!!!!
I loved watching Bobby and Teagan work out their feelings and start building their relationship. I really like the way Lucas and Bobby developed their bond, and I cried like a baby when Bobby asks…. Sorry Ladies. I am not giving any spoilers away.
I really love the way that Ms. Chase caught us up with everything in the ll of the members of the Shaughnessy family. Especially, when she wrote about….. Sorry ladies, if you are a fan of Samantha Chase and ALLLLLLL of her books, including the ones her editor hated, well, I said no spoilers, and…. STOP. NO SPOILERS. But it is sooooo hard sometimes!!!!! I will say this I FREAKING LOVED CHAPTER 8!!!!!! SIGH!!!!!
Thank you, Samantha Chase for sharing your phenomenal writing talents with your readers. In my opinion, you are one of those writers that never, EVER writes a bad book!!! Thank you for the hours and hours of reading and listening enjoyment you give me. Yes, I also buy her books from Audible, so I can listen to them over and over.
So, before I give something away, and ruin your fun of finding out what I am writing about, I am going to end my review.
Thank you for reading my review.
NOW, what are you waiting for????? Go hit that purchase button and see what I and everyone else that has read this phenomenal book is talking about!!!

The title could not be better. Bobby and Teagan are both going through life changes that make this the wrong time to get into a relationship. Unfortunately for them, their families will be interwoven for years to come. There will be no avoiding one another should this end badly.

Teagan's young son will never know his biological father. They have always depended on Grandma and Grandpa to help fill that void. Moving across the country will be a big adjustment for them all but also a big opportunity to step out of the past and embrace the future.

Bobby comes from a loud, meddling, and slightly wild family. He does not need them watching his every moment of recovery. Waiting to be cleared back to active duty is driving him crazy, especially with possibility he might not go back at all. Teagan and her son are certainly a distraction, but could they be more?
