I love the Shaughnessy family so much. The Shaughnessy Brothers series is so amazing. Tangled Up in You is fabulous. You get a few of the Shaughnessy men in this one. You will love Teagan and her son Lucas. Teagan is a Shaughnessy cousin and a single mom with so much strength. I how she puts her cousin Quinn in his place. She is just amazing. When Bobby Hannigan (Anna's brother, Quinn's brother-in-law) enters the picture you can feel the sparks fly. Bobby goes through a lot in this one. You really feel for him. He is amazing with kids and that includes Teagan's son too. You understand Teagan's reasons why and Bobby issues too. Bobby and Teagan go through this wonderful transformation together that will melt your heart in the end. This is my favorite book of this series so far. Tangles Up in You will pull you in from the start and leave your heart so filled with love in the end. Go pick this one up today.

Samantha Chase’s Tangled Up In You is an honest and heartbreaking story of one man’s struggle to accept that an injury may prevent him from returning to a job that he loves. I loved Bobby Hannigan’s relationship with Quinn Shaughnessy in the earlier books in this series, especially when Quinn started to date his sister Anna. Their give and take relationship is tested as Quinn is tasked with telling Bobby about the extent of his injuries. Ms Chase kept the characters true to themselves in this poignant, important conversation. These paragraphs are perfectly written-honest, heartbreaking and emotional. Most importantly, they set the tone for the story.
Teagan Shaughnessy and her five year old son Lucas have moved from Colorado to North Carolina for a fresh start. Her parents have relocated with them and Teagan has found her dream job as an elementary school guidance counselor. Lucas’ father died before he was born. Teagan is a strong self-sufficient single mom who earned both her undergrad and graduate degrees while caring for her son. Lucas is Teagan’s world until Bobby shows up at a family barbeque.
Samantha Chase writing style has evolved in this series-she excels in writing small town stories filled with relatable characters. In Tangled Up In You, she digs into the emotional after effects of a life threatening injury and the unexpected, tragic loss of a loved one. Being a cop defined Bobby Hannigan. Teagan’s life was turned upside down when Logan, her fiancé was killed in Afghanistan. She has concentrated on her studies and her son comes first.
I loved how Bobby and Teagan’s story unfolded during this book. Teagan tells Bobby that they can only be friends but, that quickly changes. Their chemistry sizzled and their sensuous love scenes were perfectly written for this couple. Loved how the relationship between Bobby and Lucas developed—lots of humor when Bobby teaches Lucas how to play ball.
The conflict between these two strong willed characters kept me reading—Bobby is all about being a cop and Teagan is afraid that one day he will not come home. Samantha Chase has written a book centered on family; what it means to be part of a family, how to accept unconditional love and most of all to have faith in each other. Ms. Chase’s descriptive voice kept me reading – as I wasn’t sure how the story would play out.
I enjoyed this fabulous story—it has all the feels—and – yes, she made me cry—again!

There isn’t a Chase book that I haven’t absolutely loved and this one is no exception!!!

Bobby & Teagan are so good together. They both have a lot of baggage to work through but they have a ton of support to get through it.

The author really shows you the true sense of love and family with this one!!!

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am an avid Samantha Chase fan, and this is not the first book that I’ve read by her. I love the way she writes! Her stories are sweet and romantic but without too much heat to make you blush while you’re reading them.

Teagan and Bobby’s story is Book #7 in the Shaughnessy Brothers Series but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Teagan is a single mom to Lucas who moves to NC (my state) from Colorado to be closer to family and start a new job. Bobby is a police officer who is recovering from being shot while off duty, but he is also a confirmed bachelor who has dated every girl in town until he meets “the one”.

“Tangled Up in You” by Samantha Chase is book # 7 in The Shaughnessy Brothers. Even though it is book #7 it can very well be read as a standalone. You will want to go back and read the first 6 after you’ve read this book. This book just like all of the other Shaughnessy books pulled me in and didn’t let go until I was done. It was a quick and easy read. This book made me laugh as well as made me cry. Samantha always writes wonderful and emotional stories. I don’t know how she does it but each book is better than the one before it. This book has it all sense of family, passion, love and all the emotions that go along with a great story. This is not a book to be missed.

Bobby and Teagan’s unexpected love story is another amazing addition to Samantha Chase’s Shaughnessy Brothers series. We met Bobby when he sister Anna finally found her HEA with Quinn Shaughnessy in Always My Girl; but book seven, Tangled Up in You, is a standalone story and all relevant information is provided. Playboy Bobby suffered a gunshot wound which could end his police career. He can’t imagine what he would do if that happens and becomes quite the grouch. Then he encounters Teagan, a single mom who just moved with her young son to the Carolina coast to be near her Shaughnessy cousins. She, more than anyone, understands Bobby’s struggles, but they each have plans for a future, that did not involve falling in love. It might not be the best of times for this to happen to them, but then it does feel right. Maybe, a change in plans, jobs, and locations will make life easier for Bobby and Teagan to together, have their own happy ending.

I really enjoyed revisiting with Anna and Quinn, especially seeing Quinn giving Bobby payback for all those times he tried to interfere in his relationship with Anna. Teagan and her son fit right in with all the Shaughnessys, their wives, and their children. Teagan’s parents also made a great impact on this relationship and story. Of course, Bobby and Teagan needed all the help they could get.

Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Bobby and Teagan the love, understanding and future together, that they both needed. I highly recommend Tangled Up in You to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Teagan and her son Lucas have just moved to the Carolina coast to be close to her family. And at one of the family get togethers she meets Bobby. Bobby is recuperating from a gun shot wound and not healing as fast as he would like, and that’s making him insufferable and broody. Where everyone has an opinion, the understanding he gets from Teagan makes him start falling for her. But Teagan is a little cautious, she does have a young son to think about.
I enjoyed reading Tangled up in you. It is a well written and smooth read. They both have an emotional baggage to deal with and I enjoyed how the relationship grew between them. Catching up with characters from the previous books was like meeting old friends, a perfect icing on the cake.

Tangled Up In You
Shaughnessy Brothers #7
Samantha Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book had all the feels. It was beautifully written, with characters I really felt and all of the Shaughnessy clan – no surprise I love them.

Bobby Hannigan has always been an honorary Shaughnessy, he fits into their lives in many ways. But after being shot, this police officer and friend is hitting rock bottom. It was sad and devastating to see his loss, it was so real that I actually cried (that wasn’t going to be the last time either). Now he’s returning to the Carolina Coast to live be with his parents while he rehabilitates.

Widowed single mum, Teagan Shaughnessy has found her perfect job, has moved across the country with 5 yr old son, Lucas to transition her life… It hasn’t been an easy ride but having her parents close by has always been a godsend. Now she’s living in Anna Shaughnessy’s old home to start her new life.

Humorously it is a dislike for Quinn Shaughnessy that has them meeting up, and it’s not a fuzzy feelings moment, with severe injures to his arm, Bobby almost drops a plate, losing his temper and walks out of the family bbq, and a confused Teagan. Only moments later, they come face to face again and the chemistry is sooo hot right there.

Add together 2 broken people for totally different reasons, and their relationship with the Shaughnessy clan, it’s only a matter of time before they give way to there attraction. It’s wasn’t easy, but so sweet, very gritty and emotional roller coaster ride, brings them together. Bobby who always was a family man,( this was obvious with his nieces and nephews) finds himself a instant one. Super strong Teagan doesn’t give In easily but seeing Lucas confide in Bobby melts her heart.

Oh wow! What a wonderful story of moving on! Teagan was moving on from being a single mom and Bobby was moving on after an altercation lays him up. And the best part... they moved on together. I love stories where the consummate bachelor falls head over heals. And bonus! He falls for her son too!

A Samantha Chase read is like a favorite treat. There's no way I can stop at just one. Chase opens our eyes to the best and worst that emotion has to offer by showing our hearts all the possibilities. Tangled Up in You is my lastest addiction. Chase gives readers a stroll down memory lane with a familiar family and some fresh new faces. Finally, Bobby Hannigan gets what he deserves and it's not what I'd have expected. I remember Bobby as Anna's older brother, from Always my Girl and to be honest, he didn't make the best first impression. However, with a little help from life, he cleans up quite nice. The human bulldozer finally shows us his sensitive side. Who knew a Shaughnessy could tame the beast by giving him a reason to smile?

Samantha Chase has done it again - she has combined a perfect sense of family, terrific story telling and the exact amount of passion and emotion to completely captivate her readers. I absolutely loved the honest and true romance between Bonny and Teagen. Just when Bobby thinks all of his hopes and dreams are dashed away with one bullet wound, along comes Teagen who is at a cross roads in her life. She thinks she only has time to be a single mother but when the two are brought together at a family BBQ all bets are off. You never know where your life will end up when your goals change - you just have to be open to the possibilities. This was another fabulous read from Samantha Chase.

Bobby can read his woman like a book, "laughing, Bobby reached for his coffee cup and took a sip. “So your idea of a date is sending me to the grocery store, is that what you’re saying?” She shrugged and took another bite." There are times Bobby and Teagan start things that they don't have time to finish, “that’s a loaded question, sweetheart. I’d love nothing more than to take you back to your place for a little while and continue what we started up against that wall.” I liked this book, I loved Bobby.

Although this book is a part of the Shaughnessy Brothers Series, this book is about their cousin, Teagan, and their lifelong friend, Bobby. Teagan and her five-year-old son leave Colorado and move to the Carolina coast, following her parents who make their retirement home in the same small town as the massive, loveable Shaughnessy clan. Bobby had moved away to Myrtle Beach years ago, but is back in town recuperating after sustaining a gunshot injury when he interrupted a robbery gone wrong as an off-duty police officer. Despite his player reputation, the beautiful Shaughnessy cousin and her young son spark a desire and need to protect that Bobby has never experienced before.

Small-town romance always appeals to me, but when you add in a big, loveable, interfering family, it’s the perfect setup. Teagan is an admirable heroine, a single parent who has her act together and will do anything for her son. And Bobby, in spite of his reputation, is a terrific guy who's loyal to family, great with children and has a huge heart. I loved these two characters together, and their journey to forever is a delightful, heartfelt, enchanting read that you don’t want to miss.

I love this series by Samantha Chase. I have been a fan for years and I love her stories so much. This book is about Bobby Hannigan, who one night gets a gunshot wound that ends his career as a police officer. Teagan Shaughnessy is a single mom who understands him. Teagan just move back to Caroline with her son to be closer to her family. The chemistry is instant. I really enjoyed this book.

When I received the ARC for “Tangled Up in You,” it turned out be a very pleasant surprise. It’s the 7th book in the much-loved and highly popular “The Shaughnessy Brothers” series. And this time, Bobby Hannigan, a supporting character of many of the earlier books takes center stage.

The heroine is single mom Teagan Shaughnessy, first cousin to the Shaughnessy brothers and she just moved to South Carolina from Colorado with her whole family.

Bobby and Teagan met during the worst time of Bobby’s life. Still recovering from a gunshot wound, Bobby does not know if he can go back as an active duty police officer, a career he loves and dreamed of since he was a kid.

But, while Bobby’s wounds are physical, Teagan’s are emotional. It has been 5 years since her fiancé Logan died in Afghanistan, but her son reminds her everyday of her lost love. Two broken people does not make a whole, but Bobby and Teagan are willing to make it. The problem is that their past kept on creeping up on them.

My first reaction to “Tangled Up in You” was that it was an afterthought. Bobby Hannigan had been in so many of the books that though he was not a Shaughnessy, he deserves a book. And after reading it, yes, he did deserve a book.

But the story is not an afterthought; nor was it written just to appease fans. It was written because it needed to be written. Bobby and Teagan’s story sums up why Samantha Chase is so successful as a romance writer and also reaffirmed why she is one of my favorite contemporary romance writers.

In a world wherein dysfunctional families seem to be the norm; Chase tells stories about well adjusted families. Yes, they are not perfect, by they solve their problems by being together.

In my eyes, Chase’s strength as a writer (and why I love her stories so much) is summed up in the scene during the parade when 5-year old Lucas was sitting on Bobby’s lap and said, “We’re a family. This the first time I’m here and have a mom and a dad with me and that made me happy.” Out of the mouth of babes!

Maybe, I have a Pollyanna complex. Then again, I also read sci-fi/fantasy book about dystopian futures. I also love reading paranormal that usually does not end well for humans.

Still I love happy endings. That’s why I read romances. And Bobby and Teagan’s story just touched my heart because it proved that happiness is reachable for everyone.

“Tangled Up in You” is Rated T for Teens.

This was a fast, easily read, feel good book.
The story of Bobby and Teagan will fill you with emotions throughout their journey. Teagan's son Lucas was a cute bonus, along with all their families making appearances.
So much in a relatively short time, but when it's right, it's right and you just know it.
I received an ARC thru NetGalley and am giving my honest thoughts and opinions

So while part of the Shaughnessy Brothers series this is actually about a Shaughnessy cousin - Teagan. She has just moved with her son to the same small town on the Carolina coast as her family... and this is where she meets an injured grumpy Bobby Hannigan (neighbour to the Shaughnessy brothers when they were growing up)

It was an entertaining read although at times Bobby's attitude started to get on my nerves (much like it sounds like it did to his family in the story).

I have been waiting for Bobby Hannigan's book and I was not disappointed. Teagan has only loved one man and he was killed even before they had a chance to start a life together. No man has ever peaked her interest until she meets Bobby Hannigan. Teagan is cautious because it is not just her to think of, she has her son to consider too. Bobby was shot while off duty and now his career is in jeopardy and hates depending on people and asking for help. Bobby is at a family picnic when he runs into Teagan. His interest in her is immediate. Bobby has never had to work to get a girl and Teagan is proving to be a challenge. I absolutely love Teagan and Bobby together and Teagan definitely gives Bobby is so understanding and caring for Teagan and his relationship with her son is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed Bobby and Teagan's story and as always i enjoyed all of the characters in this series, especially Quinn and Bobby's bantering. What a great story.

Bobby Hannigan is Anna Shaughnessy nee Hannigan's brother. He has quite the history with Quinn Shaughnessy especially when he saw what his sister Anna went through loving Quinn until he realized that she was not just his friend but also the love of his heart. Now Tegan Shaughnessy Quinn's cousin has moved to town and it's Quinn's turn for payback as Bobby and Tegan flirt around the idea of love and a happily ever after. Just when I thought there were no more Shaughnessy's Ms. Chase gives us one more.
Bobby Hannigan is recovering from a gun shot wound that prevents him from going back to his active job as a police officer in the beach town he makes his home. Teagan and her family move to the Caroline coast to be close to her other Shaughnessy cousins and to give her young son a stable environment amongst family. Their first meeting is hardly the kind that spells romance and yet a quiet friendship is born. Quinn Shaughnessy however does all he can to encourage and derail any budding friendship. Is he getting a bit of his own back?
For readers who've enjoyed the series it's like going back to the bosom of the family and catching up on all the happenings while Teagan and Bobby's story plays out. Interestingly both Teagan and Bobby are gun shy and Teagan has her kindergarten aged son to consider who is seeing Bobby as the father figure he never had.
Definitely a convoluted journey which sometimes irritated me as a reader but of course all's well that ends well.
