This is one of my new favorite beach reads! It's sweet and light and a little dark but not too much so. Jill Mansell is amazing!

I love this book! One of the reasons I enjoyed the plot is, knowing it is a Women’s Fiction book, I hope the ending will be happy. Yet, I also had no idea what was going to happen. I had hopes and wishes, but honestly, I was never certain of the outcome.
I am struggling to write a review, because I think “not knowing” too much about some books, before you read them is a good thing. Sometimes reviews will tell you more than you should know. They then, in my opinion, ruin the enjoyment of reading the book and letting your imagination and emotions go along with the ups and downs of the plot.
Therefore I am torn, how can I write about how great this book is, without talking about the plot? I guess my best try at this is the say that I think Jill Mansell is a fabulous writer! She has created another wonderful world in this book (as she has in her other books). I adore her characters. Each one is unique and memorable. Each person is the result of their past, and this is definitely shown in Jill’s wonderful character development.
Her scenery descriptions are just as great as her character development. I have never been to any area like in this book, yet I felt transported to each place.
Some parts of books I find funny, but they do not make me laugh out loud. This book did, several times! It was unexpected at times too! I was reading, so involved in the story, then Bam! I start laughing. There are some humorous situations and thoughts by the main female character that had me smiling quite a bit.
The book also had a very sad situation that was in the background of the plot most of the book. This made the story realistic to me and had me crying a few times. When a bad situation happens, there are two choices, to move forward, or be stuck in the rut of depression. This story has the characters moving forward and they find a brighter future as time goes by. The author pulled so much emotion from me while reading this fantastic story.
I want to thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for giving me the immense pleasure of reading this book. I hope that many readers find it and enjoy it as much as I did.

I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
This book will be a quick great summer read. I enjoyed this book enough to finish it, but not sure it was my favorite. I really don't want to say it's an awful book as Ive never really read any of this authors books. But for me, it just didn't grab me. It took me awhile to read this novel as it didn't hold my attention. And yet I did want to find out what happened. I'm thinking fans of this author will love this novel tho. And like I said it would be a great by the pool summer read. I like how she wraps the novel up. And there were a couple moments where I had a good chuckle.

I really enjoyed Maybe This Time. The characters are relatable and sweet that make the reader invested into the character development. Mimi is definitely a character I believe many women can relate with on her life journey. I enjoyed the family elements, but as well as the sorrow that comes with loss. My only complain is it was a little confusing to know how much time had passed during the story. It would be helpful for future readers to know how many years/months has passed to better understand where the character and other characters are at in their stories.

I haven’t read many of Jill Mansells books, but I did love this one! I couldn’t wait to go to bed to find out what the next chapter had instore for Mimi! The story begins with Mimi visiting her father and his partner in a quiet little village where she meets Cal but turns out he’s married so off limits, she herself stays in London with her best friend who turns out to be a not so good friend, who steals her boyfriend! After which Mimi escapes back to the countryside to figure out what to do next since she had been working for her boyfriend the relationship breaking down meant she had no job. The story takes a few twists and turns to the whole way through I couldn’t tell how she was ever going to find happiness as always the story shines to the right ending I don’t want to give too much away and spoil the story but it will have you in tears but ending smiling!

A lighthearted read set in the Cotswolds, MAYBE THIS TIME is a sweet, fun look at the goings-on of a village with heart. I really enjoyed the characters, and I was genuinely sad to say goodbye at the end to the lovely little village and their slightly dysfunctional, big hearted family. Jill Mansell’s latest is a fun read, perfect for the beach.

Another happy, comfort read from Jill Mansell. Although much of the plot is predictable that was part of the attraction of this happy easy read and it provided a useful tool after the trauma of finishing a much darker book. It takes you from Flat life in London to a Cotswold village and also to Majorca.
I recommend this as a good read if you are prepared to read late into the night and want an escape from the realities of life.

Thank you for an advanced copy in return for a review.

A most definite fun and charming read from beginning to end! An enjoyable and exciting ride--including pages filled with ups and downs and unexpected events. The reader will enjoy the challenges and the very satisfying adventures. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this title prior to publication--it was a total joy that I just loved!

I almost always enjoy Jill Mansell's novels, and this was no exception. I'm giving it only three stars because I think it went on too long, with too many artificial barriers to the central romance. But if you're in the mood for a pleasant romance set in the Cotswolds, give this a try.

s per usual a superb story from Jill Mansell!! The characters were all wonderful, and had my imagination running riot!!
I was taken to all different places, but I always thought, that if you are travelling from London to the Cotswolds, that would be 'travelling UP' not down!! But heyho, loved it anyway!!

As a US reader, Jill Mansells latest novel, Maybe this time, transcends continents. It is an utter love story through and through. Maybe this time will make you laugh, make you cry and most importantly, believe in love again. The story flowed well. The characters were well developed and likable, the story conclusions was expected and inevitable. The best love stories are the ones that end exactly how you want them to and this one provide perfect closure. 4 stars.

I should have known better! Every time I read a Jill Mansell book it’s the same - I can’t stop reading it! I started too late in the day, read late and had to force myself to put it down to sleep THEN - I woke up in the night and started reading again... good job the next day was Friday and I only had to stagger, bleary eyed, through one day of work. Did I mention that I love Jill Mansell?
Nobody writes about village life better - I want to move to the Cotswolds and make friends with the characters in this book. I devour the book then mourn that it’s over, and though I find the characters believable I’m unashamedly happy with the knowledge that I’m going to be left with a warm feeling at the end (though there were definitely a few tears on the way).
It’s hard to remember when I enjoyed a few hours reading as much as this - probably around this time last year!!

Overall this was a great book, exactly what you come to expect from Jill Mansell who I consider one of the chick lit greats. I can’t get away from the nagging feeling that the first few chapters were a bit clunky, they were needed to set the story but the jumping about confused me slightly. I would not use this as a reason to not recommend this book. The conclusion was satisfying and the story telling sublime.

Cute chicklit book set in London and a small village in the Cotswold region. Love and work drama, friendships, and love.

Not very believable for grownups, but hasn't every woman hoped for a happy ending and such good friends at least a few times in her life? Personally, I'd have loved to meet these villagers.

I did enjoy this book and was drawn to it because of the author. To be honest I found it a bit boring at times but that may be because I’m reading too much crime.

The characters are lovely and their lives are recognizable.

I am just in a different headspace right now.

Another fabulous Jill Mansell book. 100% loved it. Agonising slow burn romance, so torturous but worth it. The characters are so loveable, relatable and funny. You can’t put it down. I read this in one sitting. A great spring/summer read , light and happy but with plenty of emotion.

A fun chick lit book. Mimi enjoys getting to know the neighbors and friends in the town where her father moved to. Different life events have led her to spend more time there, develop friendships, and even a crush. This lighthearted story expands on Mimi's friendship with Lois, and leaves the reader wondering if she'll take the plunge and get together with Cal.

This is a story with likable characters and a couple that's destined to be together, only it takes them forever to get there. Now I want to live in the Cotswolds for a bit...

Thank you to Headline and NetGalley for the ARC.
