Caden Marshall, a recently divorced single dad, accepts a job as a professor at the area college. While it’s a steady job, it’s not what Caden really longs to do. Caden is author who made the best seller’s list, but now has serious writer’s block. After being accused of stealing his ex’s ideas for his novel, he’s not sure writing is in the cards for him anymore. So he does the next best thing by teaching writing at the college. His daughter, Ava, being his main focus.

Gabby Langdon is a successful attorney who doesn’t really want to be an attorney. Gabby, the whimsical one in her family, has tried just about everything. As a people pleaser, Gabby wants to make everyone happy. She became an attorney because her dad wanted her to follow in his footsteps, do something that was steady. What Gabby really wanted to do, was write. So she enrolls in a nighttime writing class at the area college. Where she instantly clashes and is equally attracted to her professor, Caden...

Miranda Liasson hits it out of the park with this one! This novel is the second in the series, but can definitely be read without reading the first novel. This story is about having the courage to jump off that cliff and go after your dreams. Sometimes that means confronting the past, letting go, and going for it. It’s scary, but you’d regret it if you didn’t go for it. It’s also about making yourself happy, regardless of what other people think. Be you! Love yourself enough to do what’s best for you, then all the other pieces will fall into place. I absolutely 💕 it! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Book two in the Angel falls series. A myth that a coin thrown into the water, a kiss and a picture will give the couple love and happiness always. His book has the sister of Sara (from first book) Gabby who is a lawyer but has done lots of other classes to stimulate her mind. She meets Cade at college as she takes a writing course. Cade has a daughter and a bad married along with a stalled writing career. As things happen between them it’s taking a lot for Cade to trust again. I loved this story. You could see there was something there between them but Cade fought it all the while. A great story with some great characters including Nonna. I want Nonna and the things she says.

5 - "Are you flirting with me… Professor…?" Stars!

We return to Angel Falls for the second book in Miranda Liasson’s hugely enjoyable series. The Way You Love Mebrings us back to the Langdon family with Lawyer Gabby meeting the man who will have a huge impact on her private life as well as her potential writing career.

"I’d eat chicken nuggets with that guy anytime…"

Single Daddy, best-selling author, and divorcee, Cade Marshall is back in town, to try and give a settled home life for his young daughter Ava, move on from the scandal his ex-wife created, and start a new job as a Professor at the local college. His first meeting with his student Gabby doesn’t go too well, but it’s not long that their attraction is stronger than their initial dislike of each other.

This was the first time since his divorce he’d felt such a powerful attraction-and wanted to act on it…

Slow burn romance for sure, and this is a couple who take a while to work out how a relationship will work between them, Cade also has his own baggage to process and move on from, but once again I find myself immersed in the story playing out between them as well as the rest of the Langdon family in general. Firefighter Rafe Langdon and his bestie Kaitlyn in particular.

"I want you… it’s all I can think of."

And thankfully their story is due next, later on this year in - All I Want For Christmas is You. I am absolutely loving this series, so am looking forward to reading more from it, especially if it’s a story set around Christmas!

The Way You Love Me is book 2 in the Angel Falls series by Miranda Liasson and another well written and great addition to this series.

Gabby Langdon is a bored but successful attorney who has always been about pleasing others ... while deep down she wants to be a writer so she decides to take a writing class at her hometown college taught by best selling author Caden Marshall. What she doesn’t expect is the chemistry and sparks between them! Caden on the other hand only wants to have a steady income for raising his daughter after the scandal that rocked his world and has writers block to boot.

Can these two keep things neutral or will the chemistry be to much and they both loose what may come to be the most important relationship in their lives?.

I really enjoyed book 2 in the Stay series by Miranda Liasson because it has everything I look for when I want to lose myself in a great romance. I was emotionally drawn to Gabby’s close knit family who have experienced the loss of their mother, the second marriage of their father and are now sharing care taking duties for their beloved grandmother who has Alzheimer’s Disease. Having lost my father to Alzheimer’s it was easy to feel a great deal of empathy for this wonderful family. The sexual tension between Gabby, and her love interest Cord, is absolutely delicious and I so enjoyed the antics of Cord’s 3 year old daughter Ava. My favorite thing about this book is the small town setting of Angel Falls which is loosely based on my small town! It was a real pleasure to read all about the shops on Main Street, the falls on the Chagrin River and the Blossom Festival which is held every year on the weekend before Memorial Day. What more could a romance fan ask for? I read a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

When Gabrielle Langdon takes a writing class, she doesn’t expect the instructor to be a famous hot writer. Caden Marshall is in Angel Falls to start over after his career tanked when his now ex-wife accused him of plagiarism. After a rough first meeting over a disputed parking space, Gabby and Cade find themselves getting closer as the class goes on. Both of them have had serious relationships end badly and they are wary of being hurt again. A unprincipled coworker of Cade’s add a bit of negativity to the relationship but they work through that.
Gabby has tried many different “hobbies” to offset her unsatisfying law career and writing is the latest. Her family tries to be supportive but they assume this is another whim that won’t last. Both Gabby and Cade are looking to fill a hole with writing. Gabby is thinking of her deceased mother and Cade is hoping to get his writing mojo back. Add Cade’s disfunctional relationship with his father to the pressure Cade is under.
When these two finally let their walls down and hook up it’s hot! I loved that they communicated for the most part when things went wonky and worked through the issues. At times they both act like babies but they can’t stay away from each other. I also enjoyed the secondary stories woven through the book and look forward to seeing more about Rafe and Kaitlyn. There is also a tantalizing hint of a family secret to be revealed.

Linda’s Book Obsession Reviews “The Way You Love Me” by Miranda Liasson

Miranda Liasson , Author of “The Way you Love Me” has written a delightful, charming, emotional and heartwarming novel. The Genres for this book are Fiction, Women’s Fiction, Contemporary Fiction, and Romance. The timeline for this story is set in the present. The author describes her characters as each having their own expectations and set of problems to deal with.

Gabby Langdon has just become an attorney, and yet wants more. One of her secret wishes is to become a writer just like her late mother. To make that wish a reality, Gabby enrolls in a writing course at night.

Caden Marshall is a writer, but has a serious writer’s block. He also has to provide for his young daughter Ava. Caden takes a position to teach writing. On the first night of the class, Caden hurries and takes a parking spot that Gabby was about to take. Literally, that is how the two of these characters meet. There are definitely sparks at this moment.

Gabby is a strong -willed and determined young woman. Caden is a stubborn, and responsible man. Is there a chance there can be something more? You will have to read the book to find out.

I appreciate that the author discusses the importance of family, friends, communication, honesty, forgiveness, second chances, love and hope. I would recommend this enjoyable book to readers who enjoy romantic stories. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

Miranda Liasson never disappoints!! Cade is a divorced dad with custody of his daughter who decides to move back to his hometown to get a steady job to support her. He is an author but despite having a contract for another book, he just can't seem to write. Gabby is a lawyer who is taking a class to help her with her passion...writing. The way these 2 meet is quite funny. They are attracted to each other and even though they both realize it, neither thinks they want a relationship. They both have suffered losses in the relationship department so they have much to overcome to get to their HEA. This is the 2nd book in the series but is very easily read as a standalone. I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

The Way You Love Me Book 2 in the Angel Falls Miranda Liasson

5 +++ Stars

Awesome! Awesome! Loved it so much! I fully enjoyed this sweet romance! Captivated my interest throughout!
The story takes place in Angel Falls.

Gabby became a lawyer to please her father. What she really wanted to do is write books. She enrolls herself in a writing class.

Caden is a writing professor. He is an author with one successful book. He is a divorced, single father to a girl, Ava. He takes up the writing class to support his daughter and trying to get out of writers block.

"You bring me so much joy. After so many years of pain."

Another beautiful love story of Miranda Liasson. I had the pleasure of getting to know the work of this writer last year and I became a fan of her soft, humorous and love-filled writing.

In this book, I met the story of Gabby, Sara's younger sister, who was always a cheerful spirit capable of enlightening places and conquering everyone around her, but she always carried the desire to write a book, a wish that was saved while she invested her career as a lawyer to please her father. Now that she has become a partner in the firm where she works, she decided it was time to conquer her old dream.

She just did not count that her creative writing teacher would be the mysterious, demanding and cocky Cade. Cade has lived through some very bad experiences in his career and in his personal life and now he has to start from scratch to give to his daughter Ava a little more comfort and family. He just did not expect that when he applied for a teaching job he would meet a sweet girl who would change his life.

I loved the plot too much and the way Miranda built the relationship between them, she made me twist from the beginning for the couple and fall in love with Ava. I liked to see again the characters from the previous book and have already had a taste from the next one.

The cover was very well chosen and combines perfectly with the book.

The Way You Love Me is such a sweet love story. I loved being back in Angel Falls and seeing what all the charcters from book 1 in this series are up to now. I loved Cade and Gabby together, they were so good for each other! I'm usually a sucker for the single dad trope, and this one wasn't an exception. His daughter was his world, and the way he interacted with her was just so sweet. This series is turning out to be so much fun, and I'm looking forward to more!

I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.

A sweet, slow-burn love story with a small town setting equals my perfect read…..The Way You Love Me by Miranda Liasson is the second book in Angel Falls and follows Sara’s younger sister Gabby after she leaves her fiancé in search of more.

I loved Sara’s story in Then There Was You so I was excited to go back to Angel Falls for Gabby’s story. Gabby is the spunky sister, the wild card so to speak. She has a free spirit and her ex has done a number to her self-esteem. BUT one good thing to come from the failed relationship — Gabby is done settling. She’s pursuing her dreams and nothing will stop her, except maybe her new professor.

Caden Marshall isn’t all that much older than Gabby, but he is her creative writing professor. After a failed marriage and a one-hit wonder book, Cade isn’t looking for a relationship. He’s looking for stability for himself and his young daughter, Ava. I think I fell in love with Cade from the start. He’s a struggling single father who adores his daughter and will do anything to make her smile. He’s bitter though from his divorce and rightfully so. She was a terrible person! Gabby brings Cade out of his shell a little and makes him think there may be more to life than just stability.

Overall I really enjoyed Cade and Gabby’s story. They bring out the best in each other. And little Ava steals the show! She’s precious, and Gabby finds herself just as enamored with her as she is with Cade. If you enjoy a sweet, slow-burn romance, I highly recommend it.

Note: While this book is a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

This was my first book by Miranda Liasson. I'm ready for the next! I really, really liked this book. The main characters got off to a rocky start--over a parking spot. After the incident, the both discover that Caden is Gabby's professor for the writing class she signed up for. That's not awkward at all!
Caden's past marriage left him with absolutely no desire to get involved with anyone ever again. However, Gabby is pretty darn cute! She's attracted to him, but he seems determined to make her life miserable in class.Even if they get past all that, there's still the problem of him being her professor. They have other issues to overcome, too. Will it ever work out?
I loved Liasson's characters. They were strong, but also had their vulnerabilities and quirks. Some of the secondary characters were absolutely delightful Caden's little girl was so precious and the grandmother was a total hoot!
I missed the first in the series, but I'll be going back to pick it up.
I was given a copy of this book from Netgalley. All thoughts are my own.

This was such a charming story filled with wonderful characters. It was cute and fun and it filled me up and left me with a big smile on my face!

Cade and Gabby’s first meeting was priceless! There was a little bit of animosity and challenge happening but it was also so entertaining, it kicked the story off perfectly. I loved them getting to know each other and learning their histories and how they got to where they’re at in their life. Cade is the sweetest and loved him with his daughter, it was incredibly heartwarming. I really liked Gabby, forging her own path and really trying to figure out who she was. Together they were great. I loved their attraction and chemistry and the conflict they were dealing with while their feelings developed. There’s a nice build happening and a great push and pull between. Their attraction is scorching. There's are a few ups and downs and a bit of mild drama but it was so worth it in the end. They made my heart melt!

There were sweet moments, moments of longing, and some emotional ones too. There's a wonderful cast of characters with these awesome little side stories happening to make it feel full, really pulling you in. I was captivated by the charm and genuineness of the wonderful family dynamic that was happening. I love the details I learned about Gabby’s brother Rafe and am excited about his story next.

The Way You Love Me was a heartwarming and incredibly enjoyable read. I loved that it was dual POV so I could see the characters thought process, they had great internal dialogue. It was a light and easy read with a decent pace, sometimes fast in spots but pretty steady. This was a feel-good story that was endearing and delightful that filled up your heart and left you smiling. Another excellent story in the Angel Falls series.

Complimentary copy received for honest review.

I liked the premise of this story. The whole villainized best-selling author turned professor and the aspiring writer, student & lawyer.

I adored how protective and attentive Cade was with his daughter Ava. Him watching YouTube videos to learn how to braid her hair was one of my favorite things. I don't always love children in books because they tend to either overshadow the rest of the story or fade off into the background but the author did an excellent job of including Ava just the right amount.

The story moved slowly at first and then picked up and I couldn't put it down. I really like that there wasn't a lot of drama or back and forth between Cade and Gabby. They handled their baggage and fears in a mature and realistic manner. I do wish that the relationship between Cade and Gabby once they had officially gotten together was explored a little more but since there was so much time spent on the build-up to their relationship I don't feel like it took anything away from the story. Overall this was a sweet, heart-warming story that I would definitely read again.

I do have to admit that, while I loved Gabby and Cade, I found myself quite distracted by the foreshadowing of Rafe and Katilyn's romance. With the addition of the first chapter in their upcoming book at the end of this one, I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am for All I Want for Christmas in September!

What a fun, serious book. It hooked me from the parking lot episode before the class had started. Miranda Liasson’s The Way You Love Me is warm, friendly, just a little bit nosy, like her family and totally entertaining. Sweet without a hint of sappiness. The characters are wonderful, both the main characters and the supporting ones. A favorite, Nonna is a hoot; we all should hope to be as straightforward and unabashed as she is when we are her age.

Angel Falls comes to life with a sense of community, small-town ups and downs and a history that the characters share. However, Gabby, Caden and Ava are the main attraction. Amazing how Gabby and Cade walk that tightrope of awareness and attraction before they fall. It is easy to love this romance of everyday, likable people who make it all work. The best part is that you knew it would have a happy ending. Now for Rafe to get his with some teasing from his sister along the way. He deserves both.

There is also included a bonus novella, Meant to Be by Alison Bliss in the digital copy that I received.
