Amazing addictive. I loved this book as it was really sweet at times and it tugged at my heartstrings and left my heart happy at the very end of the story. Highly recommend

There were things that I loved about this book and there were things that I didn't care for. The characters of Maddie and Jackson and their relationship were fantastic. The chemistry there was fire and jumped off the page. However, the secondary storyline of the other relationship and Maddie's family was really convoluted and served only to muddy the waters. It would be a stronger book to keep the love story and change the backstory around it.

I'm really not a fan of any type of romance triangle and when I discovered that's where the plot was headed I was immediately leery. Then for Madeline to basically hold on to two guys almost until the end was not my thing. 2 stars because I did like the beginning.

I have read some reviews written by other reviews and I really think that some of them were too hard on this author. I do agree that it was a little predictable but besides that this book was a really great read from beginning to end. I loved Jackson and Madeline. I found there love story to be really sweet and in places it really got to me. Although the ending seems to be a little bit fast it was the ending I was hoping for. All in all I thought Rookie in Love was really enjoyable and I look forward to reading more by this author. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I’ve read by Sarah White, and I really liked it. Although the story was predictable, Maddy and Jackson were a believable couple. It was a quick, light read. Just what I needed!

So I started off loving this book.
I was pulled in and the characters seemed strong.
But after reading more I just want to slap Maddy.
I get that her family plays a role in her life but to keep dragging it up and talking about it every 3 pages is annoying.
I do love the storyline and Jackson is a dream book boyfriend.
But the main character and her bff both need backbones. Rrrrrrg
Mandy’s brothers are jerks who only think of money (if they really wanted her happy then they would support her in everything she wanted to do in life)
and a simple chat with her aunt and she figured her whole life out. And then bam their getting married.
overall the plot and characters where pretty solid (other than some spinelessness). I really want to give this book a 4 star but I’m going to have to give it 3. maybe an epilogue to add a little more to the ending would be a great idea.

This is a wonderful book. It is about finding true love and taking a chance. Auntie Gwen gave Maddy good advice!

This book was a cute story but also pretty predictable. Jackson was swoonworthy but the heroine was weak in my opinion. This book was just okay for me.

What’s a girl to do?

Madeline Stone is torn between doing what’s right for her family and the family business and loving a man who has given her the kind of happiness that she has never known before.

Madeline is in a relationship with Greg, a man she doesn’t love, but she stays with him to please her family. Then, she meets Jackson Rider, a college football player who rocks her world. While Greg is out of town, Madeline and Jackson take their relationship to the next level. Nothing will ever be the same for Madeline again. But, Madeline’s family disapproves of the relationship and wants her to break up with Jackson and make things right with Greg. Madeline has a tough choice to make. Follow her heart or live the life her family has planned for her.

I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet and sexy and emotional all rolled into one. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I read this book on Wattpad first and remember I couldn't wait for the next part.
Now, while reading it again I remember why. The story is so addictive! I loved it a lot even though the ending was a bit disappointing.

I had a lot of hope for this novel, but it fell short for me. It’s a new adult, college, sports romance. The meet cute was good, maybe a little fast but still good. While I loved the hero, Jackson, I absolutely hated Maddy. She was super innocent and honestly, had no backbone at all. In the beginning, you’re trying to figure out exactly what kind of situation she is in with her family and Greg, but when it’s actually revealed, it just shows how much of a pushover she was. Her relationship with everyone was so formal and buttoned up; it didn’t sound like a college student at all. It was really hard to get to know any of the characters well except for Maddy. And while technically there wasn’t cheating (on a break), it felt weird, and felt slightly like a love triangle. And in my opinion, Jackson and Maddy’s relationship was way too rushed. I wanted to like this one so much, but ultimately, it just didn’t work for me at all.

I loved this story! It was sweet, made me cry in places and had me feeling what the characters feel! Jackson is so precious and I'm so happy with how things worked out at the end. I need another book about these two - maybe Caleb too ;) I don't even have the words to express how much I loved this! Wow!

Rookie in Love is a quick romance. I could not connect with Maddy and Jackson and maybe that caused me to not like their story. I think maybe a younger reader might enjoy the storyline more and connect with the characters.

Madeline has always played it safe. She is heiress to a hotel chain and doesn’t do anything that could embarrass her family. She studies hard, is practically engaged to someone her family approves. While she loves her boyfriend it is not a fiery, all consuming, passionate love. It is a comfortable and friendly love.

When Madeline’s boyfriend goes out of town for three weeks they decide to take a break until he returns. During that time she starts spending time with the sexy star quarterback, Jackson Rider. He makes Madeleine feel alive for the first time. Over three weeks she starts to fall in love. Will she go against her family and choose Jackson or will she go back to the man they want her to be with?

This was a good read. I do wish the ending was a little different, it felt a little rushed and thrown together. I did enjoy the book and look forward to reading more by Sarah White.

2 stars
I wanted to love this book so much. It started off with such promise.. I loved how they met and hit it off. But then Madelyn annoyed me, like A LOT. She cried over her boyfriend leaving, then made out with Jackson 5 mins later! In fact, she cried... A LOT! Too much for a college kid!!

Honestly, I wasn't a fan of Rookie in love. The classic story of lovers from two different worlds with the pressures of family expectations to deal with. Unfortunately, I found a lot to be desired with both Maddy and Jackson. Maddy was kind of whiney about her situation and I felt like she was always crying. The relationship between Maddy and Jackson was missing that natural growth and silly banter. One minute they're meeting next they're in a serious relationship.
I feel like that lovely middle in a relationship before its serious was missing.

A short read, the story of Madeline and Jackson. Both at college and seeing other people when they first meet. Jackson has three weeks to convince her that she should pick him.

Jackson loves to challenge his woman, “it’s my move, rookie, and I say you’re staying the night. Now get over here and let’s see how good it feels to fall asleep cuddled up against someone.” Jackson is always protecting his woman, “Rookie, he’s just looking out for you and I can respect that, but if he talks to you like that again I’m going to teach him some manners.” I liked this book, I loved Jackson.

Up until the end, it would have been three stars. I need you to know that. That the ending was just ... come on! That's the best you got?

Honestly, I don't expect much from these kinds of romances, but I definitely expected more than this.

The plot is cliche and predictable—and not in a good way.
The writing is repetitive.
The main character is dull and can have none of my sympathy.
There's some random side couple that basically mopes around and cries on the fringes for 85% of the book?
The romance is, frankly, uncomfortable. How it started, how it progressed, how it ended; it felt wildly unrealistic and over the top silly.

I'm just glad it was short and I finished it in a few hours.
