Unfortunately, the first scene told me this book is not for me. I’m not into cheating, even if it is sort of a “grey” area. The mention of other people they are hooking up with, or dating, made this a DNF for me. I won’t be rating it

I really enjoyed this book and found it easy to slip into Maddy's mind. Her thought process was believable and you feel the same angst she is experiencing when weighing her heart against her mind. I'd love to see a sequel with the merging of the Stone and Rider empires!

Whoo, where to start with this book. Madeline is a character a lot of people will relate to when it comes to living up to your families expectations and being with the guy they have pushed her towards. Then we also have Jackson who appears to be the typical joke, until we start to know him.

Over several weeks that Madeline has free from her almost-fiancee, we really get to see her and Jackson get to know each other. We also see Madeline be truly happy with Jackson. Jackson is far more than his jock persona, in fact, he is almost the complete opposite of what we see a lot in new adult book. I really liked Jackson and Madeline as a couple, they truly do work together as a team and want the best for each other.

The sex scenes were really tame in this book thankfully. College was very present throughout this book as well as we have both characters mentioning classwork and football games. While we never see either of those things they aren’t just pushed aside and them being fully together 24/7.

I’d love to read more by this author in the future. I also recently learned that this was a wattpad original.

Rookie in Love was short and cute! The reason for 3 stars is mainly because I disliked how Maddie let her family control her decisions and validated it. Also, I believe that their romance was cute yet rushed. Throughout the book, the heroine stated she was not ready for marriage yet, it seems as if thay was forgotten at the end of the book. However, Jackson the H says it was "love at first sight." I just wish that Maddie was a bit more independent.

Overall, I think young adults may enjoy this quick & cute romance! Jackson was so easy to love! He was so sweet and open to love. He allowed gave Maddie his heart and refused to let her settle. He was truly the perfect boyfriend!

Side Note: I really liked the relationship between Madeline and Greg. He wasn't a jerk and was so understanding. He came off as an amazing friend. I wish we could have seen more of that.

Madelyn annoyed me, she kept 2 guys on the hook til she discovered what she wanted which was supposed to be Jackson. But then when she has him is unsure yex, no I have to do what my family wants, I want Jackson, but I know Greg, making up issues with Jackson to hurt him... huh grow up...I dont know why any of them wanted her.

This is Maddy and Jackson book, Jackson is the star quarterback at their college and Maddy is a sheltered girl trying to break out of her family's hold she has a bunch of overbearing brothers that want her to marry into status and be ready to go into the family business. Jackson has some secrets of his own ! I just don't know what I didn't like about this book?! It was kind of immature, I didn't really feel the characters either. It was really short too! It's definitely a mild read. I'm sure some will enjoy reading this book it just wasn't for me?! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I didn't feel like there was any real chemistry between the two characters besides sexual tension. The relationship seemed sort of rush and unrealistic, I just did not feel any certain connection to story, content nor characters. It was a letdown because I was really looking forward to the story. There's nothing to brag about about this mediocre story.

This is the first time I have read this author. The storyline sounded good and so I read it but it was very different from what I expected it to be. To be honest I found it an okay read. It is a love triangle story and I just did not connect to any of the characters. I though Madelyn was a little juvenile.

Madelyn is 21, almost engaged and been with Greg for years. He works for her dad and with her brothers and as she is about to graduate they will then marry. On teh night of her 21st birthday she runs away to be alone and meets Jackson, a 21 year old football player. Though that is what he does, football is really not a factor in this story.

They have a fun night and after that Greg decides Madelyn needs to figure out if she wants to marry him so they break up for 3 weeks. Meanwhile Jackson comes to her and says I want to get to know you, so they decide to date for the 3 weeks.

The story is told from Madelyn's POV entirely. It is well written but it felt like a new author in that it had no depth and no real passion. It does have sex, just I never really felt that the characters cared that much.
