Always such a thrill and joy to read the latest Coop novel. I love the mixture of NYC history woven in with the thriller aspect, and in this installment, lacing it all with a ME TOO , case. Really enjoyable and fun, and another hit for sure. The end is a bit rushed and cliched, but the book is a terrific read as always, and I look foray to the next one.

Another winner from Linda Fairstein. The twentieth book in the Alexandra Cooper series keeps you reading just one more chapter, one more chapter, one more chapter. The major characters are never used frivolously and are integral parts of the story. In every book in this series, readers learn interesting historical facts about New York and this was no exception. A great read.

This is Linda Fairstein at her best - a heartpounding thriller that will draw you in from the very first page and keep you turning page after page. Alexandra Cooper has returned to work after a break following the death of her boss, and she is immediately thrown into the current MeToo movement when a young woman comes to her office claiming to have been raped by a prosecutor who is now going to be running for District Attorney. Alex has her hands full trying to get to the truth of the situation while also dealing with the injury to her close friend Francie and the wife of a prominent judge claiming threats of abuse. It's all more than most could handle, but Alex is an amazing woman and, with the help of her two long time side kicks, Mike and Mercer once again triumphs.

ADA Alexandra Cooper tackles the “Me,Too” movement in Blood Oath. Newly returned to work after being shot, she also has to prove her commitment to her job as well as threats about running for count prosecutor.

As always, Fairstein incorporates interesting facts about NYC into her novels—this time it’s the Bridge of Sighs that connects the Manhattan courthouse and jail.

Twentieth book in the series. Best read in order.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early copy of this book. Pub date 3-26-19.

DA Alex Cooper returns in the latest installment of the Linda Fairstein series. Having read all in the series, this book was as enjoyable as her many previous novels. It was interesting to me to see how this book would turn out after the "events" that transpired in the last book (no spoilers). Thank you to the publisher for the advanced copy. I will keep reading Linda Fairstein as fast as she can write books!

Love Love Love this author. Blood Oath was a fantastic, fast paced thriller. It kept my attention from page one. I enjoyed the interaction between Alex and everyone she dealt with. I liked the fact that the book had several plots going on at once and that at the end everything came together and connected. I finished this book in four hours and I could not put it down. I recommend this book to anyone that loves a great thriller and to anyone looking for a new author that is GREAT.

I have read every book in this series and I never tire of them. Fairstein has managed to make the novels both topical and exciting. This is no exception. Blood Oath is very topical and thrusts both ME TOO and the recent use of Russian toxins into this totally engaging plot.

Alex Cooper has grown and matured over the series, a great change for series readers who often face stagnant central characters. The underlying romance between Alexandra and Mike has matured as well, which I find realistic and positive.

Alex is back at work and embroiled in a case involving a traumatized young woman, and the fallout that involves a hostile judge and a totally corrupt and immoral attorney. Fairstein manages to knit all these pieces together flawlessly. As always, she manages to involve NYC in the exciting plot. This time, THE ROCKEFELLER INSTITUTE plays a vital part. I will never pass it again without thinking of this novel.

My only criticism is that I have to wait over a year to read more about Alex. As a New Yorker, I should warn Linda Fairstein that when I see her again in a store or restaurant, I am going to applaud. Since we don’t know each other and this is an anonymous review, I hope I don’t frighten her.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this exciting and intriguing novel from one of my favorite series.

Assistant DA Alex Cooper has returned to the Manhattan Sex Crimes Unit during the height of the Me Too movement, so she has plenty of cases to keep her busy. Some hit a little too close to home as a colleague is accused of bad behavior, the return of a woman who was pivotal in the first case Alex tried, and the collapse of another colleague. And while the cases seem unrelated at first, as Alex and NYPD detectives Chapman and Wallace begin to dig, they discover a connection to a prestigious hospital and research institute. Fairstein is the real deal, she writes with authority and authenticity because of her real life role as ADA for the Manhattan prosecutor’s office in the 1970’s
