The third and final book in the City of Light series. Monet is still on her truth seeking mission and working to find food and needed items for her people. In a new city with a new team her story continues to answers that she has been seeking and some that she hasn't. This book series was an average read for me. I did not really connect with the characters or the world building. I am not sure if it is the God theme thrown throughout but I appreciate the chance to review.

Illume is the last book in a series. It's a nice wrap up with a good ending. It's well written and unfolds at a good pace. The characters are likeable and dynamic. Overall a good read. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is the last book in the City of Light trilogy. Monet, Luke and the rest of the group of explorers are sent out to bring back any seeds that they can find in order to help their people survive.
They find seeds - but these seeds have been stolen from another city and so they return them to their owners. They are thanked and accommodated by Aiden and his son, Marco, but Marco is not who he seems to be.
Monet meets her father, as one of the Ghost people, and he helps her on her journey to the Northerners, who have kidnapped and enslaved her friends.
You will enjoy the surprising conclusion to the trilogy.

Monet trust in no one except their creator, the invisible God, which to their new acquaintances was a bit weird, but she didn’t care. So now she tries to enlighten them as best as she can. I like the subtle influence of God in this book, it resonates with my true love and belief in him.
A desperate search for survival, blanketed by treachery and betrayal. They are faced with conflicting reasons for deception, on an eye-opening and perilous journey ahead. With the unease brought on by mistrust and fear, they are placed in a quandary. A delightful enlightening adventurous and entertaining read.
