What a book. As psychological thrillers go, I love some, I get very uncomfortable with some but can't stop reading them right through to the end. This was one of the latter. I felt very very uncomfortable, until things fell into place right at the end.

A page turner, one I had to keep reading despite the story making me very uncomfortable. One which had me screaming at the protagonist (in my head of course) through the book.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a crazy novel. Claire is engaged to her fiance but can't get over her feelings for her ex boyfriend. From the moment she meets Mark, the guy who owns the house she eventually buys with her fiance, the story takes an unexpected turn since he apparently looks a lot like the ex boyfriend she can't get over. It drove me crazy that the decisions she makes going forward are based on feelings she still harbors for an ex boyfriend who clearly did not care for her. The ending has a surprising twist and it's interesting that the author decides to include a plot surrounding the issues of immigration in London.
Interesting plot and a well developed story, I just wish we had a stronger heroine.

"Whatever you think you know...You're wrong" is only the beginning in this twisty new thriller from Sarah Mitchell. While it began rather slowly and took some adjusting to the writing style, it became quite interesting with surprises galore. Maybe the blurb should've read "Whoever you think you know...You're wrong".

Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC to read my first Sarah Mitchell book.

I truly enjoyed this book. Mostly because the premise was quite different than the thrillers and mysteries that flock our shelves today.

Claire is marrying Angus after a fast "romance" and engagement. However, Claire had never lost her love for Daniel.

As Angus and Claire search for a house to live in, Claire meets Mark - the current owner - who is very similar to Daniel. He is an enigma to the reader. Is he an outlaw or perhaps someone "destined" to be with Claire?

Working for the government's Immigration Services in London, Claire has access to a lot of information. Information that a number of people could use to their advantage - particularly in the financial realm.

We find out that Angus is somewhat controlling; yet he seems to do whatever HE wants to do. Mark is sporadic; eventually Claire wonders if it is her or her information that they are after.

Others in Claire's workplace become suspect, as well.

As Claire begins to piece together a puzzle that may mean some unpleasant findings, she tries to tie the "players together in this suspenseful drama.

A brilliant read!

Many Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for a great story.
