I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I love Andrea Beaty's STEM books. I wanted to read this one to review for our school library. These are fun for our kids getting into chapter books. The series has become popular in our school library.

I thought this story was a great addition to the Ada Twist series. It is a cute storyline and allows students to integrate science into their reading.

I have enjoyed all of Andrea Beaty's books and this one is no different. Ada is a highly curious girl who keeps readers on their toes. Love seeing the diversity in the book with Ada's buddies Rosie and Iggy joining her on her adventures.

My students and I love Andrea Beaty’s picture books and they were so excited when I shared the first chapter book in the series with them. I know they will love Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants just as much! I love the interactions between the characters, and it makes for a great read aloud to stop and have students make predictions and ask questions. I personally also love the details in the illustrations in these books! Another hit! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

We have read ALL the books in this series and love them all! Every book is based in one child in the same class as the main characters in the other books. They are all little creative little geniuses. Great for a young wondering mind!

This is such a fun way for kids to learn about science without them even realized they are learning. Great books!

Super cute book and a great motivator for girls. The story was fun and full of information. A nice step up from the simpler picture books.

Oh gosh! We loved this book! My students and I absolutely adore all the books about Ada and her friends and were so excited to read Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants! This was such a fun book to read aloud in my 1st, through 3rd grade classroom! Students were encouraged to ask questions, make predictions, and look for clues. We had to extend our read aloud time and read this book in two days!

I (and my students) highly recommend this book to everyone and will, most likely, be reading it again in the coming school year!

Ada Twist the scientist is at it again, asking why as many times as she can to discover more about the world around. When Rosie Revere's Uncle Ned has a problem, Ada is there to help - and ask a lot of questions. The Questioneers Series is a great addition for kids looking to expand after Beaty's first set of picture books.

Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants tells the second story of Ada Twist a young scientist. One morning she realises that hot coffee has a stronger smell than iced coffee and sets out to find out why...using her brother’s tennis shoes to help her! As it happens, her experiment comes in handy when Uncle Ned floated off in his helium filled pants. It’s up to Ada and her friends Iggy and Rosie to get him down before he floats too far to be found!

This was a great story encouraging curiosity and imagination. I love that the main character is a young female scientist who doesn’t let anything get in her way. The way she deals with her own questions gives children the steps they need to begin to explore their own questions about the world around them. I can’t wait to be able to share this book with the children at school.

I received an advanced copy of this book without the final illustrations though I have no doubt that they will be brilliant and will help the reader to visualise uncle Ned’s perilous journey!

I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I found this a little too forced with the STEM angle to be a good read. Great message but a bit clumsily handled.

Thank you to NetGalley for a free digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants is a chapter book version of the Ada Twist picture books. It is full of science questions, peppered with facts throughout, explanations and great drawings. I love that it is funny from start to finish and the characters are charming. Ada has a great personality and I always appreciate books with science presented in a fun way and especially with girls in science.

This new addition to the Questioneers Chapter Book Series focuses on Ada and teaches kids about gases. There is humor incorporated into this installment as well as some solid science for the chapter book set. The scientific method is demonstrated in concrete ways. Readers are also reminded that not all experiments will be a success and Ada models perseverance and adaptability. Both boys and girls will find this to be worth picking up. If I had been able to view the finished artwork along with the text I might have found it to be worth five stars.

A big thank you to ABRAMs Kids and NetGalley for a digital ARC of this book.

Sadly I didn't get a chance to finish Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants but the bits I did read I loved! Now in a new chapter book adventure, Andrea Beaty has written another gloriously fun and inspirational book that older readers (6+) and their parents will equally enjoy! Packed full of science questions, facts, explanations and drawings, with a mystery at its heart, Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants is another wonderful addition to The Questioneers series. A curious mind, a brave spirit and an intelligent scientist, Ada Twist is an inspiration!

I've read all the picture books (Rosie Revere, Iggy Peck, Ada Twist) so I was excited to see they've branched out into chapter books for older budding scientists! This story was hilarious for beginning to end; Ada is nerdy and charming and relatable, and kids will learn so much science while reading it! I can just see the multidisciplinary tie-ins that teachers will love. And as an annual bird data collector myself, bonus points for the shout-out to the Great Backyard Bird Count!

This is a great book - if I were young again, I would love Ada Twist and her science-minded friends! This book puts a silly twist on scientific concepts in a way that is completely respectful of the reader. Highly recommend!

I love Ada's spirit! This is a great book and will be a wonderful addition to a classroom library. This is a great example for the girls in the class to get into science.

I was given an electronic ARC from ABRAMS Books through NetGalley.
Ada Twist is back in a chapter book for younger readers. Her love of science continues to shine through. She continues her tests on smell and makes further hypotheses based on temperatures. Rosie and Iggy are included as Rosie's Uncle Ned is floating free in the helium filled pants Rosie invented when she was younger. The three combine their knowledge areas and Ada finds a way to rescue him before he floats away and the storm hits.
Readers learn more about Ada and how her mind works. Her family continues to be supportive while setting boundaries. Her friends work with her to solve problems and communicate more clearly.
Simple text allows younger readers to follow the plot. Beaty slips in plenty of science information throughout the book.
Great read aloud or individual read.
