Erin falls for her boss and spends a magical night with him. He calls it a mistake afterwards so when she finds herself preggers, she runs away and doesn't tell him. Years later he interrupts her wedding. It was a bittersweet romance but a lovely one nonetheless.

The art is good in this one but the storyline is disjointed. A bit more background story would have made it a better manga.

Harlequin romance manga comics are like my romance catnip. Gorgeous illustrations. Romantic stories. Just all around beautiful. And quite often, the comics make me want to go back and read the books too. I think for me, the comics serve a purpose of illustrating a beautiful story and bringing it to life with wonderful illustrations. It's also a teaser and taste of the story it often makes me want to take in the original story for more depth and detail. Between the book and the manga comic, they are a winning combination. And yes, I know, my review of the manga comics are often the same but it's mostly the case because they often get the same reaction from me. Thank you for this wonderful medium in delivering romance to a dedicated reader.

Dimitri was a bit of a blockhead but I loved his growth. Erin was true to her feelings and that was refreshing. Tara was an awesome sister and Leo was adorable.

So pretty! This is the kind of unrequited love story between a cold millionaire who's never had a warm feeling and his sweet secretary who's fallen in love despite herself. I liked that the story kind of goes backwards. The pictures are very atractive with beautifully-eyed characters and opulent depictions of international destinations.

Dimitry seems to be a poor choice of a father for the boy Erin had 6 years before. Little by little his lonely nature breaks through his bossy attitude until Erin's courageous and dignified nature proves he's capable of giving her the love she deserves. A bittersweet romance.

OH MY GOSH that cover is just adorable. Though I am curious why the girl is looking behind her with such a worried face, I guess we will find out soon.

Oh dear, oh dear, another hidden child story. A woman who has gotten pregnant, and now the guy finally finds out about his child. This can go two ways. He is understanding, or he is a dick. Which one will our guy be? OK, first impressions aren't well. Objection is one thing (especially when the wedding is fake anyway), but just grabbing her and kissing her? No. Nope. Not romantic. Just creepy.

He: "Why didn't you come to me? I'm much richer than that Brazilian."
She: That would have been a loveless marriage, too!" <- Ladies and gentlemen the fatal burn has been applied. :P

How magical, the one time they had sex she gets pregnant. Gee, I know that contraception isn't always safe, but come on, this was too much of a coincidence and I couldn't help but laugh at it all.

*snorts* She never felt attracted to him until she saw him practically naked. Wow. That is kind of bad. :P
Also this conversation: "Are you really my secretary, Erin? How are you making me so excited? Erin!" I am sorry, maybe this was meant to be romantic, but it just made me laugh.

Dang, the rest of their conversation is just one big NOPE I don't like this guy. Playboy types are not my types. Plus, he is so contradictory. No I want her. Oh yes, I want her. No, I am not interested in my kid, oh yes I am take this money. Urghhh. And now he is just going to whisk her away because all of the sudden he wants to be with her. Oh, and instead of it being romantic... he is also blackmailing her. If she isn't coming he is going to tell his son who he is.

But I did like how these two got closer and became more honest with each other. Yes, I could see that there was love blooming between these two, and it was very nicely done. Eventually I was rooting for these two to get together. To share kisses, to share love.

Oh, dramatic past story for Dimitri. I can imagine his childhood wasn't a happy one. :(

When Erin leaves with Leo, and Dimitri is wondering this: "Did I make a mistake somewhere? Where did I make a mistake?" Um the one where you propose to her? Right after sex? And then told her that you and she don't love each other so it would be OK, no breaking hearts or whatever. *sighs* Dude, really...

Urgh, I had magical things happening. Suddenly something is found and oh hey, turns out certain things weren't as bad.. *sighs* And of course that spurs a dramatic speech and yet another proposal, because this is Harlequin and we just have a few pages left and so need to end this one in a happy ending.

As you can read, this was hit and miss, so a 3 star is what I will give. The art was very pretty and I quite loved it.

This was a very intense story about a two people who have a second chance at a love that is not only built on the "collateral consequences" of a one night stand. Our heroine was Russian billionaire Makarov's secretary and was forced to endure his rakish ways despite her crush. One night the two have sex, but the morning after he regrets it and cruelly dismisses her. When she finds herself pregnant despite the precautions they had taken, she tries to inform him but finds him with yet another naked woman in his bed. She immediately resigns and decides to raise the child as a single mother.

Unbeknownst to her, her sudden resignation marks the starting point of Makarov's change. His development arc is Amazing and he is determined to prove he is a worthy father for the child he did not know he had. Will it be enough?

A must read title.

Book title : Claimed for Makarov Baby: a Harlequin Manga

Author : Sharon Kendrick; Illustrator : Kazuko Fujita

Release Date : 1 February 2019

Dimitri Makarov, a handsome Russian millionaire was standing in the middle of Erin’s wedding and objected the wedding. His reason was simple: Erin held the fatal and biggest secret which was important in Dimitri’s life. Yes, indeed! Erin was prego with Dimi’s wife when they broke up. She could not accept Dimitri’s lustful lifestyle, so she was runaway. As Dimi came back to his life, he demanded nothing but Erin and his son back!

I am not going to spoil the rest of the story here. It is a surprise that one should read and find out. What I can say is that the attraction between our hero and heroine was so strong. Erin who was hurt by Dimitri tried hard to resist from Dim’s charms. Meanwhile, Dimitri tried to show Erin that he became a new person: a better one. I really love the conflict portrayed in the manga-style. It is just a perfect reading to sweeten one’s life.

Six years ago Erin stopped working for the playboy Dimitri and Dimitri let her go. Their one night stand had perplexed him and he wasn't ready to stop being a playboy, but what he didn't know was that Erin was pregant.

Now six years later Dmitri finds out that he is a father but he knows he can't just storm back into Erin's life, although that is exactly what he does. Erin isn't pleased to find Dmitri back in her life. She isnt sure he could be a good father although he definitely wants to support her. She doesn't believe he has left his playboy ways behind him.

Dmitri decides to show Erin just how much he has changed because it isn't just about Erin, it is also about his son, his love for Erin and his need to come to terms with his past.

This is a lovely story about a man trying to make amends and create a hopeful future with the woman he truly loves. Great artwork and a lovely romantic story.
