Review: In A Man for the Night we are introduced to Josie who is a virgin, when she is offering the chance to attend her high school reunion, she is worried about the popular girl Amber who made her life hell bullying her and doesn’t want to attend the reunion alone after breaking up with her boyfriend. Her best friend Kay suggests hiring a male escort for the night just to attend the party with her and Josie agrees.
We are also introduced to Callum whose brother is trying to become a movie star but to make money on the side he works as an escort under a false name. However, with a big audition coming up he can’t attend Josie’s reunion, so he asks his brother to go in his place and reluctantly he agrees. When Callum meets Josie for the first time, there is an instant attraction between them, and Callum actually reveals his true identity at the reunion to stop Amber from humiliating Josie.
Following the reunion Callum ends up staying at Josie’s place for the night after her place was broken into and her friend Kay isn’t there to stay with her. Josie can no longer control her desire for Callum and the pair end up developing a purely physical relationship, but both begin to fall for the other. When Josie realises that she is falling in love with Callum she breaks off their arrangement, but neither can really move on and in the ending scene the pair finally admit their feelings for one another and begin their relationship. A Man for the night was an interesting read and I really enjoyed it and it has to be one of my favourite entries from Harlequin Manga by far.

Harlequin romance manga comics are like my romance catnip. Gorgeous illustrations. Romantic stories. Just all around beautiful. And quite often, the comics make me want to go back and read the books too. I think for me, the comics serve a purpose of illustrating a beautiful story and bringing it to life with wonderful illustrations. It's also a teaser and taste of the story it often makes me want to take in the original story for more depth and detail. Between the book and the manga comic, they are a winning combination. And yes, I know, my review of the manga comics are often the same but it's mostly the case because they often get the same reaction from me. Thank you for this wonderful medium in delivering romance to a dedicated reader.

Josie and Callum were stinking adorable together. What started out as a job led to so much more. I loved that Josie was a virgin yet still wanted to explore her sexuality with Callum. Great read.

I don't know why I found this so funny but it was. I really liked the concept and found it really comical. I liked the classic Manga style and the story was fun to read!

We are getting closer to the end of my Harlequin Manga party. On the one hand I am sad, but on the other hand, dang 19 of these were maybe a bit too much. :P

I wasn't sure how I felt about the cover, the girl is clearly uncomfortable and the guy just vibes out danger. The trope in this one isn't that new, a girl hiring or asking a guy to act as her husband/boyfriend, until that moment they get truly together and boom sparks.

Soooooo, right from the bat we have some kinky cosplay sex. Yes, that sounds as wrong as it was. But then again, I could also kind of understand the appeal. Yes, I am terrible girl, lock me up. *grins*

Then it is back to before all that, and I was kind of agreeing with our girl here. I wouldn't want to go to a class reunion EVER. No, thank you. School was terrible. Not because of the things I learned in classes, but the students. I guess our MC has kind of that problem, only not with many of her classmates, but just one. Who indeed looks like your popular girl with a whole bunch of attitude.

Um, I understand that a triosome is a bit too much, but to dump your boyfriend because of that? Eh. That seems to go very very far.

Haha, yes, that is an excellent idea, hire an escort. What could possibly go wrong?

Ohhhh, our girl is actually very much into sex. Oh my. It is quite surprising to me that she is a virgin then. I would think she would have tons of experience, but apparently it is all by reading and watching things. Oh girl. Oh girl. I just adored her fantasies throughout the manga, at times they made me quite laugh as she was in the midst of something and boom fantasy in her mind. She gets easily distracted by them.

I loved how Callum dissed up all the things he does in life and then also managed to make a cute and lovely comment. Go go Callum! And go away Amber. My Lord, what a snake that woman is.

It seems that both Callum and Josie want to have sex very very badly. I don't think it is too long for them to have hot sex, especially given the first part of the manga with Callum dressed as a cop and Josie being pressed against the wall. And I was right. There we go. I guess all the reading she did has made her an expert given how many times they had sex. *grins* She even has a booklet, oh my goodness, lord, lady. Wow. She sure is prepared. And their first, or should I say second sex thingie, is apparently a public. Hot dang. This manga has more sex than any of my other Harlequin Manga. Phew, is it hot here or is it me? *fans herself*
Ah look, the invisible penis! It is here! It has appeared? Or well, a bit. :P

Sorry, but what? I get that you are very much sexually frustrated, but to touch a guy who is sleeping? Um, nope. Nope. NOPE. Thankfully, it only happens once.

Nooooooo, why do you have to say goodbye. I know the week is over, but come on. COME ON, you two got a lot more going on than just lust and sex. I can see the spark! And I know both of you really like each other. Then again, we are nearing the end of the manga so I know that it will all be fine, but I am still frustrated that this had to be added. But I guess it made everything even better. Yes, I am a confusing person. I am confused myself on how I feel about it. But the ending was very happy and I love it. Though I do wonder why she has to give up on her fantasies now? I am sure Callum is more than eager to do some more fantasies with her, he seemed very eager to have her dress up and do all sorts of kinky stuff.

The art was pretty great, the sex was done very sexy, the invisible penis was a bit weird.

I also liked the afterword, though apparently the original novel is WAY steamier and even had S&M, bondage, and videotaping. Oh my.

All in all, a sweet and steamy story that I would recommend.

It was a cute story, and easy to read once I got the hang of it. The artwork was good and not too explicit. Fun read for a snowy day.

The storyline of this romance was very funny, and steamy. Josie has just broken up with her boyfriend after catching him make out with another guy... while she is still a virgin who dreams of torrid sex over her romance reads. Fearing she will be laughed at at a school reunion party, she takes her friend's advice and hires an escort, but fate has other plans... Callum is no professional escort, he's simply stepped in for his brother who he could go to a casting. The attraction Callum feels for Josie is real and there's more to their night together, but when he reveals that she's... disappointed! If he's no escort sne won't be able to hire him for more torrid nights and tick off all items on ner bucket list! So Callum agrees to help her make her wishes come true: sex in a public place, sex with a cop, etc. But if it's just about sex, why does Callum feel so uncomfortable when Josie breaks up their arrangement before they write off the last item on the list?... You'll read this manga with a smile on your face!

One should read this book in order to answer those questions. The readers will not regret buying this book, you know! The storyline is a little bit cliché but trust me! It is great! What I love the most is the illustration! The steamy scenes between Josie and Callum are illustrated in the most sensual way as the expressions portrayed there seem so real.

"A MAN FOR THE NIGHT" is about Josie, a sex addict but still a virgin. An invitation comes up for a High school reunion and Josie doesn't want to go alone and be the laughing stock of the party. Josie hires an escort an the advice of her friend. Callum is back to his home on a vacation of 10 days, but agrees to take his brother's place as an escort . Everyone is amazed by Josie's supposed boyfriend at the party. Tension builds up between Callum and Josie. One thing leads to another and they end up in Josie's bed with NO STRINGS ATTACHED! What will happen when the 10 days are over? Will they stop at physical attachment or an emotional attachment will build up as well?
This was my second Harlequin manga, but certainly won't be the last. I loved the book. Josie's personality was so admirable. She accepted her sexuality and even being shy told Callum about her fantasies. It was an enjoyable manga.

I don't read many m/f romance stories, but I have been enjoying manga romances from Harlequin. I was surprised to discover that Harlequin have an imprint called Harlequin Blaze and this manga romance is based on a story from the Blaze series.

Josie lives a very quiet life . She doesn't have a boyfriend and so when she is invited to a school reunion she starts panicking. Josie panics because the person who is hosting the school reunion is an old high school enemy who still loves to embarrass Josie in any way she can. At the suggestion of Josie's friend she decides to hire an escort for the night. The escort will be her pretend boyfriend so that she won't stand out at the school reunion as being a loner or a loser.

Callum is quite annoyed to find out that his younger brother has been acting as an escort for women. Callum is even more annoyed when he finds out that he needs to stand in for his brother because there is an important party that his brother needs to attend which clashes with his escort job. So Callum ends up escorting Josie to the party where they thwart the spiteful plans of Josie's high school nemesis.

When the evening comes to an end one thing leads to another and Josie and Callum find themselves in bed together. Callum then finds out that quiet unassuming Josie has a number of fantasies even though she has never had sex before and the two of them come to an arrangement and agree to explore these sex fantasies with no strings attached.

But the no strings rule never works especially in a Harlequin romance, and Callum and Josie find them selves getting tangled up in each other both physically and emotionally, but will this remain a temporary arrangement or can it flourish and become something deeper?

I thought this was a great romantic comic, obviously it has a bit more erotica than most manga romances but everything is really tastefully done. The artwork is really good and this story is actually very entertaining. The best part for me was Josie and Callum's team work to frustrate the attacks of the high school enemy.

It is great to see Josie and Callum's attraction deepen into love and the trust they eventually place in each other and in true Harlequinn style they end up finding something deeper together. If you enjoy manga romance then this is well worth reading.
