I absolutely love everything that Harlequin Manga has put out recently especially since most of these mangas are retelling old romance stories that people my age wouldn't even consider reading but the artwork is divine and the stories are really sweet.

I enjoyed the unusual plot here. Very interesting and I ended up slowing down my reading instead of devouring it like I used to. The chemistry is all sparkling and I can't wait to read more from the author. I also love the illustrations. Definitely a good, solid reading to spent the weekend with.

Once again, I want to say what a delight it is to lose myself in the beautiful illustrations of these romance manga comics. I love how the illustrations bring the characters to life and tells me a story. And I love that sometimes these stories leave me wanting more and I looking for the original book to read. That has happened quite a few times to me.

Beautiful romance and makes me want to read the full novel. Sanchia is a broken girl after her ex-husband betrayed her. Alex, the brother of Luke, becomes intwined with her and they begin a taxing relationship. I loved the hardships and drama they went through. The ending was nice. Definitely going to check out the novel.

I received this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review!

Just two more to go after this manga and then I am done again with a batch of Harlequin Manga. Did I learn from two batches of tons of Harlequin Manga?? Mm, yes and no. On the one hand it is a lot of work to review all of these, and the stories are hit and miss, but on the other hand I do like reading them and when you find a story you love it is a fabulous.

In this one we have amnesia, a guy saying he is a lover (but is he really), and I was very curious to see if our girl who remember her lover, if he is her lover. What happened to her that she lost her memory?

As with all my Harlequin manga, I write my review as I read. I may edit things here and there, but what you read is my feelings as I read.

Um, this story is weird, I am just at 16 pages and what the hell? So they had sex once? She got sick and ran away. You don't even know her name. Now some time passed (apparently 2 years though it felt more like a few months given how he reacted) and he is all pissed when he meets up with her again. Um, dude. Really? Ever heard of a one-night stand. That is what happened. Unless there is more and the author didn't give more details, or the mangaka decided to just skip some details.
I also didn't get why he wanted her to be removed from being a juror... Also that conversation. "Your actions could be seen as illegal.. but.. I'm not reporting you." Dude, I hope you are bullshitting because I am sorry a one-night stand is not illegal. :|

This story is creeping me out, and I still need to read 100 pages. This dude is disturbingly creepy and I feel so uncomfortable with it. I will give it a few more pages. I mean really, she just steps into the car with a dude she has no memory, or claims to have no memory, of. He is clearly a creepy dude, and sorry the vibes are just too wrong for me. :|

The hell? She just kissed him after seeing some photograph that apparently triggered something?

Oh yes, sure, take her to the Bermudas and pay all the costs involved including for a psychologist. This just screams run and danger to me. :|

"Relax. I'm not going to attack you. At least for now." And he fucking winks when he says that. Ewww. NOPE. NOPE.

Come on, these two keep kissing and running and kissing and having awkward NOPE vibes. Oh yes, and have sex. Because why the fuck not. Man, this story is messed up in so many ways.

*snorts* Of course, there is the "enemy" and of course she takes it for truth. Not once questioning it, oh no. Harlequin classic right there. OH, a strange woman/man tells me x and y, IT MUST BE THE TRUTH. Dum dum dum.... Oh, and magically, very magically she SUDDENLY remembers EVERYTHING. Yuppppppp, do we believe this? No. Not anymore. I have no clue why I am still reading this and the story at times jumps around, for a moment there I thought we were still in the now (especially given how mister grumpy reacts) and then I scrolled back and Oh yes, we were in the past again. Good. Good. Not Good. And again it switches to the now? I am guessing at least given the conversation but frankly I am so so lost.

And when she finally has the balls to confront him and tell him a piece of her mind, of course someone calls her to let her know how Alex actually feels/felt. Oh good grief. Who wrote this piece of *insert some not so nice words*.

That ending was just so much NO. Was I supposed to be happy that Sanchia didn't have the balls to say no? That she ended up with the man who is definitely very creepy and controlling?

This story was not good. Sorry, time jumped around like some frog on drugs, the characters were unlikeable (especially Alex), the story was just so confusing, and I still have no idea if I really should believe the amnesia story as it was all magically resolved in the blink of an eye. The art was also not entirely my favourite. It was a bit too stiff and it felt more fit for a manga about crime or shounen than shoujo-ish.

The title got my attention and the story really kept it until the end.

B&W pics was a bit disappointing at first, but I grew used to it. Above all, this has drama and mystery.

An imposing man seems to get besotted with an enigmatic woman who then disappears on him after a night of passion (which we don't see, but later on there are some sensual images). Suddently, they cross paths again and she has amnesia. The secrets keep piling up until all the dirty and terrible truths that link them resurface and threaten to break the love she's developed for him.
I enjoyed the pull and push between the characters who are drawn to each other but don't seem to acknowledge their mutual feelings.

I liked it :-) Some of the drawings are quite striking and the atmosphere is intense until the very romantic, bittersweet ending. Though it was confusing to follow the panels in their supposed order as I kept going back and forth between sides.

This was quite and interesting Manga and it was full of suspense. Sachia lost her memories and the one man that says he can help her, is her husband, Alex, she didn't know she had, It was all very confusing but I went back and read it over a few times and it was a good plot.

NO NO NO! This manga had not worked on so many grounds - I had A LOT of problems with keeping up with a timeline and the positions characters were in - time jumped all of sudden with no info about it. Also, characters had not played well - both MC were not developed enough so I had not developed any feelings for any of them - they were flat IMO. I wanted to love it or at least like it, but nothing like that happened, unfortunately...

I felt the Manga did not do justice to the book. The flow of the story was not smoot and very disconnected, like information was missing. I could not tell that the main characters were meeting again after two years, which is essential to mention so the story felt very confusion in terms of timeline.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Harlequin/SB Creative as the publisher in exchange for an honest review

Book title : Ruthless Reunion: a Harlequin Manga

Author : Elizabeth Power;  Illustrator : Megumu Minami

Release Date : 22 December 2016

Sachia was approach by a stranger and they spent a night together. The man turned out to be Alex Saber, a lawyer who used to be her husband. Sanchia sadly could not remember him as she lost her memories after an accident. The conflicts later started when Alex wanted to help Sachia to get her memories back.

In the beginning, it is quite hard for me to engage myself in the book. The story line seems like jumping around. It is understandable because the writer and illustrator will take the readers to do a little bit of flashback. Yet it is still a good book to read. A manga-style sweet romance that one should read to cheer her life.

The plot itself is interesting. Sanchia has lost her memories and a man she feels strongly attracted to claims he wants to help her, but could he have an ulterior motive? The amnesia trope makes it probably impossible to avoid going back and forward in a mix of flashbacks, but add that to the confusing position of the captions (the cloud with the hero's lines is more often than not next to the heroine and the other way round) and the result is a product that had an interesting potential but would need some fixing to make it a more enjoyable reading experience. A good romance nonetheless.

An interesting manga romance with lovely drawings, plenty of drama and some surprising twists and turns.

I think the dramatic aspects of the story were enhanced by the drawings and this made it all the more enjoyable. Of course there are the usual misunderstandings that seem to abound in these romance stories but it is always good to see how the misunderstandings are resolved and they make for nice happy endings.

Overall I enjoyed this because it had some good dramatic moments which were beautifully drawn.
