I had very high expectations for this book, but it just didn't reach them. I wish there would have been more color added to the characters. The descriptions also fell a little flat. I think if there was more showing and less telling, this could have been better.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with an advance copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book, the story was enjoyable but I felt like their were some plot holes that left then book a little unsatisfying. I really enjoyed the main character, Quinn, but I pictured her older than a sophomore in high school. I felt like her arc was really interesting to watch but a lot of events seemed to take place outside of the actual narrative. I know it sounds like I'm being really hard on the book but it's really my only issue with the novel, there was a lot of the plot that seemed to speed by or was glossed over until the final quarter of the book when the plot pace finally seems to fit.

I really enjoyed this book and all the trials that she went through. I enjoyed the romance in this book too. I can't believe that i waited so long to read this book. Great book .

I dislike reading a book with an obvious plot. When we can predict exactly where the story is going it's difficult to stay engaged, even if the characters are compelling. And the characters are pretty standard in this book. They don't stand out from the rest of the world of teen fiction, with fairly simple personalities and simple relationships. The arc is predictable and stops short in the end.

This book was pretty good. It didn't blow my mind but I really enjoyed the read and look forward to Nicole William's work in the future.

Nothing about this wowed me. I chose to read Girl Upside Down because it was said to be for fans of Sarah Dessen and Jenny Han but it didn't feel on par with either of their works at all. The story itself is heart wrenching but the execution of writing was lackluster. It isn't by far the worst thing I've ever read, but it is nowhere near the best. In places the writing felt rushed, in others I found myself skipping whole paragraphs to just get on with the story. I was surprised to read the about the author and find out this wasn't a first novel, because it definitely felt like one.
