Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to review Smooth Moves.
I wasn't sure how I felt about the book. At the end I did finish reading it and I thought the book wasn't for me.

Cash is at it again and he finally has to come to terms with the fact that he is too attracted Jordan to resist any longer. This series is an interesting one and so well written that I find I could drive over to the west coast and actually meet these people without having to look very hard. Marie Harte has a skill with making her characters both believably down-to-earth and sexily amazing to get to know in order to make the reader come back again and again. This series revolves around a group of veterans that have come together in a business and formed friendships as well, despite the varied and crazy personalities and the shenanigans they get up to is beyond hilarious at times. Cash has gotten himself into trouble more than once, his insecurities and fears from youth making him unable to toe the line even in the military when he faced injustice. Now he is co-owner of a business and he is faced with new challenges every day, not the least of which is the temptation of his employee Jordan. Jordan is trying hard to make it in this new civilian world after the disillusionment she faced when she got out of the military. She’s also trying to deal with her annoying little brother and the family that she has never felt she fit into, so she has no time to deal with the sexy and tempting Cash. When they start working together on personal projects it becomes harder and harder to resist that heat, and soon there is just no way they can keep their hands off one another. But secrets are never able to be kept forever and those secrets could potentially pull them apart before they ever have a chance to be together unless they can admit their attraction might be more than just an affair. I loved Cash, he was just so human and sweet, with all he trauma in his past tearing him up inside even as he tried to show his strength and intensity to those around him. Once he finally allowed himself to shows some vulnerability to Jordan, he found that he was able to overcome the fears of a lifetime with her help and faith in him. I loved getting to know him and seeing him find himself fully and come to terms with his past and forge a future with the woman he loved. Jordan has her own issues with her past and they have certainly shaped her in ways that make embracing a relationship with a man like Cash iffy, not to mention her own crappy family problems to handle. She was an interesting woman for sure, with her determination to keep her brother on the straight and narrow, her need to help Cash through his problems and her willingness to do whatever it takes to make sure that she has a chance with the man she loves. Once they both decided that there was no denying their pull, their passion was enough to burn those around them and I loved seeing them find their way through the initial heat to the emotional connection that was no much more long-lasting and important. I am dying to find out what comes next for this family and their friends as well, because Marie Harte has never let me down and I don’t see it happening with this amazing series either.

Cash had moved on from his life in the Marines and starting a moving company with his brother gave them the future they needed. Working with Jordan testing him at every turn could possibly turn his world around since she provided the balance from a past he never fully understood. They both provide the perfect balance to one another and support when the other needed it the most. Great addition to the series!

I have read the first book in this series. This was a good addition to this series. A good modern romance. I like the idea behind the moving company. I like the secondary characters that make up the rest of the moving crew. I'd continue reading this series in the future.

I have to start by saying that Smooth Moves which is Cash & Jordan’s story is so far my favourite of the series so far!!
I loved Reid and Naomi’s book - which is the first in the series - but much preferred that this second book focused on the main couple so much more, though we discover more about the other veterans that work for the guys.

Cash comes across as a big joker who doesn’t let things bother him and has few cares..... yeah, well that’s all a front. This guy is deeper than the ocean, he’s a sweetheart, caring, loyal and hard working but due to his rough upbringing, his belief in his own self worth and his place with Reid And the ability for others to care about him leave a lot to be desired.
Reading about Cash and Reid’s early life was sad but neither of them have let that stop them moving on and trying to make something of themselves - though Cash has had a harder time letting go of some hurts which is where a lot of his anger and issues stem from.

Jordan is no nonsense, ex-Army, hard working. She’s taking care. Of her younger brother even though her parents are around and this lets you see another side to her. I liked that she wasn’t prepared to take it easy on Cash, she was determined to set him right - whether that was about his attitude, how he saw himself or when he messed up.

Cash and Jordan have a fabulous connection. They hit it off from the start but as he’s kinda one of her bosses, Jordan has reservations about starting something with him. Cash is having none of it and when he makes this clear, Jordan totally gets on board.
This pair are perfect for one another. They are both funny, snarky, tough when they have to be and prepared to do what they have to when it comes to family and friends.

I am a huge fan of Marie Harte and her books are an auto-buy for me - no need to read the blurb before I pre-order!! Veteran Movers is a great series and I’m looking forward to more - especially discovering what’s going on with Smith!!

A definite 5* read for me.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! The first book in Marie Harte’s Movin’ On series was a bit disjointed, but Smooth Moves is everything I’ve come to expect from this author. I loved the sexy banter, the fact that both the hero and heroine weren’t game players, the intensity of their attraction, and the bit of conflict that kept this story interesting without overshadowing the romance.

Cash was the perfect type of hero, he is rough and gruff on the outside, has a tendency to get caught up in the middle of fight protecting the underdog, but underneath he has a heart of gold. He has a hard time believing in his self worth stemming from his childhood and as things he never understood were slowly revealed during this book, my heart broke for him. I was just so happy Jordan was there to help him pick up the pieces.

I love heroines like Jordan, tough, smart, and more than capable of taking care of herself and those she loves and while she also has some baggage than makes her vulnerable, she’s not afraid to kick a$$ and take names especially with the team of Vets she works with.

When Jordan needs help with her teenage brother she turns to Cash and he asks her for help cleaning out his deceased mother’s house they end up spending time together that easily turns into more. I loved the easiness between them and the fact that they didn’t hold back from one another. They were intuitive about one another always seeming to know how to help one another when the need arose. I liked that Cash understood and appreciate that Jordan could take care of herself, but would be there for backup if she needed him.

Great character development, a strong plot, and a mostly drama free romance made Smooth Moves a completely engaging story that was hard to put down.

This was a fun, enjoyable read, and I liked the slow burn enemies to lovers thing they had going on of opposites attracting.

Smooth Moves is told in multiple perspectives of Jordon, Cash and Jordon's brother Rafie. Jordon and Cash work together at the Veteran moving business and they developed a friendship that has allowed Jordon to now asking Cash for help with her troubled brother.

Overall I found myself coming back to this book to see how it would end. I liked the friendships in the book and the sibling relationship the most that we got to see.
I found Jordon's brother Rafie's storyline really interesting and I wanted to know if he would be okay. I liked the sibling relationship, Jordon and Rafie had and how much she cared about him and wanted to make sure he was going to be okay in the long run. Her getting Cash involved was a really good idea and ultimately ended up being the saving grace for Rafie in the end because it showed him that he could get better. As for Jordon and Cash's storylines, I found them a little lackluster somehow. I liked both of them and I found their joking relationship funny and nice to see. Them as a couple though at times seemed a bit much to me. I know it was the start of a relationship so of course, it's going to be hot and heavy but some big decisions were being made very fast and I can't help but be worried about the potential consequences they could have in the long run.
Even though this was the second book of the series I didn't find myself getting confused for not having read the first book. I'm guessing they are all companion novels and just build off of one another.

I really tried to finish this book so I could give it an accurate review however I did not find it capturing enough to keep me entertained to finish.

A follow up to the first book in the series, this story is about Cash— the happy go lucky bother and partner of the moving company Vets on the go. Jordan joined the company and she and Cash have rubbed each other the wrong way since—until the two start to see each other in a new light. Another great book by one of my favorite authors. A quick and easy read that I highly recommended.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this book. Cash and Jordan make a wonderful couple, and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between them. A great second book in a fun trilogy.

I was a little unsure about this book. I loved the characters, their chemistry and the sarcasm but I didnt like the way everyone seemed to call out Cash for not being very bright I didnt feel that was needed to make the story at all.

This was cute, fluffy and a quick read. while I did enjoy it I wasn't really connected to the characters or the plot line. I would recommend this for a quick and easy read.

Cash is definitely rough around the edges but Jordan is more than up to the challenge of getting him to see that he is worthy of love. The twists and turns in this book follow right along with the first book in the series, but you could easily read this one if you haven’t read the first one. I can’t wait for the next one to figure out how some of the mystery pieces are solved!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
The Whole Package (Veteran Movers #1)

This is Jordan and Cash’s story. Jordan is trying to adjust to civilian life and help her teenage brother. She knows she has a lot on her plate, but she also knows she also needs help. Jordan has no problem helping. After all he wants her more than he should. Just when friendship might turn into something more secrets are revealed. Will they fight for each other or let the other go?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

The second book in this moving series and it has Cash the brother wanting to be with Jordan but she is dealing with her own set of problems. Mainly her younger brother who is living with her and has started to hang out with the wrong crowd. When she finds out he stopped going to summer school because of a teacher is now really upset. Cash is drawn to her and wants to help and tries by talking to her brother. Want she wants to happen is for Cash to also open up to her about what is going on with him outside of work. When he doesn’t she decides to go out with the rest of the crew one night without Cash. Though she does not have a good time and misses being with him she lets him think she had a great time and plays it up to make him jealous. This works and he begins to open up about what is going on with and his brother and what happened in his childhood. This only makes her want to be with him more but Cash is still afraid. Jordan though is exactly what Cash needs and she is willing to poke the bear. Using her military police training she learned from the Army she will continue to poke the bear because she knows she will find her teddy bear and that is what she wants to be there for him as he is there for everyone. The difference is she is not leaving. A very good story and Jordan is an excellent character as is all of the other characters in this book. A very good read.

Aww I just loved this book, enjoyed it very much. I haven't read the first book but was still able to follow along well. I plan on going back and reading the first book though.

Cash is kind of obnoxious but also a character that you just love. I mean yes he can be hard on himself and others. But there are reasons as to why he is the way that he is. Which there for made me love his character.
And how he was with Jordan that was even better.
Jordan. She is a strong female but has her issues as well. But once you see why and how she became as she is. You like her a little bit more.

Plus you could tell that maybe after trying to take care of her brother and trying to just live life normal is not something she knows how to do well.
So that is a learning thing for her. And how she acts around Cash is like wow.

Cash and Jordan are both so bold and I liked that as well. I like it sometimes when characters get to the point of their feelings. Also I enjoyed how they left it for a 3rd book. Pick this book up.

This is the first book I've read from this author. It was a pretty good book. I liked the story and characters but sometimes it kind of felt a little repetitive in points. I did enjoy it. I really liked that both characters were a vet and a marine. Good book.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story was written in third person omniscient point of view where characters are described indirectly. The story was written as a descriptive and the main conflict is internal as characters mainly battle themselves. Major themes shown throughout include love, war, survival and prejudice.

Cash Griffith is a Marine Vetran who works with his brother and fellow veterans in a moving company created for them. He is closed off due to his dark childhood, but is discipline expect when it comes to his emotions. Jordan Flemming is an Army Vetran who has had a difficult family life, including a rebellious teenage brother, death of his biological father, and perfect sister. She has taken in Rafi, her brother but needs help reaching him. Cash and Jordan are working together on clearing out a house for Judy Miller alongside their co-workers. Both are attempting to settle into civilian life. Jordan has taken on her rebellious brother Rafi, who is forced to take summer school Math. She needs help reaching him as he seems to be hanging out with the wrong crowd and not attending his classes, so she turns to Cash asking for his help in reaching him. Cash in turns asks for her helper clearing out his deceased mother’s house, whom he had a difficult relationship with. During this time they both learn about family secrets, problems in the other’s life, and maybe can develop a deeper connection.

The ideas are unique and interesting as the flow is organized and logical. The voice is individualized as the sentence structure and word choice helps to enhance the story. Yes, I would recommend it. It’s a good read for those who enjoy stories of veterans adjusting to civilian life, families sticking together, and veterans sticking together. Not the best read for those against family secrets, abuse of children, teachers verbally abusing students, and racial slurs.
