Smooth Moves is the second book in the Movin' On series by Marie Harte. It is not necessary to have read the previous book to enjoy this book, but I highly recommend it, and not just because Harte is currently one of my favorite contemporary romance authors. This book is currently scheduled for release on May 28 2019.

Former Marine Cash Griffith is a brawny beacon for trouble, always finishing a fight that someone else starts. Working at his family's moving company, he does his best to keep a low profile, but he can't help but tangle with the newest employee, Jordan Fleming. When Jordan joins Vets on the Go! she has her hands full with her new job and her rebellious teenage brother, not to mention going toe to toe with the obnoxious, arrogant, incredibly hot Marine at work. Soon their battles turn to camaraderie, and one kiss leads to a connection neither of them expected. But when dark secrets come to light, will their bond break or strengthen into a happily-ever-after they desperately desire?

Smooth Moves is an example of great characters writing and development. I thought Cash and Jordan (and her brother Rafi) all have issues and grow as they face their issues through out the book. None of them hide behind their troubles, although they do sometimes try to hide that it exists from each other. I found the honesty in which some serious issues are dealt with to be refreshing and heartening. I found the conversations between characters and the interactions to be realistic and highly entertaining. I seriously had a goofy grin on my face for the majority of the read, particularly during some of the pranks and conversations between Jordan and Cash. I like that Rafi's issues are talked about and some of the stigma that some might feel in his place, and how easy it is for generally good kids to make bad choices, is handled with such heart. I wish every kid in his position had a Jordan backing him up. I simply love Harte's voice and character development in this book (and in all of hers that I have read thus far). I highly recommend adding her to the must read for anyone that likes realistic, contemporary romance.
Smooth Moves is another fantastic read by Harte with equal parts humor, heat, and heat. I found myself ginning like a fool through a good portion of the read and cannot wait for more!

First off this is book 2 in the Veteran Movers series and you really don't need to read the first book to follow this one. I had not read the first one and I didn't feel confused.

WOW!! This book is just fantastic!

I love the story. It was engaging and I actually read this one fairly quickly because I just didn't want to put it down. It has great characters.

I can't wait to read more in this series and I know I will be reading this one again in the future.

I highly recommend.

I am giving this 5 out of 5.

Smooth Moves is the second book in the Veteran Movers series and while it can be read standalone I think you will enjoy this book much more if you really get to know Cash and Jordan in the first book, The Whole Package. Cash and Jordan are quite the pair. Between them is a ton of sass, snark, and sizzling chemistry that seems to throw Cash off his game. This is the story of how their relationship moves from enemies to friends to lovers and it's one wild and sexy ride that was so much fun to read. I'd definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Cash is stubborn and protective.
Jordan is also stubborn and protective.
When those two got close to each other, the fun begin.
Loved characters, storyline.
Great book.

This was a fun read that had everything I enjoy in a book and then some. Jordan and Cash were so friggin’ cute together. They are both snarky and on point when it comes to their banter, something that I love not only in my books, but in real life. I enjoy mature humor and this had it in abundance while allowing the romance, drama and conflict to still reign.

I loved how organic the relationship between Jordan and Cash developed. They didn’t play games and they were both up front about being with each other. I loved that so much of this story is them as a couple, even proclaiming themselves as a couple. They were just so darn adorable! Everything from her poking him in the chest to him thinking she was perfect, as she wrestled and contained someone to the ground, made me love them more.

Cash is the type of hero I love. He’s a big, burly, bear of a man who tends to end up in fights but inside he’s a soft marshmallow. With a wounded soul from a childhood of being told he was bad as well as being neglected, to a relationship that only solidified his belief in his childhood teachings, he finds it impossible to believe anyone could love anything about him. I gotta say, my heart broke for him several times throughout this story.

”Somehow, someway, he had to fool her into thinking he was more than he seemed. Because, selfish as it was, he wanted Jordan in his life. And maybe, just maybe, if he worked hard at it, he could be the guy she needed.”

Jordan was an exceptional heroine! Ex-army, she was one tough lady that could totally hold her own among a group of other ex-military guys. While she could totally kick tail, she was also soft and vulnerable which made for a wonderful combination. And holy heck, when she let it rip with Cash, she was fierce and I loved watching her set him straight.

”Her toned belly had a gentle curve, her a—firm and rounded, the perfect woman. Not afraid to be strong or feminine.
He wanted to tell her that. That he saw the power inside her and respected the f--- out of her for it.”

This has a host of amusing moments that had me grinning, then laughing throughout its entirety. There are so many fun characters that add to the story rather than act as filler. The rapport between these individuals was as much fun to watch as the romance taking place within their midst and left me wanting more from all of them.

I rarely do rereads but this is one I’ll definitely be hitting again!

Reid and Cash are very different from each other. Younger than Cash, Reid is more responsible and always pulling his brother out of situations.

Cash seems kind of like a lunkhead but he has a kind heart. He will jump into a situation without thinking but he means well. He has a lot of issues stemming from a bad childhood so it effects how he feels and sees himself.

Jordan hasn’t always had it easy but her familial issues are nothing compared to Cash. She just kind of falls into a relationship with Cash when she really isn’t look for a relationship. She is fighting to get her brother on the right track.

They are good together. She is tough and no nonsense and he isn’t so macho that he has to take care of everything for her.

Smooth Moves is the second book to Marie Harte’s Veteran Movers series, and I enjoyed this one much better than the first. It’s due to Cash and Jordan being the main characters in this book. I loved these two in the first book and was anxiously waiting for their book together. Both of them are Veterans. Cash is a former Marine, and Jordan is a former Army. If you’ve been around anyone from different branches of the military, then you’ll realize we like to brag about branch and service. (Army/Marines/Navy/AirForce). (Yes, I’m a Veteran. A Navy Veteran and I love reading books that have characters that are Active Duty/Retired/Veterans.)

Cash and Jordan have some serious tension they’re fighting with each other. Cash knows he shouldn’t hook up with Jordan since he’s technically her boss. He also knows that if he ticked off Jordan that she could handle him. She’s a former MP from the Army. She’s a kick-butt female character. Cash, though, is a former Marine, and he has the issues that he’s dealing with in this book. Although Jordan needs Cash’s help with her little brother to try to get him on the right track with school and life. Cash will assist her, as long as she helps with his mother’s house. Cash never had an important relationship with his mother or his father. This book, though, opens up truths about Cash and why his family was the way they were with him.

I loved getting to know both Cash and Jordan in this book. The moments they were together both opened up with each other. Cash had a very protective side, but so did Jordan, which is why they will clash, but be perfect for each other too. They try to fight each other’s attraction for each other, but it’s not going to happen. They were meant to hook up with each other due to their personalities and their love for taking care of others. Although, they will butt heads with how to handle certain situations.

I did enjoy the other characters in the book too that are apart of Cash’s and Reid’s moving company and can’t wait to read about their books too. I already know who is getting their book next and I can’t wait since he was thrown into a situation that he was not expecting thanks to everyone at the Moving Company. I loved it!

Overall, I enjoyed this book over the first book. It’s all due to the characters and how I adored them. Readers will get Reid and Naomi in this book too, so they’ll get to know how their relationship is going in this book. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series, especially since a particular character had to find out about the moving company’s neighbor. 🙂

There are moments within a Marie Harte novel where it becomes hard to tell who the alpha is. Smooth Moves has a number of those moments. Cash and Jordan butt heads at every turn. It's an uphill battle to romance, but the climb is full of seductive foreplay. There's always a new twist to their story, but the culmination is as explosive as their courtship is tempting.

Entertaining romance

I liked Smooth Moves the second book in Marie Harte’s Movin’ On series even more than book one The Whole Package.
We met Jordan and Cash in the previous book, however their relationship starts in this book and it can be read as a stand alone.
I think the author did a good job in plotting an interesting unique story. The secondary characters play an important part in the story and added to the realism.
I look forward to reading the next story in this series.

Strong personalities collide at “Smooth Moves” but it did not stop them from falling in love!

The second book of the “Movin’ On series, “Smooth Moves” follows former Marine Cash Griffin and former Army Jordan Fleming. Cash recently received his 15 minutes of fame when he stopped a robbery that was caught on camera and gone viral.

Though Cash wanted to keep on the down low, those few minutes of video jump started the fledging moving company Vets on the Go! that he co-founded with his brother and his cousin.

And that is how Jordan Fleming came into his orbit. Recently honorably discharged from the Army, Jordan was trying to decide what to do next. Working as a mover seemed as good as any. What she did not anticipate was the attraction between her and Cash that was almost incendiary.

But both have baggage from their past, plus current problems with their siblings. In between their job, personal challenges and family complications, they barely have time for each other. The question becomes, can they sustain the relationship they have to lead to a happily ever after.

A sweet read, “Smooth Moves” is as much as romance as it is familial love. Both Jordan and Cash love their respective families at their core. So, though both of them are grown, it is also sort of a coming of age story as they learned and accepted that person they have become.

“Smooth Moves” is Rated T for Teens. Parental guidance is strongly advised due to some adult situations.

Jordan Fleming knows that Cash Griffith is trouble with a capital 'T.' Snarling and strong, the man runs toward situations rather than stopping to figure out what is going on and then working through them. She needs his help though; her younger brother is starting to get into a lot of trouble and she thinks Cash can probably reach him.
Cash knows that he has a connection to Jordan but she is an employee of the company he is a a part owner for so she is not on the list of "okay" people to date. She's not even really his type. Except that, smart mouthed and super sexy might actually be his type. In fact, Jordan might be his perfect woman.
Harte does a really good job of exploring a few things in this book. Jordan doesn't see her job in the moving company as long-term but Cash does; neither looks down on the other for their choices. Rafe not speaking up about his problem with math was delicately handled although Jordan's family's interactions were just a little confusing overall.

Smooth Moves was an enjoyable read. That had a nice mix of heat, sweetness, likable characters, family drama, humour and heart. Not to mention it was well paced, and easy to read. And the storyline easily kept me engaged throughout. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others.

Smooth Moves is the second book in Marie Harte's Movin' On series. It can be read as a stand alone. Smooth Moves is about Cash, former Marine and part-owner of moving company Vets on the Go, and Jordan, a newish employee and former Army MP. I loved seeing Cash and Jordan's relationship develop! Both characters were super likable and I was rooting for them the entire time. I also really enjoyed all of the secondary characters.

I can't wait to read more from this series. I really hope we get a book about Smith! I recommend this to any contemporary romance lover looking for a fun, quick read. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the book! This story was a fast paced and held my interest through the entire book. I really enjoyed the characters Cash and Jordan. They were great together. The other characters added humor and further depth. This book was very enjoyable and I recommend it. I am looking forward to further books by Marie Harte as she is one of my favorites.

This was a story that grabs you by the imagination and takes you for a ride, from the beginning to the end, it is intense thrill ride. The characters are portrayed so clearly that you can imagine them and see them doing things throughout the story. “Smooth Moves” is freaking epic and the talent “Marie Harte” possesses has once again soared to another level with this book. I loved every minute of this delicious read and I went back and re-read this book all over again as it’s just that amazing!! Absolutely recommend. Happy reading everyone!!!

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. Wow what can I say about this title it was just an awesome read. This book was just something so wonderfully different I’ve never quite read anything like this. You should read to find out you won’t be disappointed. I’m definitely going to read more by this author.

THis is the second in a series but I believe you can red them as stand-alones. Being prior military myself I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It’s for sure a romance but I liked it.

I loved this latest book by Marie Harte. She continues her story about the men and women who work for the moving company Vets on the Go! Her story of heart and romance is a sure crowd pleaser.
Cash Griffith may be a former Marine, but now he works with his brother for the moving company they started. Cash knows that he carries a lot of baggage from the crappy childhood he had and his surly attitude can be a bit much. He likes the work that he is doing and it feels good to be part of a team. When a new employee joins the movers, Cash finds himself more intrigued by her than he should be. He has to figure out what to do with the attraction while dealing with his mother’s recent death and all he drama that stirred up for him.
Jordan Fleming left the Army under less than ideal circumstances. Sticking up for a friend left her feeling betrayed by those she counted on. Now she has to figure out how to adjust to life as a civilian while helping her younger brother, Rafael, deal with his issues with high school. Finding a job with Vets on the Go! was a perfect fit for the moment while Jordan figures out what to do next. She seems to get along with all of the other movers. Her attraction to Cash, however, does need to be dealt with.
I love the interactions between Cash and Jordan. Yes, they are both tough ex-military, but they have a softer side as well. They are a lot alike which increases their attraction to one another. Neither of them are good at explaining feelings and they both have baggage from their parents. They have to figure out who they are to each other and how they can help each other deal with whatever comes up.
I really like this series. This book is the second in the series, but you don’t need to have read the first to follow along with what is going on. I am not sure where Ms. Harte will head next in this series. There are so many amazing characters from Evan, Cash’s cousin, to any of the men of the moving company.

Cash had his five minutes of fame when he was caught on tape stopping a robbery, but he’d prefer to stay out of the spotlight and work with his brother in their moving company. He enjoys the physical work and gets along well with his coworkers, all retired military. They tease and joke, rehash the latest episode of their favorite reality TV show, and tough but tiny Jordan keeps them all in line.

After reading the first book in this series I was in love with all the characters in the Vets To Go! family. Their trash taking about military branches, teasing, joking and prank pulling makes for a lively read while giving a strong sense of camaraderie and community. I also appreciate the reminder of the struggles our service members face reintegrating into civilian life.

Jordan is an admirable heroine, trying to find her place in the world while taking care of her struggling teenage brother. She's strong and determined and will do anything for those she loves. Cash comes across as a loose cannon, and he's definitely a tough guy, but it hides a squishy heart. The degree of negativity he had towards himself was a drawback for me, however. I understand what drove that for him, but it moved beyond vulnerable and endearing and ended up weakening his character for me. In the overall story, it was a minor irritation, and I’m still invested in this series. I’m definitely looking forward to Evan's series, and if you like military heroes, you’ll love all of the guys in the Veteran Movers Series.

I love Cash. I knew I would from reading about him in the previous story, but now I love him even mor than I thought. Jordan is perfect for him. This is one of those stories that makes the reader feel good. There are small nods to characters from other books, which is always fun. I can’t wait for book 3.
