Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange of a review.
I dont want to seen like I didnt enjoy this book because for the most part I did. There was way too many mentions of "big" girls in this book. It seemed like the author said those words in every other sentence. I get that the book has almost all plus sized women as characters but I dont need to read it 5000 time in one book.
The characters all had the lowest self esteem about themselves because as the author puts it, they are fat. The only person that felt good about their self was an elderly lady, a man and one trailer trash skinny woman. You do not have to be "skinny" to feel good about yourself. I'm sure the author did not mean it that way but it sure seemed like it.
There were parts of the story where the author forgot to talk about how big the ladies were and then the story was really cute and fun.

I haven't read a Carolyn Brown book before, so I was unsure just how I would like this book, but I haven't met a true BBW book I haven't loved, so I'm going to put all my hopes and feelings into loving this one.

I love the whole idea that this dress shop was exclusively for BBW/curvy women! and I'm dead jealous that there isn't an in real life one near me! I truly would basically live there, and honestly, with me showing that much emotion, you cannot help but realize that the author hit the nail on the head with this book.

This book is focused around Mitzi, the owner of this plus size boutique, but also factors in the lives of her best friends and business partners. but I truly loved the relationship between Graham and Mitzi, especially when Mitzi puts Graham's ex-wife Rita firmly in her place.

This story is well written and flows right off the page and into my soul! The characters are outstanding and you cannot help but love them all! and I'm thrilled to say that the author finished this book with a truly outstanding epilogue.

That dress sounds very pretty, but not for a bride.

These girls are great. They actually have life skills.

I can't believe Jody became a vegan for this shmuck.

Wanda's bipolar.

How big is Paula that no one noticed she's six months pregnant?

Who knew you can clean a house wrong.

Gladys is just concerned about what to wear to her kid's hypothetical funeral, not that that kid is dead?

The child bride is making more sense to me now.

Every customer should be like Ellie Mae.

I feel the most sorry for Kayla in this situation.

He is so cute.

What the heck is FCCLA?

Quincy is actually nice.

Double standard, Darrin!

Jody's mother needs to get a life.

Whoa, Mitzi has balls of steel.

Spiders and cats, no way.

He needs to start bringing a Taser to work.

Walk away slowly, Quincy...

Haha, point, set, match goes to Tabby!

Hazel knows how to play her daddy like a fiddle.

I feel bad for both Jody and Quincy's childhood palates.

Drop dead, Clinton.

He brushed Mitzi's hair. That's damn sexy.

I want a Graham!

That's a big baby. Ouch!

Aw, "Mitzi Mama"!

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

OMG, I can't go wrong with a Carolyn Brown book. Whether it's a cowboy romance or women's fiction. The Perfect Dress was fabulous. I always love unique characters with a bit of sass. I love plus size heroines. Graham, Mitzi, and the twins were great

I found so much to love in the characters' banter, with each character given a personable voice. Dialogue sparkled with well thought-out depths of character history, humor, care, and loyalty. Conversation was engaging and thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyable. Author has nailed the expertise of characterization. My own preference, though, is for much more of a sense of place, more sensory details, and a painting of details that would bring that masterful dialogue more to life. The author 'has it' with voice, and can easily elevate this story with setting that becomes something of a character as well. I'm impressed enough by the dialogue to seek out other novels by this author, and will keep looking for future titles.

Loved, loved, loved this title! The ladies were a group I'd love to know and their "southern-ness" was delightful. I enjoyed the setting, the realistic view of their lives and romances, and the pride and discomfort they often felt about being plus-sized. It was a delightful read, one I know my readers will enjoy!

Mitzi and her friends run the Perfect Dress, which is a dress shop for bespoke wedding dresses for larger women.

Mitzi then crosses her high school crush Graham who has recently moved back to Celeste with his twin daughters. Mitzi still gets the same feelings for Graham as she did when she was 15, but will Graham notice her?? He didn't when they were kids, then the twin come in for a fitting for bridesmaid dresses and hits it off with all the partners in the shop, also Tabby and Dixie love making flower arrangements which The Perfect Dress doesn't currently offer, So the twins end up with a part time job at the shop which also means Graham appears more and more and feeling for Mitzi seem to be mutual.

Jody is happy living with her long term partner in their trailer, when Lyle then doesn't come back home to Jody. But the next morning Jody receives a phone call that turns her whole world upside down!!!

Paula has a secret so big she doesn't know how to tell anyone. She is worried what people will say and do what will her mother think of her???

The three friends help each other through their trials and tribulations.

This is a well written book with a definite feel good factor feel, well worth a read!!!

Another fantastic story by Carolyn Brown. Every time I read one of her books, it reminds me of another reviewer saying that Carolyn doesn't know how to write a bad story. I totally concur.

Many thanks to Montlake Romance, NetGalley and Ms. Brown for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Delightful, fun book. Good beach, rainy day, or anytime read. Mrs. Brown's 'Southernisms' are spot on. The only one missing is a good "bless her heart" Lol! Ladies who live in the south or have any knowledge of southern women/lifestyle will appreciate the fun banter of the characters. LOL funny at times. I think I'd like to be a ''fly on the wall'' at the author's home or in the book.
.
I previously happened upon two other of Mrs. Brown"s books on Amazon and was delighted that I was able to read this ARC. I will definitely seek her works for good clean but almost naughty books.

No spoilers from me, jacket cover is sufficient. Put on your boots, pull up your hair a ponytail or bun , drink a root beer (or a 'cold one') and enjoy this book.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC for an honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

This book has likeable, in a way different from the norm, yet overall quite ordinary characters, and an interesting story.
I liked the big-seized heroine and her friends/partners, their friendship and business. The big, spectacled, somewhat shy, yet self-assured, honorable hero, who takes his time to make a move on the heroine, is also charming.
I always like a slow-burn romance and I’ve enjoyed watching Mitzi and Graham fall for each other, although I would have liked to have felt a bit more heat and passion. It was refreshing to have a couple with no drama between each other, but the vilification of Graham’s ex (and Mitzi friends’ too) was unnecessary and their antics a bit far-fetched.
The twins are great, but too perfect for teens.
While I’ve enjoyed the fact that most of the characters – and particularly the trio of friends – were guileless foodies, the part food and eating played in the plot sometimes felt a bit tedious and, at a certain point, the food dimension became a little too much, with all that eating and talking about it (I felt this part could be…shortened).
At first, I had some trouble getting used to the “y’all”s, but I guess it’s appropriate in the name of realism when the setting is a small town in Texas.

The stories of Mitzi, Jody and Paula, who all work together in the shop they run, making plus-sized wedding dresses.
The book follows their lives as one falls in love, one splits from her partner and one finds out she is going to be a single mother.
A gently paced story with some interesting characters!

Carolyn Brown does not disappoint. Yet another great read! Her characters make you feel like they are your next door neighbors. What could be better then 3 best friends running a Plus size wedding boutique, a secret crush moving back into town, and enough drama to make life interesting. I loved reading about Mitzi and Graham and getting to know Graham's twin daughters. They do everything big in Texas and this book is no exception. If you like an ending that makes you happy with enough twists to make you wonder if you will get there, then this is the read for you!

This book is so good and I'm still not sure who my favorite characters are. There were several that I wanted to throat punch myself. I think I might have to go with the twins because they remind me of myself when I was young except I had the opposite problem of being super tiny. This book will have leave you wondering what is going to happen next. I am glad all of the girls had a great ending, everyone deserves to find happiness at any age.

In The Perfect Dress, Ms. Brown gives her readers a glimpse into the lives of three best friends running a wedding dress business & their lives, loves & families. All three girls are what is considered “big” girls & have been bullied for their size. They cater only to plus sizes, determined to help them feel beautiful on their big day. I enjoyed the fact that even though all three have their moments of shame & self doubt, they stand behind each other through everything & come out the other side stronger & more self assured.

This story follows three friends who own their own custom wedding dress shop. These three women are the type of friends everyone is looking for in their life-one who will stand beside you or stand up for you no matter what. Carolyn Brown presents us with witty characters as she tackles family dynamics, romance and gives us TONS of humor along the way.

I recieved a free digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this one, the characters were fun and there was plenty of drama.

Time shops a little sometimes and without chalet trains for which character we're with can be a little confusing, at times I had to go can to try to figure out who was talking.

I loved Mitzi's conversation with Rita and the way she shit her down, but then again I loved the way Graham did that too.

Overall I liked it
