Rise of the Hearts: Rebirth by Antoine Bonnner
Genre - Fantasy, Supernatural
Synopsis
Months have passed since Nate has met Traeh, the deity of love with the pink heart-shaped irises. He's gotten used to his new powers she has given him and feels invincible, at least until someone predicts he's going to die a violent death. Nate becomes cautious and takes a break from his hobby of killing disloyal cheaters and gold diggers to avoid any unnecessary trouble. But trouble finds him because of his past actions and forces the hand of a powerful foe, pushing him to his limits and forcing him to deal with his inner demons.

Review
This book is a sequel to another which I was unaware of. Had I known this I would not have read it as I don't like to read out of order. With that being said I did not finish this book. Mainly because I learned that it was a sequel. It was written well enough that I believe that you would be able to get the gist of the story without the background of the first in the series, but who really wants to do that. I was unable to really get into the story. I didn't feel as though the writing flowed very smoothly and was choppy. This is very distracting for me. After reading the first 50 pages I put it down and may revisit it at another time. The synopsis was very interesting and I think the story has great potential.
I appreciate the opportunity to read this book through NetGalley as well as the Author and publisher. Thank You Antoine Bonner (Author) and Bookbaby (Publisher). #Riseoftheheartsrebirth #NetGalley

A random brush of an arm in a restaurant and Nate is sitting in a therapists office. Oh, but wait-Nate isn't there for therapy, he's there to give it! You see, Nate, "the king of hearts", has been chosen by deity of love to do her bidding. With this position he is given special powers: speed, strength, the ability to swap bodies. You know, typical stuff.
The greatest power is to be able to find cheaters and gold-diggers, just by skin to skin contact..
Now, the punishment!
The only one who knows about these special gifts is his sister, Kim. Oh, but wait, she's pretty special too. Now is when the fun starts!
Fun, interesting, and exciting read.

received Rise of the Hearts: Rebirth by Antoine Bonner free from NetGalley for an honest review. #Riseoftheheartsrebirth #NetGalley
[NetGalley URL]. It is definitely not a reread or one I will recommend. It was ok. The ending left me confused as to why several things happened in the book. The seeming lessons appear to have no actual meaning.

Sorry to say I found this book to be awful. I only got halfway through and could not finish it. First of all it is a short story of sorts that follows a first novel which, at no point, does it say this anywhere. It’s almost sophomoric in it writing. It’s just plain silly . The dialogue, the characters, the action. I couldn’t handle it.

I really had high hopes for this this book. The first one was great, but this book was not as cohesive as the last book, and it was hard to understand most parts.

Rise of the Hearts: Rebirth by Antoine Bonner was an interesting premise although the writing style fell flat to me and could have been better in order to have a greater impact within the story. I think the author had a lot of potential but the book overall fell flat to me.

The writing on this was bad. The story was extremely choppy and confusing to follow along with. I’m honestly really surprised this got published.

A bit too jumpy and the writing didn't flow as nicely as I would've wanted it to. I thought this would've been a better read, alas it wasn't. I suppose better luck next time.

Rise of the Hearts: Rebirth is the second book to Rise of the Hearts which follows Nate on a new adventure with his new found powers.

I did not read the first book, however the short story SEEMED easy to pick up the goings on from the first book. The blurb of the book was intriguing and I like the cover image.

When beginning this book, I started with an open mind. Particularly as there were no reviews... I like to randomly selected star rating reviews (ignoring those with spoilers) to gauge what was the overall thoughts on the book. This is a newly published book - published on the 27 December 2018.

Thus new publication and an open mind to review book. The first 10 pages I started to become rather wary and after 15 pages I could not continue reading.

The writing is jumpy, doesn’t flow nicely and gives the impression of either broken English or a poor translation to English. It’s off putting..
