This quick and sexy read is my first from Cassia Leo but definitely not my last. The chemistry between the couple was off the charts, and Cash is the type of alpha-hero that readers love.

Because of her terminally ill father and his gambling addiction, Kara is up until her eyeballs into debt. When she meets Cash Westbrook, who’s become the enfant terrible of the tabloid press ever since his girlfriend OD’d, he offers her a million dollar to pose as his fiancé after a night of steamy sex. Needless to say, Kara agrees, but when both her and Cash feelings go beyond just physical attraction and her father’s debt collectors pulling the proverbial noose around her neck tighter with each passing day, she has to decide if Cash really is a guy she can bank on in her time of need.

I liked this story well enough, but I didn’t love it. I’m not sure if this is intended as a Romantic Suspense (I don’t think it is?), but the suspense plot was weak and the bad guys didn’t really close in until after Kara and Cash had professed their love for each other. It made the plot feel muddled to the point where I found myself flicking to the Epilogue after the ‘I love you’s’ were exchanged.

There were also a couple of things that I thought would come back to bite back Cash in the ass, but it didn’t, namely what happens in the club with the sister of Cash’s nemesis. If he’s usually fodder for the paparazzi and people were filming the incident with their phones, it ought to have ended up in the papers and it definitely should’ve had some repercussions, since he was trying to clean up his act. But that axe never dropped for some reason.

Cash is the epitome of the tortured hero, but I felt his mistrust towards Kara wasn’t justified, especially since it was him approaching her after their one-night-stand, and not the other way around. He really gave off the poor-little-rich-boy vibe at certain points, and not in a good way. However, his grovel to get Kara back made me clutch my pearls in delight, so there’s that :-)

Kara on the other hand is a really likable heroine who’s been dealt a rough hand in life, but is trying to make the most of it nonetheless. I liked her a lot.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were a few grammatical errors along the way but not so many or so completely incorrect that you couldn’t enjoy the story. I thought the way that Cash was linked to Kara’s father was really well written and can’t say enough good things.

This is my first book by Cassie Leo and I’m still a little unsure how I feel about it. Lol.

Writing style good, Characters good, smart and strong. Storyline, maybe that’s where I’m unsure. There were good story lines and struggles from both sides that were realistic, but then there would pop up something especially in the last third of the book, that was just too “out there ” for me. I think I felt as if the smaller things that happened seemed realistic, but a few bigger things that happened kind of hit you right in the head, almost out of nowhere, BIG things and then just resolved in a very short period of time.

The first half of the book flowed pretty well for me, but there were things in the second half that were just not believable, came out of nowhere and ended pretty unbelievably. It’s hard to be any more descriptive without spoiling it for anyone, so I’m describing things the best way possible without giving the story away. In the end it is an HEA, with a sweet epilogue and it is really going to be a matter of preference for each person how well they like it.

For me it was just okay. I would likely try another book by this author, but maybe not in this series, just to find out if the things that weren’t to my preference were applicable to this story only or a normal storytelling style for this author.

Cash by Cassia Leo is book Four in the Power Players Series and is the story of Cash Westbrook and Kara Langley. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Cash is the ultimate rich playboy who is Vice President of the family business. But with each new women, each new headline and each new mess-up that is put in the paper is a nail in his coffin for his job. Everyone is tired of his ways and wants him to move on or clean up his image. Kara is struggling to help her father even though they have a shaky past. So she is in need of a lot of quick money which she thinks she on the right track taking a job at dealing blackjack but then she meets Cash. Cash knows there is something different about Kara but he puts it to her that if she helps him be his fake fiance he will help her with the cash. But what they slowly start to see is that they want each other more.

I don't mind the billionaire... and down on her luck gal... in Vegas... needing a fake fiance... with sex... and HEA... fall in love. This is a popular trope and I've read a few of those. Some were pretty good. This, however, seemed kind of sloppy when it came to character development and story telling. We deserve better.

If you have read one fake relationship trope novel, you’ve read them all. “Cash” features Kara Langley who is in need fast cash to pay her ailing father’s gambling debts which accumulated over $140,000. Her big break comes when she goes to an interview and begs for a position as a Blackjack dealer at the world renown Billionaire Club despite it being known that her father was ban from every casino on the strip for reading cards. Cash Westbrook, multi-billionaire and the same man who is responsible for the termination of Kara’s father job takes notice of her spit fire attitude. After a one-night-stand with Cash turns into a million-dollar bet, the bad boy billionaire asks Kara to be his fake fiance when his future business plans are at risk of collapsing. Agreeing to the arrangement to pay off the debt that is owe, Kara finds her life in danger when someone from her father’s past comes to collect. Coming to her aid when no has ever, Kara’s one step closer to being able to share her heart to Cash but would it be enough to heal their damaged hearts?

Kara and Cash were really good developed characters with decent backstories that help define who they are. Despite that, there wasn’t anything in particular that stood out from the series. There was definitely some some inconsistencies with the story and the romance seem like a little middle schoolish (instant romance, come on!), which I’m not a fan of unless the novel falls in the erotica genre. Speaking of erotica, the smexy scenes were probably the best about this series, considering that, the author should've just made this into an erotica instead of a romance novel. There was barely any real romance in it anyway. Overall, it was a good read but nothing to brag about. I've rated the series a good 3.5 stars, I opted to give it a 3 star Goodreads rating instead of rounding it off to 4 stars since there were more than a few things that bother me about the series content.

Cash is a guy that really values honesty but when his future plans are at risk of being crumbled he has to think on his feet and find someone willing to be his fake fiance. Turns out, it's not a hardship for him to find her. Kara intrigues him and awakens in him instincts and desires he didn't think himself capable of. Feelings he has been running from for a very long time. She has her own troubles too so it's no hardship to accept his crazy proposal. Plus really, it's really hard to refuse a sexy sensual alpha billionaire. It is great that this book has a bit of everything. It even comes with some action pack moments. And we can't forget about the sexy steamy ones. This story will show you that these characters have a lot of depth to them. More than what people around them have uncovered. But we as readers get to peal that onion.

Cash was such an a fitting name for this book. This was a duo POV with Cash and Kara. This book flowed nicely and was such great chemistry! I loved how Cash went out his way to take care of Kara and even through disagreements was able to listen and fix things. Kara was open to new love even though she attempted to tell herself it was strictly business
I highly recommend!

Loved this book. Love this authir. This book drew me right in from the start. Cash is a sexy alpha billionaire who isn't afraid to go after what he wants. He is always in the tabloids, with some story or another. This story has the mob intertwined with it, made it more interesting. I am going to go back and read the other books about the starting of the security team that helped and can't wait to read the new release King when it comes out.

Cash Westbrook has spent most of his time partying and being the media and paparazzi’s “it boy” when it comes to scandal; but now Cash is about to lose everything if he can’t prove to the powers that be that he’s changed his wild ways. All he needs is to produce the fiancée he’s told his father he has.

Kara Langley’s father is dying and she’s buried under his medical bills and gambling debt. With the skills her father has taught her, she lands a sweet gig in one of the most exclusive casinos. With the salary and the tips, she can make, she’ll pay off this debt in a reasonable amount of time. When Cash sits at her blackjack table and offers her the deal of a lifetime, be his fake fiancée and he’ll pay her nicely, she can’t help but take the deal.
This book didn’t turn out to be what I thought it would. The first introduction to Cash and I was ready to be sucked in. Unfortunately, this never happened. Things moved a little too fast for me and I felt like I was missing something, like there was a part of the story that wasn’t being told.

I have nothing against characters that fall in love quickly. I liked Cash and Kara, I thought their chemistry was great; I thought the storyline was great but something about it just didn’t work for me.

I liked the first few chapters but once the "fake engagement " plot started I disconnected. It was not a original plot line and I lost interest.

Cash is a playboy billionaire searching to get himself out of trouble. Meeting a black jack dealer will lead him to make the bet of a lifetime. Kara has to work hard to help her father. Thanks to his past Misdeeds she now is stuck with very few options. When these two get together their chemistry is off the charts but not gonna lie.... I feel like there were some inconsistencies with the story and out of nowhere comes insta love. Decent story just a bit off leaving you scratching your head like huh? Did I miss something

I read Cash in 2 sittings. It really sucked me in from the start. I loved the concept and the story line. I felt like it was a little rushed but it kept you reading. i felt like some of the story lines could have been drawn out a little more. I would have liked a little more set up between them meeting and the party. I liked how the female character was not needy but and could handle things on her own but recognized how having Cash made things better. I loved the Cash character. I'd like to have a little more of him at the start more of the evolution of his character. Overall i enjoyed the story and the characters and will definitely wait for others in the series.

4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Opinions expressed are my own !!

First book by this author Cassia Leo & really liked this easy - read in one sitting book !

Cash is a billionaire playboy - currently in trouble with the board of his father’s company for one to many scandalous headlines . He meets Kara- a new black jack dealer at his favorite casino - other than dealing cards she wants nothing to do with him. Super smart & snarky Kara pretty much has Cash’s pegged as the type that is trouble with a capital “T”

A crazy hot one night stand leads Cash & Kara on what could be the biggest gamble of their lives !!!

Few things I ❤️❤️ about this book:
Vegas setting
Great characters
Very strong heroine who kicks butt when needed ...
Interesting storyline & plot
Awesome HEA & epilogue

I definitely will be checking out other books by this author - great read !!

CASH is the fourth instalment in Cassia Leo’s contemporary, adult POWER PLAYERS erotic, romances series. This is billionaire heir to Westbrook Oil Cash Westbrook, and Vegas Black Jack dealer Kara Langley’s story line. CASH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Kara and Cash) CASH follows the fake engagement and building relationship between billionaire heir to Westbrook Oil Cash Westbrook, and Vegas Black Jack dealer Kara Langley. Kara Langley is desperate for money to pay her father’s medical bills when the opportunity of a lifetime finds our heroine the new Black Jack dealer at a private billionaire’s club, a club where she will meet the man with whom she will fall in love. Enter billionaire playboy and manwh*re Cash Westbrook, a man with more than his share of media disasters. When Westbrook Oil deems Cash a threat to the stability of the board, in desperation Cash sets about to clean up his image starting with a ‘fake’ fiancé in the form of Kara Langley. What ensues is the building relationship and love between Kara and Cash, and the potential fall-out as Kara’s father’s past seeks redemption for sins of the past using Kara and the people she loves in their need for retribution and repayment.

Cash is desperate to make good on the promise to clean up his image in an effort to reclaim his seat on the board but desperation meant finding the first available woman willing to play along as his fake fiancé, a move that threatens his family and his life. Kara Langley struggles to pay the mounting bills for her father’s medical treatments but sins from the past threaten any semblance of peace when Kara is targeted, and her life becomes a bargaining chip in a dangerous game on the Las Vegas strip. When Cash offers Kara one-million dollars to play his fake fiancé, Kara hopes to stay one step ahead of those trying to destroy her life.

The relationship between Kara and Cash is one of immediate attraction but Cash doesn’t do relationship, and the latest media frenzy refuses to die down as Cash’s personal life is paparazzi fodder. Kara is desperate enough to take Cash up on his offer but outlines three rules that must be obeyed in an effort to remain in control of the situation. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense

We are introduced to Cash’s parent Anne and Jacob Westbrook, as well as Kara’s father Kurt Langley, and his aide Jacie, as well as Kara’s friend Suzy. We are reintroduced to Knox Savage of Savage Security, as well as security guards Dex and Hector. The requisite evil has many faces.

CASH is a story of family, desperation, addiction and love. The premise is engaging, entertaining and enticing; the characters are colorful, energetic and charismatic; the romance is passionate and seductive. CASH is a fast paced, sizzling and animated story line.

Cassia Leo writes a new steamy billionaire alpha in this series starter, Cash. Kara is the product of her upbringing and is struggling to find a job her father’s bad reputation. He’s known as a card counter and cheat in Las Vegas and it’s hurting her pockets. They need money to pay off debts and it’s dire now. She finally stands up for herself and lands the perfect job at a Billionaires Club Casino. Cash like Kara is a product of his upbringing only he’s a poor little rich boy. He suffers from Peter Pan syndrome. Board of his family company wants him gone if he doesn’t change. Cash comes up with anscheme and needs help. This is a steamy hot book like Cassia Leo is good at writing. Full of hot sexy scenes and drama that keeps you flipping the pages and staying up til 2am. I loved it and can’t wait til the next one called Knox comes out.

Kara's father has racked up quite a large gambling debt and it's fallen on her to not only pay that debt but also his medical bills that his cancer has racked up. Thank God she got a job at the Billionaire Club as a card dealer. When one of the card sharks proposes a very lucrative deal to her - be his fake fiancée for $1M if they can convince his board that he's not only engaged but really plans on settling down, what else can Kara say but yes?

But of course things can't possibly be that easy because of course not. For one, Cash has serious issues, and two, Kara doesn't trust easily. Can she trust Cash to make good on his deal with her? She's not sure. And she's not sure if she wants to stick around a guy who accused her of the things he just accused her of.

I liked Cash. I didn't love it, mainly because I had a hard time believing that Cash and Kara really had the strong feelings for each other they claimed after only knowing each other for such a short time. But their chemistry was definitely hot. There's a good bit of action toward the end, that picked the story up enough that I can fairly rate this 4 stars. Can't wait for the next story, King.
