June Kisses was a fun quick read. This was my first read in the series and found it can be read as a standalone.
Its was a sweet friends to lovers read. Sunnie and Landon had some really cute moments together. I laughed and smiled a lot while reading this book. I don't think I have read any books from Mari Carr before but I know I will again.

At this point it's safe to say I am absolutely obsessed with Mari Carr and the whole Collins family!! June Kisses is the next amazing installment in this series. The only thing I could love more about this book would be if she wrote another 100-200 pages. But what can I say I'm greedy!
The characters were so well done, I love friends to lovers romances. And Riley was my favorite of the original series so I loved every glimpse of her and Aaron still madly in love 3 kids later.

This is the second book of Wilder Irish series that I read. A simple, light-hearted, sexy story. Author has successfully depicted the story of best friends and tag along kid sister who realizes their love and unites once grown up.

A very good read.

I am a sucker for a "girl falls for brother's best friend" story and this was no different. Sunnie and Landon were so cute together as they made the transition from life-long friends to romance. I really enjoyed getting to know the two main characters and the wonderful family that surrounds them. I'll definitely be reading more from this series.

First, a warning so you don’t buy this book twice, or three times: I received this book via Netgalley and it had the title June Kisses. It’s also listed, however, as June Bride and Wild Kisses. The multiple change of title should have warned me off…

After being a little confused by certain aspects of the plot (I use the term loosely), I checked out Carr’s catalogue and, skimming through the blurbs, it became apparent she rehashes the same ideas over and over. That is, romances with a lot of ‘naughty’ sex scenes.

Her books are obviously aimed at readers who want to read a little smut but don’t know where to access it on the internet. (Hint: Try fanfiction. It’s free and lots of it is probably better written that this.)

The book’s conflict was really weak, the chemistry between the characters questionable and the meet-cute non-existent. The sex scenes started out okay but Carr tried to make them needlessly edgy and modern and this is where I got turned off (not what she was probably going for).

I might have been okay with it all (each to their own and everything) if not for one scene near the end when a character admits to the hero, Landon, she’s been physically abused/beaten by her partner. Landon then goes home and proceeds to spank the heroine (until she notes she has problems with lying on her butt from the pain, mind you). Okay, okay… I know I sound puritan and it’s a kink and the heroine certainly wants it, enjoys it and asks for it but I still found it in bad taste to include this kink in a scene so close to the admission of abuse one. Slippery slope and all that.

The other thing that annoyed me is the way Carr used a plethora of characters without explaining who they were or giving the new reader any context of their past role in the series. In the end I didn’t even bother trying to work out who was who because I wasn’t really caring. I’m sure most of them were into spanking (this seemed a little freaky, I must admit, that Landon knew his friends - and boss! - were into spanking also) or, judging from the covers of the other books in the series, menages a trois.

The setting also held no charm for me. Baltimore actually sounds pretty scary, crime-wise. And the family pub with some sort of series of rooms upstairs where everyone hears everyone having sex? Weird.

I was also unimpressed with the amount of spelling and grammar errors in my edition but this might have been corrected before publication.

Anyway, fans of Shades of Gray might find it all okay but I’m obviously too boring and old or something.

1 1/2 out of 5

First, thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title. Access to review copies is always appreciated.
Unfortunately, I have chosen not to finish and review this title. I was not able to connect with it, and instead of finishing a title I was not connecting with, I have chosen to move on to another title.
Again, I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to the next title.

June Kisses is a friends to lovers story. The hero and heroine are quite engaging characters, and it was easy to root for their happily ever after. I appreciate the strength of Mari Carr's characters, it makes for fireworks and chemistry. She writes with passion and humor. June Kisses is part of a series, but it isnt vital to read it in order. It's a quick, sexy read, with compelling characters and a satisfactory ending. I look forward to Mari Carr books.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

Sunday Young always wanted to play with her brother and his best friend Finn ever since she was 5 years old. There were more like brother and sisters as growing up. Landon loved hanging with Finn and Sunday while growing up. He always envied Finn's big family.
One day, Landon revealed to Fin and Sunshine that his girlfriend Audrey will be moving to New York and he might be leaving with her. He couldn't decided if he could leave his beloved city and both of them. While deciding to move, Audrey and Landon broke up and he stayed and she left to pursue her dream in NY.
Landon took close to year to get over Audrey and Fin and Sunny was there to support him. When Sunny was having April's fools party, Sunnie and Landon shared a kiss while heavily intoxicated (that's what they thought). Ever since that kiss, their relationship felt different. Both seem to avoid each other at Sunny's family pub where they hang out all the time.
While in duty, Landon finds someone being robbed and rescues the victim until he realizes it is Sunny. She was fighting off to secure her expensive bag. When Landon sees Sunny being attacked, it rages him and trying to calm her and only way he could calm her was to kiss her again. This time this kiss goes viral and they become sexy nurse and hot cop.
Now they are being hounded by paparazzi, reporters, single men and women. While Sunny handles her fame, Landon has difficult time handling all these people around him all the time. Ever since the second kiss, he finally realizes his feeling toward Sunny and he wanted more but he knows she won't do relationship and she would flee. So he decided to have a fake relationship for the public.
Sunny couldn't believe Landon suggested their fake relationship and she decided to throw in some demands to deter his idea but when he accepts her demands, their date is on... When everything dies down what would they do.

I did really liked everyone in the story. Landon and Sunny were cute. It was predictable story but I did like all the characters and their big family. This is first one I read from this series and I can't wait to read another one.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kobo Writing Life for ARC in exchange for honest review.

Sunnie is Landon’s friend Finn’s little sister and has always been part of his life. When he saves her from a mugger, and they end up kissing, something shifts in their relationship. When that kiss goes viral, their relationship becomes romantic, even if its pretend. Pretend is over rated and soon this becomes about real feelings and emotions.

Quick easy read with some good interactions and chemistry. The remaining characters are just as likeable. This is the first book for me by this author and I will make a point to read more.

I received a free ARC copy for my honest opinion and voluntary review.

I LOVED this story, so much that I began hunting for others in the series. This is book 6, but is very enjoyable as a stand alone story.

Caution: there are strong romantic scenes that may not be for everyone. So if that's not for you, page ahead and keep reading, because the book is a sweet one. I love friends to lovers stories, and I love stories that have strong families as secondary characters. This has it all. You'll love Sunny and Landon as they fumble through their relationship.

This was a first read for me by this author. June Kisses is book 6 in the Wilder Irish series, but I had no trouble reading as a standalone. I loved this sweet read! Landon and Sunnie were adorable and I absolutely love friends to lovers reads so this one hit the spot.

June Kisses ticked off all my boxes. Loves after heartbreak, check. Best friends to lovers, check. Humor, check. And don’t forget the close family ties, CHECK. I absolutely loved this quick read and highly recommend for anyone looking for a sweet and fun read.

This is the sixth book in the series, and I have to admit my first, but I will be going back as I really enjoyed the easy writing style and lovely gang of Collins friends and family in the book.

I loved the prologue, which sets up the current situation perfectly, with us seeing how Sunnie and Landon have known each other forever. They are clearly great friends but cross a boundary with a hot and heavy drunken kiss... and then both deny all knowledge. When it happens again, well, we just sit back and watch them work out what we know Mari Carr must have planned for them.

Lots of fun and passion amongst the pair and great banter with their nearest and dearest. If you want a happy friends-to-lovers story, this will give you a good read.

Landon and Sunnie have been friends since they were kids. Landon started out as Sunnie's brother’s best friend but she kept following the boys around until they let her join in the fun. So, the three of them became best friends and Landon was like her own brother. And she thought that until a drunken kiss at an April Fool's party. Now she thinks and hopes he doesn't remember because she doesn't do long-term relationships or love. And Landon is looking for his one true love.

A year after his longtime girlfriend left for New York and left him, Landon has been dealing with his feelings for Sunnie and they are growing stronger since that drunken kiss. He wants to take things slow and see what happens, but how does he approach the subject without running her off?

After he rescues her from a mugger, he kisses her to shut her up and someone gets it on video. When the video goes viral, everyone sees their true feelings but Sunnie. Because she didn't watch the video close enough and she was only looking at her face.

What will happen if she watches the video and sees what everyone else sees on Landon's face? Will Sunnie give a relationship with Landon a chance? Can they move past the video and see the truth of their feelings?

I found that I really liked this story, it is a great friends-to-lovers story that is filled with laughter, fun, happiness, family, a little pain, love, and a happily ever after. And this family is Irish, so you know it is going to be fun. This is a first for me in this series and from this author and I cannot wait to read more from this series to see what the rest of the family has been or will be up to.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sunnie and Landon have been friends since childhood and are total opposites or so we're made to think. Landon is a straight shooter cop who craves love and marriage. Sunnie is a wild child just looking for a good time and adventure. Their kiss goes viral and Landon convinces Sunnie to play his pretend girlfriend so their media attention would die down. Only Landon is apparently in love with her after one kiss and tries to trick her into loving him back.

While there were some pretty romantic parts, the book was really centered on some hard core erotica scenes that tore apart the sweet way Landon pursued her and at total contrast to his straight laced personality. It just didn't fit. Sunnie in spite her wildness seemed to be the girl next door and Landon uses sex to manipulate her into loving him. Not my cup of tea.

Read this in one sitting. This was a first book in the series for me. Really enjoyed this book. It has sexy and all the feels.

I absolutely adored this book. I love the way it starts in the beginning. It shows one part of the story line then pushes further in, then goes to present day. I read it in a few hours. It's the sixth book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. I cannot wait to read the next one in the series and also check out the first five. I absolutely love this family. For being such a huge family they are extremely tightknit and support each other so much. Which of many things can be one of my favorite things to read in a book. I love that this family basically adopts others in with such open hearts and arms. This book has the perfect splash of romcom with the cliche "unexpected" childhood friend turned lover. Of course i'm in no way bashing the book. Just because something is a tad cliche doesn't make it less amazing. The story is so well written. Landon completely flips the switch on Sunnie a lot when she doesn't expect it. They are polar opposites which is part of what makes them amazing. I highly suggest you go and check out this absolutely amazing book!

I loved the family dynamics and the storytelling from Pop Pop the family patriarch. The unending love and support he gave his family along with strong sound advice. Not always what they wanted to hear but what needed to be said.
Sunnie seemed to be the one he bonded with the most at least in this story. I would say due to her being his wife’s namesake. As well as, being the one who had endless patience only for family lore and pictures. Being that he got her to believe that there was a secret attached to the story of how her grandma got her name and in turn she got hers. Otherwise, it was always a squirrel moment.
Along for the ride during those moments where her older brother, Finn and his best friend, Landon. They have been friends since pre-school. Not always wanting the little feisty spitfire sister hanging around because boy bonding is important Pop Pop would share family lore. Then they thought her time was cool.
Now almost twenty years later she has been added to the best friend call list because Sunshine, as Landon calls her, is fun, lively, and just amazing to be around. On this night though the threesome turns bleak.
You see after two months of holding on to his thoughts they are at their family’s pub and Landon is telling them that his girlfriend of three years is moving to NY from Baltimore… To try out her acting there. He is thinking of following her. When Finn and Sunnie ask when he says, in about three weeks if he decides to go. They look at him like they have been betrayed and, in a way, they have because they have always all told each other everything. I mean everything.
Finn says he’s going to get a refill on the beer and Sunnie gets really, quiet. Not making eye contact with Landon. When he asks her opinion about the move, she says he must be hard up if he’s asking her of all people. Still not looking at him. He asks again. She says she could tell him what Pop Pop would say. That whatever decision he makes he needs to look as carefree and happy as Audrey looks for the first time tonight. You’ll make the right decision if you can do that.
He said that was, really, good advice. Then Finn was back at the table and they were back to normal, kind of. After a time, Audrey ends up leaving alone. Making the other half of the trio very happy.
Until a year later when Sunnie throws an April Fools day party. Landon gets drunk and she kisses him. The Kiss. But when Finn sees it he is not happy. He wants to know if he has been with his sister. Landon says, NO!
There are a lot of funny moments in this book. A lot of soul searching as far as should they be a couple since being best friends had worked so well and they don’t want to ruin it. But when a video gets out, they must fake it or so Landon says. Now the sex scenes they do have are intense, so you need to know. I really enjoyed this book because of the family interaction.
I give this: 5 ++++ stars. Provided by netgalley.com.

This story was adorable and the characters were so close this was a great feel good read. Sunnie Collins is afraid of love and she has been dating good looking losers for years, she figures at twenty five she working on her career not getting married. Landon has been friends with Finn Collins for most of his life and now with Sunnie his sister as she stopped being a pain. When Landon’s current girlfriend breaks his heart by moving to New York Finn and Sunnie try to cheer him up but when Sunnie and Landon share a kiss things begin to change. Sunnie is fighting any feelings she has for Landon as she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship but she doesn’t see what everyone else does.
Even though it’s the sixth book in the series it can be read as a standalone.
