I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and highly recommend it. You’ll enjoy the mystery, adventure, and romance you find. The book is well paced, and you won’t want to put it down.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A great romance story with a little hockey intertwined is a win for me, though I would have liked a little more hockey.

This was a sweet and sexy read!
I loved reading the chemistry grow between Jonah and Quinn.
It was so heartwarming to see Jonah get wrapped around Daisy’s little finger.
This book was great because Quinn was so real and it made it seem very relatable.
I also love this author so that was a plus ;)

A quick and dirty romance with a fun twist on the secret-baby trope! I loved Jonah and Quinn. A great addition to this hockey series by Cathryn Fox! Can't wait for the continuation with Zander!

I’m the NHL’s toughest enforcer, the Body Checker, and I earned that title the hard way. I’m all about the game, a no attachment, no strings kind of guy, so when a puck bunny shows up at my door, shoves a pink bundle into my hands and drives off into the sunset, it turns my world upside down. I’m not cut out to be a family man. I know nothing about babies and I’m the last guy who should be taking care of one. But I do know someone who is equipped for the job—Quinn Reed, my best friend’s kid sister. Problem is, she kind of…hates me.
This was an ok book. I’ve read this trope before. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I just really had a hard time with this one.

This was just not a story for me. The writing wasn't bad, it was just okay. Jonah is a NHL star, gets a baby dumped on him by it's mother, but never thinks "hey, maybe I should get a paternity test?". Yeah, no. He then starts to play house with Quinn, his best friend's sister. Their chemistry was good, but they rest of the story I just couldn't get behind. The ending with Shari was just horrible. That was not a good twist to the story, and it felt like it was just met with "oh well" from the characters. Not a realistic reaction at all. This was a first for me from this author, but I would be willing to read her again.

We have two best friends, Jonah and Zander, they’re hockey players and one young sister, Quinn. The guys have the usual fun, until Jonah is handed a surprise pink bundle from a puck bunny he had fun with just over a year ago, a baby girl, Daisy. He had no clue he was a father and didn’t know what to do so his friend calls his sister Quinn, she works in a day care so knows about babies. Quinn grew up with out her parents, her brother took care of them both from a young age, she knows what it’s like to be with out family so she’ll help out all she can so Jonah’s little girl is cared for properly.
Then her mother comes around wanting the baby back causing trouble, a fake relationship may be the only way to keep her at bay. But who are they trying to fool.
A sweet romance, full of emotion, lots of chemistry and hot sexual tension. It was a heart warming read as Jonah showed a different side to his character with Daisy and his fatherhood. And the stunning twist at the end is sure to bring gasps and smiles from any everyone.

Sports romance.. one of my favorite type of books and this one doesn’t disappoint. Loved it and enjoyed every minute of this one.

Good book with a sexy hockey player and his best friend's sister. It was sweet that a little bitty baby brought them together. Of course, the end was bittersweet.

If you can get past the action of a mother dropping her child on the baby daddy because she can't take the lack of sleep anymore.... This sexy romp is a part of the Players on Ice hockey series, and it definitely fits in the erotica category. The characters were a little thin, but the story was entertaining. It could be read as a stand alone. There is a lot of heat and an enjoyable story. I will read more of the series.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

This is my tenth hockey romance but the first one from this author. It is a part of a series, although it reads well as a standalone.
The protagonist Jonah Long is a tough hockey player, his team enforcer (hence the title). When one morning one of his flings turns up on his step and informs him that he is the father of this cute baby girl, he is shocked. After all, what does he know about babies? Jonah quickly realizes he needs help and even finds a suitable person for the job - Quinn Reed, his best friend's sister. Looking after Daisy means Jonah has to grow up and become more responsible and is there anything sexier than a man who can take care of those he loves?
Yes, some parts are a bit unrealistic (a mother who leaves a baby without having checked she is going to be alright in care of a playboy hockey player?) and predictable, but, overall, this is an enjoyable read with good couple chemistry.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kobo Writing Life for the ARC provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

The Body Checker kind of reminded me of that one show called, Baby Daddy. Mostly because I'm watching that show on Hulu right now. Unfortunately for me, I like the show a lot more than this book.

It was just okay. I wanted to like all of the characters but I just couldn't. They didn't wow me or anything. Jonah was okay, Quinn was eh as well. Nothing was spectacular and I feel like I was missing so many things with this book. Or at least this could've had more potential on delivery.

Again, it could just be me.

Other than all of that, it was enjoyable. Mostly because I finished it and it had hockey players. Oh, and Zander - loved him. I did, however, wish that I liked it a lot more than I originally did but I wouldn't mind re-reading it at a different time in my life (one where I wasn't so busy/swamped with work) to actually enjoy it. I might form a different opinion.

I love the personalities of the characters in this book. Although the lead was a typical single guy living up his life in the start he quickly transitioned to show his more caring loving side.
I did find the timeline of events quite unrealistic though, the quickness of the baby moving from one father to the next with seemingly no question didn't quite fit the first part of the storyline for me.

Quinn never had time for her brother’s best friend Jonah, until a tiny little girl named Daisy enters the picture. She still can’t tolerate him but would do anything to save Daisy from what she had to deal with as a child. Jonah is a hot hockey player and a play boy but when he gets a surprise one morning after a rough party, he realizes a few things, he needs to grow up and he needs help with his daughter.
The characters were likeable and the story line was a sport’s take on the surprise baby plot. I enjoyed the interactions between Jonah and Quinn. Recommended for an easy quick read afternoon read.

I received a free ARC copy for my honest opinion and voluntary review.

A sweet and steamy sports romance...Not a ton of hockey so no worries there ;) A best friends sister trope that works really well. Both characters are likable and make you smile.

I am typically a big fan of hockey romances but this one just did not do it for me. My main issue with this book is that there were some key plot points that were just completely unrealistic. I couldn’t get past it and this was almost a DNF for me. The one redeeming quality was the dual POV. All in all it was a less than okay read for me.

Oh My Goodness! This book broke my heart and sewed it back together again. It is absolutely heartwrenching and heartwarming at the same time I don't know how Cathryn does it. The relationship between Jonah and Quinn is complicated to say the least. Quinn is the little sister of Jonah's best friend. Which of course would break bro code but he's had a thing for her since she was 16. Quinn says she hates him only to hide the fact that she is secretly infatuated with him. Then in pops a baby Quinn was never told he had, who better to help this player take care of her than his forbidden. What could go wrong with them staying under one roof? Yes, I'm trying so hard not to ruin the end. But this book has so many twists and turns. You'll love every character except Daisy's mother. I hands down completely recommend you read this book! I finished it in one day! I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series.

I usually enjoy the sport romance books, this one was not for me. I just couldn't get into I found it slow at times and new that Quinn and Jonah were going to get together and the drama with the ex did nothing for me kind of turned me away.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance read, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

I liked this story, it was short and sweet, I would have liked it more without the ex drama, which I thought was a little over the top.. the twist was a little meh because the hero already was attached to the baby

I really enjoyed this story (part of a series but can be read as a standalone) Jonah has a very rude awakening one morning, after a night of partying, with a very different type of delivery. From that moment on everything changes for Jonah as he tries to navigate this new reality of fatherhood. Quinn, his best friends sister is there to help and guide him. It was great fun to read this book, I liked all the characters and the themes of family and support.
