She overshares on social media and is constantly finding herself in awkward situations with the new “friends” she is making. Who is monitoring the social media status of these people? And who is actually in danger?

What I Loved: The premise of the book. People share a lot on social media (🙋🏻‍♀️ guilty at times) and I like how some of the newer thrillers are using the current technology in their books. I even liked the ending. It was a good twist and it was well played.

What I did not love: The plot moved a bit slow. I almost gave up at 30% because I was beginning to wonder if anything was going to happen. But once it moved, it went by faster. Also, the amount of characters was unnecessary. There were two characters— Sarah and Caroline— who both had a little usefulness but it was the same usefulness to the plot. So honestly, only one of them was necessary.

Overall, this was more of a slow burn thriller/suspense. Would recommend for those who appreciate the slow 🔥!

Taylor and her husband, Jake, just moved from the USA to the UK for a fresh start. Jake’s busy with work, while Taylor stays at home, nearly 7-months pregnant. She spends her days online, interacting with other soon-to-be moms on Twitter and posting random selfies on Instagram. Jake recommends Taylor make some real friends so she joins a walking group at the local park.

That’s where Taylor meets Anna. She’s convinced Anna and her could be the best of friends. Not only is Anna also a former flight attendant, but she’s also pregnant, like Taylor. Taylor finally feels like she’s found a friend beyond the internet. And better yet, her new neighbor, Sarah, invites Taylor to join her book club. Taylor’s lonely life looks like it’s turning around. Maybe this fresh start will turn out to be a good thing after all.

But there’s someone watching their every moves online. Stalking them, figuring out where they live, who they interact with, their personal details. People like Taylor and Anna share everything online without thinking about the consequences. About who might be looking at their pages. And what they share online might be what puts them in danger.

The story alternates between the perspectives of lonely housewife, Taylor, and our sinister, unknown stalker. We know this story cannot end well, waiting for the other shoe to drop. But we don’t know who to trust. Taylor is clearly desperate for friendship, but are the people she surrounds herself with more harmful than she could’ve ever imagined? Were these people actually her friends or just strangers she made the mistake of trusting?

I Know You by Annabel Kantaria is a paranoia-filled psychological suspense, with a cast of highly flawed, unlikable characters. I kept teetering back and forth about whether or not Taylor is the antagonist, or if she’s innocent after all. This story left me questioning every character and their actions. I love an unreliable narrator and Taylor for the bill to a tee. I think the creepiest aspect of this book is the role of social media. How private are our lives truly when we are posting our personal lives online for everyone to see? Not a fast-paced thriller by any means, but an enjoyable psychological suspense nonetheless—4/5 stars.

Whilst this book was a little slow to start it certainly did not continue that way. I was gripped after the first couple of chapters and loved the twists. I really didn't see them coming which is brilliant as i would normally have guessed the twist. I would highly recommend this book and will be keeping an eye on this author.

Totally new fav author! Can’t get over how good it was!! Absolutely fans of B.A. Paris and Ruth Ware will love this!!

I Know You is the story of Taylor. She's a pregnant woman newly moved to England and lonely. She wants to make friends. This story is a lot about social media stalking. Someone could be stalking you right now. How would you know? It's scary how easy it is to learn everything about someone from social media. We get glimpses of the stalker,but most of the story is told by Taylor. It's a creepy thrilling story. It's got surprises in store. The characters are well developed and the story is engaging and well written. Let this story be a warning to be very mindful of what you post. I Know You was such a great read! Two lonely pregnant women become fast friends, and with the help of social media, let the stalking begin! I really waffled between the characters believing each character in turn was the stalker., based on cleverly written chapters interspersed throughout that tell the story from the stalkers POV. I was seriously surprised at the twist towards the end. I would deduct only 1/2 star if that were allowed, but have to deduct 1 star because although the narrator is supposed to be American, having only recently moved to England with her British husband, all of the dialogue is told in British voice and mannerism. It made it hard to reconcile her talk of the States and her move and was very distracting. One question left unanswered: What ever happened to Simon?

A fast, very addicting read for me. The vivid characters and enticing storyline makes you want to finish this book in one sitting, AND reconsider your social media habits.

This was good! It's told from Taylor's point-of-view, but every now and then we'd get a glimpse into the mind of a stalker. They want to ruin someone's life and they're using this person's social media as a weapon. Who is this person?! The author would feed us a little morsel of information and it drove me crazy, I couldn't stand not knowing what was going on! But to be honest, I enjoyed the book better when I had that suspense. It just wasn't the same when I got to the big reveal. It was clever, but I liked it better when I didn't know. I loved the suspense. Great characters. Definitely a page-turner that will remind you of the dangers of what you post on social media.

The most irritating books are those that aren’t well researched and/or assume the reader is dense. While the story itself is marginally entertaining, I found too many faults to enjoy the little unexpected drama I did find. First off, it is terribly difficult to believe that the narrator is American, as all of her dialogue is rife with British slang, and any “American-ness” is dismally absent. This indicates to me that the writer wasn’t proficient in her structure and research. Secondly, the plot mostly flounders about, with stereotypes for characters. The ending - abrupt, unsatisfying, weak. I was disappointed by this read. I received this ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Great book will be reading other books by this author.

Great read

"I Know You" caught me from the very beginning, & held on the end. It was 1 of those books where i picked it up whenever i had a few minutes & had to be dragged away!
A very pregnant Taylor & her husband (who she doesn't quite trust) have recently moved to London for a fresh start. Taylor is desperate to meet new friends & these friends become main characters in the story. The book is told mostly in first person narration (Taylor,) but there are scattered chapters written by an unknown obsessed stalker! It's more then the usual rantings though, this stalker is intelligent & diabolical! In fact, in my opinion this book is so good because of all of the characters. Each of them have been well thought, they're complicated and flawed and i genuinely enjoyed each of them. Another aspect i really appreciated is how current the book is. Social media is a recurring theme & the situations are completely realistic. & let me tell you, it's not something I'll be forgetting when i log on any time soon!
If you enjoy psychological thrillers, i absolutely recommend this 1! It's an easy, quick read.. There wasn't a single part that dragged, which happens to my personal pet peeve. It's not dark or gloomy, the ambience is just normal married life... But the twists keep coming & the ending was not at all what i expected! (& isn't that just the way it should be?! 🙂)

I loved reading this book! I Know You is a thrilling roller coaster ride that left me breathless and turning the pages until its explosive conclusion. Well plotted and very well-written, this novel is a must read for fans of the genre; especially if you're one of the millions of people who post personal images on social media and share tidbits of your day to day life. We really don't know who's watching us!

I found the protagonist, Taylor, the pregnant American wife living in London to placate her not-so-great husband to be realistic and quite relatable. Pregnancy really does color a woman's perspective, especially without the support of family and friends, and watching Taylor struggle to adapt to her new surroundings made me root for her from the first page to the last. There are lots of suspects in this mystery/thriller to choose from and all are interesting characters that lure us deeper into the drama. (Because I was drawn into the story, I was able to forgive the diction of the American heroine sounding exactly like her English acquaintances.) I thoroughly enjoyed reading I Know You by Annabel Kantaria and recommend adding it to your 2019 reading list. Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Loved this book - a quite scary reality check in this world of social media. Plenty of twists and turns, an entertaining read from start to finish. Great characters.

Taylor is new to the area. She and hubby Jake have moved from sunny California to England. Croydon no less. For a fresh start. To put the past in the past while they await the birth of their first child. Problem is, Jake is always traveling for work and desperate for company and making new friends Taylor joins a few meet up groups until she settles on a walking group. Even posts a picture to Instagram to let the world she’s #walking at #lloydpark That killer me. Also the other hashtags Taylor uses throughout the book had me laughing out loud. Kind of at her. #soblessed #babymoon.

Anyway, Taylor enjoys sharing with world and she must do if her privacy settings are public.

After meeting Anna in her walking group, and Simon too. Taylor soon starts to feel a sense of belonging even if that Simon is a bit creepy. He seems nice enough to Taylor. Not Anna though. She gives him a wide berth.

When Taylor joins a book club, she also invites Anna to join and are introduced to two more characters. Harmless enough. Or are the ladies at book club a bit much?

Taylor never imagined having her baby without Jake by her side but, as usual, Jake is traveling and Taylor’s early! Thank god for such a good friend that is Anna.

We all need friends. Careful, are they really friends? A good read!

This book seriously captured me from the first couple of pages! I LITERALLY devoured this book in just 2 days and that is only because I had to work, feed my kid and pay attention to my husband. I loved the way it was written. I felt that the MC was fresh and although I felt embarrassed for her at times for her actions and the way her husband acts toward her and her reaction to it I still really enjoyed her as a MC and the “support” characters were amazing as well.

This stalker book is a good reason why you should always be careful what you post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!!! Be aware!! Once it is out there…..I also think the social media aspect of the book was a big draw since there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t dip into one of these platforms.

I really enjoyed this book! Lots of twists and turns and it held my interest and I could barely put it down til the end. The only thing that
bothered me was the story was told from the perspective of an American who had just moved to England, but "she" used all sorts of British terms rather than American terms. The British terminology would have been fine when
quoting the Brits, but Taylor should have been using Americanisms.

I was completely absorbed and enthralled by this book. I was so eager to get to end even as I didn't want it to end.

Very pregnant Taylor has just moved to London from the States after patching her marriage back together with her unfaithful husband, Jake. She is eager to connect with others and joins a book club and a walking group. She makes four different friends; Caroline, Anna, Simon and Sarah, all a little nuts in their own way and each perhaps harboring their own secrets.

Taylor tells the story but there is another POV as well, the voice of a deliciously sadistic stalker who is hellbent on ruining the life of one of the other five and uses social media like a weapon to do so. But we don't know who the stalker is and we don't know their target.

This was a fast, fun, heart thumping read and I just had to find out who and why...and I was happy to be so surprised when I finally did.

What a thrilling ride! It really is one of those "unputdownable" novels - I read the entire book in two sittings.

The story revolves around Anna and Taylor, best friends, and their wierd social circle. There's Caroline, the rich, beautiful woman who they both love to hate. There's Sarah, the flirtatious one who seems out to steal Taylor's husband. And then there's Simon who has no life to speak of and cares for his housebound father.

And then there's the one who's watching - knowing their every move. Knowing their most intimate secrets.

I loved how the novel alternated between the current setting and the letters to be sent. This narrative keeps the reader engaged and guessing. Some of my assumptions about the characters turned out to be correct, but that was not a cause for disappointment. In fact, it just tied everything up nicely. The ending felt rushed though and that disappointed me.

It was an easy read, and definitely a psychological thriller I will recommend. And an author I would read again!

I absolutely loved this book and really got into the characters and the weird guy in the walking group. I hadn’t a clue what was going to happen but I wasn’t as thrilled with the second half but it’s still a great book . I would definitely recommend it
