NEWSFLASH! Breaking Cat News is one of my favorite cat-themed series, so I was super excited to get a copy of the new addition to the series. This time, Lupin, Puck, & Elvis take on new neighbors, an outdoor cat, and a new addition to the family. At the end are tips for drawing, other news affiliates (did you know there’s fish and bird news?), and paper dolls. As I read these, I like to imagine what updates my cats would have if they decided to do their own news show - Hera's segment might be a review of things she has found to pee on, and I definitely think they would be big fans of the wrestling and 3 am racing marathons the Breaking Cat News family host regularly.

NOTE: I received an ARC copy of this book on NetGalley. I received no incentive to read or review this book other than said copy of work. The review below contains my own thoughts and opinions. Special thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the free copy.

Our readers love Lupin. A combination of cats and comics is usually a winning combination, but these are especially fun.

Hilarious story for kids growing in their reading confidence. The characterful cats are great protagonists and kids will enjoy the section at the end with tutorials on how to draw the animals in the story!!

I'm not a cat lover, but I love Lupin and his friends who manage the Breaking Cat News program. A cat's view of human life. Very funny, good for all ages!

I was previously familiar with Elvis, Lupin, and Puck through Breaking Cat News in my local news paper, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I already knew I'd be in love with this book, but I read it anyways. I proved myself right.
Dunn's art is adorable and well-done, her unique style making the cats all the more lovable. This new take on the our cats perceive us is both relatable and humorous. This is a light read, one made merely for humor and the lighthearted fun. It does that job incredibly well.

I LOVED THIS COMIC! It was so cute! There are 3 cats, Lupin, Elvis, and Puck, who pretend/think they are news reporters and report on everyday occurrences in their household. They each have their own personalities (as cats do) and their own outfits to go with it. It is hilarious to hear about regular things like a laundry room or sink from a cat's point of view. Or at least what humans think cats are thinking... For example, in one scene the Humans set up baby gates and the cats think they are Olympic hurdles that need to be traversed. They put on their little exercise outfits and start climbing as one cat reports on the whole thing.

At the end of the book, there is also a section at the end that teaches you how to draw each of the cats and paper dolls that you could cut out and play with. Tons of fun and I highly recommend this!

I love Lupin Leaps In! I'm an avid reader of Georgia Dunn's daily Breaking Cat News. The strips follow the daily life of a family as told through their news-reporting cats. Cantankerous Elvis, sweet, steady Puck, and intrepid, adventurous Lupin give a cat's eye view of the going's on in the big pink house. While some strips are individual daily strips, there are entire story arcs with growth, warmth, and new characters.

I recommended this book to our children's librarian in because while it is a great family book suitable for all ages, the tips and tutorials on following your dreams to become an artist/illustrator would be great for kids. The paper dolls at the back would also make a great kids' department activity.

This was just the cutest book ever! I loved the cat reporter concept and each cat's narrative was funny and adorable. I loved the illustrations, I loved the comics, I loved all the cats, and the paper dolls at the back were creative. The only downside to this book was when politics were brought into the mix.
Overall I loved almost everything in this book and I would definitely read it again.

'Lupin Leaps In: A Breaking Cat News Adventure' by Georgia Dunn is a collection of more hilarity from the cats of Breaking Cat News.

Elvis, Puck and Lupin are house cats who observe all the happenings in their house and report it. From a baby learning to walk to holidays like Halloween. When the people buy a bird feeder ("bird magnet"), the cats are fascinated by it. The annoying cat outside even gets a storyline when Elvis ends up outside with him.

This is a fun comic. The cats do hilariously dumb things that cats do in real life. It's all good enough for any age readers. It includes drawing lessons to make your own animal reporters, and there are even paper dolls of these cats.

Lupin, Puck and Elvis are back with their breaking news on the events in their households. They report on the ceiling cats, the toddler, the holiday celebrations, the new baby and more. So many situations cat lovers will identify with like cats sitting on books and more. A fun read.

Thank you, Andrews McMeel and NetGalley for a digital ARC of this entertaining new graphic novel.

A collection of Breaking Cat News comics that look at both daily household events, holiday events, seasonal events, and noteworthy (to cats) incidents from the perspective of three house cats who live with a man, a woman, a baby/toddler, and then another baby.

Many of these comics are quite funny for the oh-so-believable cat perspective (my favorite was the annual gourd sacrifice report and there are way too many options for me to choose a 2nd favorite). Definitely recommended for cat lovers and readers who appreciate how a unique perspective on the ordinary can make it humorous. Also a good pick for those looking for a comic that will appeal to a wide age range of readers (I’d say middle grade on up to adult should get the humor, but even advanced lower grade readers should find it approachable).

Notes on content [Based on ARC]: No content issues.

Oh my! This is absolutely adorable! From the illustrations to the hilarious newscasting the cats Elvis, Puck, and Lupin do will definitely make you laugh! In the beginning, I was hesitant to check this out because basing from the front cover, I thought that it is just a silly children's book. I also found the first several pages to be weird but the funny tales started from the third comic story onwards.

The adventures and comical banter of the cats in this graphic novel will absolutely give pure delight even if you are not a cat-person like me. It is a recommended read for middle-grades, older readers, and especially those who have pets on their own because I'm quite sure that they will think of their furry friends while reading this.

This book was humorous but the naive quality of the illustrations made the story hard to enjoy. I love a silly animal book, particularly one starring a cat. But, it was hard to get into this one. I was fairly disappointed with the overall feel of the book and the delivery. Probably a pass for most people.

This is a cute book. I think the little ones in my life would enjoy this. If it is animal related it’s usually a plus!

Funny cat comics? COUNT ME IN!

Georgia Dunn brings us funny strip comics stories about three cats, Elvis, Lupin and Puck, as they bring the news of their household in tv-news show! Lupin is our anchor-cat, Puck and Elvis are our reporters who are always ready to go live to bring the news about the weather outside, the accident that brought a whole pack of cat food on the ground as well as tales of their humans! Woman, man, Toddler and Baby!

With funny colourful comics, it's a easy and fun read that I just loved to follow through in one sitting! I actually need more, and actually need to follow the end instruction to go and make my two dogs in this style like they teach in the "More to Explore".
