While thinking I was just getting to the end of a trilogy that had quite a few loose ends, I was so excited by the plot twist and am eagerly anticipating yet another chapter in the saga of Hudson Falls.

While a little predictable with the plot, the book is still an enjoyable read as you move through Allie's life. I loved seeing her fierce devotion to her daughter Nikki, her confidence in her artistic abilities grow, and her romance with Ben blossom. I do feel, however, that her alcoholic tendencies/addiction could have played a little more of a role - perhaps a backslide? Unfortunately, so many people face these cravings each and every day and don't have the willl power like she did to fight the cravings.

This is the third book in the series, but I hope there will be another one. This series is heartwarming, beautiful and just warms the soul. Des, Cara and Allie are new found sisters when they discovered their father had two wives! When he died, his will stipulated that they had to live together and restore the Sugarhouse Threatre in order to have their inheritance. The first two books concentrate on Cara and Des and this one spotlights Allie. Allie is divorced with a 15 year old daughter and is a bitter, prissy diva, developing an alcohol problem, when she arrives from California to work with her sisters in Pennsylvania. But as she bonds with her sisters, and her Aunt Barney and sees the positive change in attitude in her daughter, she becomes lighter, more open and happier.Delightful!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I thought this was only going to be a trilogy but I may be wrong. A fourth book revolving around Tess would be very interesting. If this was the end of the series it did a great job tying up loose ends. I enjoyed this series very much and hope it does not end.

This is the third book in the series where the Hudson sisters are brought together after their father's death, and have the task of restoring the old theater in town before earning their inheritance. I love picturing the details of the theater and can easily lose myself in the story. In this book, their Aunt also buys the Goodbye Cafe in town when the owner needs to sell and move town. The ladies take charge and don't shy away from another challenge. This book focuses more on Allie's life with her daughter Nikki. It feels like there may be another book coming in the series!

This is the third, book in the Hudson Sister trilogy. It is about sisters having to find each other and live together before they can claim their inheritance. This story is about sisterly relationships and family. I loved the characters and the settings. This is a book I can recommend to all of my romance readers

I really enjoy this series by Mariah Stewart. It was nice to delve into Allie's character a little bit more. While this series is somewhat predictable, I like the family dynamics between the sisters. And the author definitely left me wanting more with that revelation. :-)

4.5 stars! The Goodbye Cafe is the third book in the Hudson Sisters series. I suppose you could read it as a stand alone but you’d miss out on a lot of context so I recommend reading books one and two first. The Goodbye Cafe is Allie’s story. She’s been the hard-edged, abrasive sister who seemed determined to not gain any sympathy from anyone. She’s a complex character and we finally get to see what’s beyond the emotional armor she wears when dealing with almost everyone. I enjoyed her story and seeing her strength of character become apparent to all. If you enjoy novels about family – sisters, specifically – you’ll want to read this book and the rest of the series. I’m hopeful there will be another book!

This is book 3 of the Hudson Sisters series but it could stand alone. The sisters are restoring an old theatre. Their Father stipulated in his will that they had to restore the theatre and live together in the family home until it’s done. If one of them chooses to leave they all lose their inheritance. The theatre is almost done and during the process the sisters have become close.

This is a story about new love, new beginnings and family. I have enjoyed all the books in the series. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

So, so freaking good. I love everything about this series. Hidden Falls is a fabulous town with fabulous people. I'm super happy with the way Allie and Ben's love story played out. Slow and sweet. The descriptions of the theater and Hidden Falls themselves made me feel like I was a resident. Nikki's character is an awesome kid who I can picture growing into a kindhearted adult. I thought this would just be a trilogy but it looks like there may be another book involving Tess.

Allie, Des, and Cara are in the homestretch of their renovations of the Sugarhouse Theatre, which their father left to them as part of the stipulations on receiving their inheritance. At the outset, Allie couldn't wait to leave Hidden Falls, but now the relationships she has forged with her lost sisters and the aunt she never knew, as well as this wonderful summer with her daughter have changed her. There are also those not to be missed skirmishes Chief of Police, Ben. Allie has begun to find herself, and she now has to decide who she is going to be when this summer ends, the old Allie, or the new.

This series is about three sisters finding each other and being forced to restore an old theater in order to get their father’s inheritance. They have each gone through loss and betrayal prior to coming together in Hidden Falls, Pennsylvania. They meet long lost family, enjoy small town life and find love. The Goodbye Café is Allie’s story. Allie was the sister who needed the most personal growth, so her book was the last.

There is a lot of time spent on Allie’s growth through the theater rehab and her working at the local café. The interactions between Allie and her daughter Nikki were authentic and relatable.

In the other two books, much time was spent on the growing romantic relationships between Cara/Joe and Des/Seth. Allie’s romantic interest, Ben, has a dark history and that could have been developed more in this book. I missed the romance that was in the earlier books. After reading the first two books, I was most looking forward to Allie and Ben’s story. I wanted more.

Also as an aside, the book covers for the first two books made more sense to me. Cara in front of an old theater. Des with a rescue dog in a meadow. But Allie on a boat?

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

A divorce has left Allie bankrupt and unable to pay for her home or her daughter’s expensive private school. She reluctantly leaves California to head back home, re-connecting with her sister Des and Cara, a woman who turns out to be Allie’s half sister. They are all involved with renovating the local Sugarhouse Theater, a project near and dear to her father’s heart. But when the renovations are complete will Allie still crave California living, or will she have decided that being close to her family and community are more important? This is a sweetly nostalgic book, the kind Stewart is famous for, and her fans will be delighted
