This book had a great love story. Two people fighting to find out who they are, find each other and the sparks are undeniable. Walker is learning to live with his demons, when a spunky half French woman walks into his life and gives him the kiss of his life. They try to just be friends, but the chemistry is to much to deny. I loved both Violet and Walker and their families. Plus you can't forget Walkers Aunts attack chicken. I loved the depth of the characters and the book had a great flow. This was the first book I have read in this series but I will be reading the other books because I have to know how Walkers brothers got their wives. I definitely recommend this book, especially if you like a romance with heart and storylines with personal struggles

A.J. Fine has a way of weaving a tale and taking you in from the start. This time it is the complexity of someone who is attracted to someone who is involved with the substance they should avoid at all costs.
We have a false relationship which develops into something real. Pine does it justice.

Walker is the youngest of the Everett clan and he brings the cuteness, sexiness and the mischievousness known to the youngest of boy siblings. When life keeps knocking him down and feels that everyone is against him is the exact moment he is steamrolled by the lovely Violet (that is said in her mother's French to be beautiful as I imagine Camille saying it). Violet has her own personal struggles and has changes her life completely. The thing is, these two were put on a path in life they didn't want and didn't plan and that's exactly when they found each other. While the road of life isn't without its share of potholes, Walker and Violet navigate together to enjoy the 94 minutes of peace, the loud singing and the love of a good ride.

When one drunken night goes too far and a brother that has had enough, Walker knows that he has hit rock bottom. Now he has to just survive sobriety. When Violet literally steam rolls her way into his life he just goes with it. What started as a fake relationship turns to more, he has to navigate his way through foreign territory. I loved this book. Walker and Violet are polar opposites but somehow they make it work. A.J. Pine did a phenomenal job with this book and I'm ready for more.

A.J Pine "Hard Loving Cowboy" was a wholesome, heartwarming tale about opposites-attract that started off with a kiss. There was just something unique about this series that made it impossible not to finish it in one sitting. The way the author was able to mesh the characters together and not rush their bubbling relationship and pending romance won me over, and it was towards the end when they admitted their feelings for each other. I immediately loved the lead characters Walker and Violet. One hand you have a recovering alcoholic and another, the smart wine expert that dropped everything to help her aiding mother. Overall, a delightful read that left me wanting more.

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I selected this book based on the cover and the maybe a little because of the description, but the author and publisher are new to me. I’ve just got to say that I REALLY LIKED this book!!! It kept me coming back for more and I found myself looking for other books in this series as soon as it was over.

I fell in love with Walker and this author wrote such a descriptive story I could picture the entire “movie” play out in my mind!

Awesome!

Violet is just seriously too cute, “thank you, by the way, for putting your shirt back on. Not that I didn’t like what I saw— or felt— and ohmygod I should not even be commenting on your bare torso, but the whole being clothed thing is making it slightly easier to look you in the eye.” Walker has a fiesty one on his hands, "She crossed her arms, leash still in hand. “That’s how you greet a girl after not seeing her for four days?” He took a step closer , not forgetting that he was wearing a hell of a lot less clothing than she was." Walker sometimes has to give his girl a little coaxing, “then kiss me already, Teach. What the hell are you waiting for?” I liked this book, I loved Walker and Violet.

HARD LIVING COWBOY by A. J. Pine is a thoughtful, sweet and fun story. I loved the characters and the way Vi and Walker meet! I could totally understand how being with Vi was such a refreshing change for Walker. Someone who didn't know any of his past exploits. I was glued to this story to the end!

I really like this series and, while this may not have been my favorite installment, this book was still a pleasant read. I liked Walker immediately. He is a goodhearted cowboy who is trying to change for the better and stop being the black sheep of his family. It is not easy and he doubts those around him as well as himself. Violet drove me nuts at first. She was a little too much in the beginning and while Walker found her charming from the start, I just wished she would tone it down. Their first car ride together would have been my nightmare. Luckily she did grow on me and I learned to appreciate her strengths. What the two of them are facing individually were compelling situations. I just never fell into the flow of the story. Parts of it seemed to drag to me and I think it could have been shorter but extra time with a sweet cowboy is never really a bad thing.

This series has been a wonderful one, and Hard Loving Cowboy is a fantastic conclusion to it. (Although, surely Jenna should get a HEA?!)

The writing is smart, engaging and witty, the characters incredibly easy to root for, and the story one that was a well-balanced blend of banter, sweetness, heartache and heat. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect of Walker, given his role in the Everett family, but I was just as charmé by him as I was by his brothers—and the sheriff. And as far as Violet goes, she was an absolutely delightful heroine.

Cowboys are my favorite kind of hero, and here Ms. Pine demonstrates (with the perfect amount of swoon) exactly why that’s so. I can’t wait for her next series.
