Very cute little story. I love the drawings. I love that there is a little bit of rhyming but all of the book doesn't rhyme.

Little lion wants to know what her daddies favorite sound is. She makes several sounds and asks if they are his favorite sound. At the end, when little lion says "I love you" to her daddy she finds out that, that is his favorite sound. In the back of the book, you will find prayer, questions to ask your child and activity to make maracas with your child.

Adorable message! The build up is a fun way to engage the little ones in guessing “what is the sound?” I think it helps tap into their imagination. The accompanying illustrations are vivid and colorful. Well done.

I loved the repetition in this book, the illustrations were bright, fun and well detailed. The religious elements were a bonus and fit in well with the storyline. Highly recommend. Would make a perfect bedtime story!

The children's book, Daddy's Favorite Sound, is very cute. The story is of a little lion trying to guess her daddy's favorite sound. She guesses everything from a car horn to the wind to gargling mouthwash. None are daddy's favorite sound.

Little ones will love the sounds that the reader will have to make in order to guess daddy's favorite sound. You can also make it a guessing game for them to think about what that favorite sound just might be.

This is listed as religious fiction, but the story does not have any religious themes. Rather, at the end of the book, there is a discussion of a Bible quote, a short prayer and some questions to talk over with your child. There is also an activity page to make maracas.

Overall, this was very cute and would recommend for kids 3-5 years old.
