I love the concept of farm to table and this series captures all of it in one great series.
Annie is a great character and she plays an excellent role in this story.

One Potato, Two Potato, Dead is the third book in Lynn Cahoon’s Farm-to-Fork Mystery Series. The well-developed characters are fun and amiable, and the story flows smoothly at a steady pace. The story has a nice mix of intriguing mystery, investigating, daily life, friendship, and family. The mystery is interesting and kept me guessing until the end.

When Angie Turner’s grandmother, Margaret, passed, Angie inherited her farmhouse in River Vista, Idaho and adopted Dom, a St. Bernard. Angie and her best friend, Felicia Williams, opened The County Seat, a farm-to-table restaurant. Angie is the head chef and in charge of the kitchen staff and Felicia, who lives in the apartment above the restaurant, is in charge of the front of the restaurant, the servers, and bar. They have a great staff that feels like family and the restaurant is doing well. Angie’s dating Ian McNeal, the owner/manager of the River Vista Farmers’ Market and an organizer and activist for the community. Angie, Ian, and her staff volunteered to cook and serve a meal at a homeless shelter in Boise run by Felicity’s new boyfriend, Taylor Simpson. They’re introduced to Daniel Monet, a visiting culinary professor from Canada. Ian, who never discusses his past, recognizes Daniel as a childhood friend, Arnie Manner, from England, but Daniel says Ian is mistaken. Angie is quite miffed when Ian suddenly leaves for England without any explanation. After Professor Monet is found murdered in his apartment, Hope Anderson, Angie’s part-time dishwasher/chef-in-training, who had given him a ride home from the shelter, is questioned as a possible suspect, Estebe Blackstone, the sous chef, asks his cousin to represent her, and Angie applies her detective skills to solve the case. Angie, who often places herself in dangerous situations without realizing it, learns that Daniel hadn’t been well liked by his peers, is a player, and seems to have been a ghost prior to his arrival in Boise. Sheriff Allen Brown, Ian’s uncle, isn’t happy when Angie starts asking questions in her attempt to identify the murderer and clear Hope’s name.

The third book of the Farm to Fork series finds Angie and her restaurant staff helping to serve a meal at the River Vista mission. There, Annie and Hope, her trainer meet Daniel Monet, a visiting culinary instructor who is later found dead. Ian thought he recognized him under another name and leaves for England without telling Angie that he is going. Hope's fingerprints are found at the MURDER scene and she becomes a person of interest in the Monet's death. Sheriff Brown refuses to the Angie any information on his nephew, Ian and invited Angie to Sunday dinner at his home. The goat, and then that Angie adopted are still around and St. Bernard, Dom had almost reached his height and can reach items on the cabinets.
Felicity new boyfriend is running a homeless shelter in the area and expects her to be his assistant at all time causing problems at the County Seat restaurant. Hope might be arrested if no other suspect is located. I highly recommend this book and series.
Recipes are included.

I really enjoy this series. Angie and Felicia are strong independent women running a restaurant in Idaho, outside of Boise, called the County Seat.

When I saw this book on Netgalley, I knew I needed to read this based on the description and author. It didn’t hurt that the cover is adorable.

The characters are well-developed and strong but believable, relatable, and not overbearing. I liked that the story had a lot of angles in it. We learn a little about running a mission- a lot of work. We learn a little more about the people of the town. I enjoyed disliking the professor’s wife and Taylor. Taylor was a jerk! She hit the right notes of discord from the very beginning.

Thank-you Ms Cahoon and the Kensington staff for offering this book. This may be read as a standalone book.

Thanks to the author, Netgalley and Kensington Books – Lyrical Underground for the opportunity to read and review this book. These are my own opinions.

I enjoyed this book mostly. It a typical cozy mystery, well-paced, although there were parts that dragged or didn't really push the story along. I would recommend it. #OnePotatoTwoPotatoDead #NetGalley

I just adore this series by Lynn Cahoon. It's my favorite of all the one's she writes and this one was by far the best. I loved the way the characters seemed to grow and mesh with each other. The story had a little bit of a slow start but once it took off it soared.
A real page turner for sure.

The County Seat is Angie and her BFF, Felicity's farm to table restaurant. In the town of River Vista, Idaho. Using locally sourced ingredients their twists on recipes will have you wishing you were there.

Angie and boyfriend, Ian, have agreed to help cook and serve at a local mission, along with Hope, her chef-in-training they are giving the homeless a good home cooked meal. This is where Angie meets Daniel Monet. Daniel is also one of Hope's professors and in a weird twist he is also someone Ian knew from England only not by the name is using now.

But when he turns up dead, by poisoning from a wine glass with Hope's prints on it, Angie will go into overdrive to find out just who this phony really is and who really killed him.

This is turning into one of my favorites. I read all of her other cozy series and the things I love about this one are the characters. They are so well done that I wouldn't be surprised to meet up with them if I dropped in to town. And of course we can't forget the food. I would happily be a taste tester for Angie! I've already tried the recipe at the end and it was delicious.

Very Well Done!

Fall is descending on River Vista, Idaho and the team at the County Line restaurant is working on their upcoming menu changes to reflect the local harvest availability. Angie, her business partner and BFF Felicia and their restaurant family are seeing the hard work pay off as the business grows.

As a means to give back, the team volunteers to cook dinner at a local men’s shelter run by Felicia’s boyfriend. College intern, Hope, is surprised when her hot professor joins them for the evening. Turns how the professor may not be who he says he is when Angie’s boyfriend, Ian, recognizes him and calls him by an entirely different name.

In the morning the visiting professor is found murdered and Hope is on the suspect list after joining the professor at is home after dropping him off. But Angie and the team know that Hope would never hurt anyone and end up not only trying to clear her name, but having to protect her.

I love this series and the characters. The restaurant theme is delicious and I enjoy how the author brings Angie’s creativity to life on the pages as she plans menus, tweaks recipes, and solves murders. Lynn Cahoon is one my must read authors and I enjoy all of her series! If you haven’t read any books by this author, what are you waiting for? You won’t regret any of her books!

In this 3rd book in the Farm-to-Fork Mystery series, a visiting professor dies under mysterious circumstances.

Angie runs a restaurant with her best friend and partner, Felicity, in their hometown in Idaho. Angie and her staff have volunteered to cook meals at a homeless shelter. They are helping Felicity's boyfriend, Taylor, who runs the shelter. There, Angie meets Daniel Monet, Hope's college professor who is visiting from Canada. Hope is one of Angie's employees; she also takes classes at a culinary school.
Angie's boyfriend, Ian, seems to recognize Daniel as someone from his past, but under a different name. After their meet, Daniel winds up dead in his home and now Hope's the prime suspect. Soon after, Ian suddenly leaves for England without so much as an explanation. Angie decides to look into the case to find out who the real killer is and reveal Daniel's true identity.

I enjoyed this book. The mystery was well written and interspersed with mouthwatering food descriptions. The plot had me guessing. The characters were interesting and I enjoyed reading about Angie's new recipes for her restaurant, County Seat. Overall, I found this book an engaging read and I look forward to reading more of this series. Recommend to anyone looking for a cozy mystery read.

Lynn Cahoon has crafted another winning cozy mystery. It's filled with good friends, good food, a compelling plot and also gives you an inside look at the ins and outs of running a restaurant. Angie and her best friend Felicity have opened The County Seat, a restaurant in River Vista, Idaho. They are helping Felicity's boyfriend by cooking a meal at a local shelter when Daniel,a college professor who teaches Hope, one of the County Seat's employees. Angie's boyfriend Ian seems to know Daniel as someone else, and when Daniel is killed and Hope appears to be a suspect, and then Ian leaves to go back to England, Angie begins to investigate to find out who the actual killer was as well as what secrets Daniel was hiding. The plot had me hooked from the very beginning and kept me guessing all the way through. I enjoyed this book and hope to read more of this series in the future.
