Danielle steel works her magic with this family drama as we embark on a journey about loss and forgiveness. While I wouldn't say this was her best novel, it does tell a poignant story perfect for those who can relate to being in a fiercely loving, imperfect family.

I absolutely loved this! I felt so bad for the main character who had loss and after loss after loss. Danielle Steel has a way to grip me from beginning to end in every book.

I have read Danielle Steel books for many years, and some I like a whole lot more than others. Blessings in Disguise delivered an emotional story with all the aspects of an "original" DS book. I loved the characters and I was satifyed with the story.

Every Danielle Steel book shares the same excellent writing and character development. She pulls us out of our everyday lives and gives us romance and challenges that have a happy ending, or at least a satisfying one. This one centers around a woman who is raising her three daughters alone while still enjoying her life, no matter the problems faced daily by a family of women alone. They are a solid family who takes care of each other, a rarity in the real world. As always, any book written by Danielle Steel will take you away from your everyday for awhile. That's one of the best recommendations any book can have.

This second Steel book that I read was drastically different from the first I read and absolutely loved that! I was afraid they were would be very similar, but it did not turn out that way. I loved the women main characters and their individual stories. Definitely recommend.

(Side note) Since I am new to Danielle Steel books, the view I had of her books were they were "sappy" romances and I am thrilled to see that are definitely not.

As always, Danielle Steel doesn't fail to knock it out of the park! This heart-warming story is sure to end up on many incredible reads lists and is sure to be a hit. Through navigating the relationships of the lives of these characters, we are taken on a beautiful journey filled with many ups and downs covering a wide range of the spectrum of the bond between those we love most. I recommend this story to the fullest!

It has been a while since I read this author’s books and this one just didn’t seem up to standard for Ms. Steel. It was difficult for me to get into the plot and connect with the characters. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my digital arc. This is my unbiased review.

Light Summer read about a family of all women. Some of the story line was unrealistic and didn't seem plausible in my opinion.

I received an advance copy of this book through NetGalley. I am and have been a huge Danielle Steel fan for a very long time and have read all of her books. Blessing in Disguise is true Steel and is a great story. The story details the life of Isabelle McAvoy, a young art intern. She meets a very wealthy man Putnam Armstrong and develops a relationship with him. She finds herself pregnant but marriage is out of the question. Alone with a young daughter and back in New York, Isabelle meets a very charismatic man and marries him, only to find out that he is not who she thought he was. She again finds herself alone and pregnant. With two young daughters and no husband, Isabelle finally finds happiness and a love that gives her a third child, a baby as happy as her beloved father. But then life takes a dramatic turn. Isabelle's daughters grow to be very different women whose relationship with their mother is just as unique as they are. Isabelle finally reveals a very closely guarded secret to her daughters and rediscovers herself and a new love in the process. Great Danielle Steel book and I would recommend it totally.

Blessing in Disguise is a wonderful and deeply touching book about a mother and her relationship with her three daughters. Each of her daughters were fathered by different men, and each of the daughters have totally different personalities and grew up to be as different as could be. Danielle Steel weaves such a beautiful and captivating story about the mothers devotion to each of her daughters and their families. This book was just soon beautiful and touching.... truly a story that every mother and daughter should read.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Random House for providing me with an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for my review.

3.5 Stars
I haven't read Danielle Steele in a few years. I did enjoy it and right away it "felt" like a DS novel. Lots of tragedy and was a tad too predictable but it always ends nice and tidy.
Not her best but still an enjoyable read.

I have to say, I was immediately drawn into this book! I love all Danielle Steel and this is just another great one to add to her list. I really enjoyed reading this one and felt like I was on a life journey with Isabelle.

Isabelle McAvoy is a young lady that we get to go along on a ride with in this story. Isabelle has three daughters, all by three different father's. When we first meet Isabelle she is working abroad at a museum in Paris for the summer. Isabelle meets Putnam, a reclusive millionaire that enjoys his artwork but enjoys having Isabelle come to show him artwork pieces that he is interested in buying even more. When Putnam keeps requesting Isabelle to bring him pieces to look at, the bond between them quickly turns into something besides just friends. When it is time for Isabelle to return to the states she quickly learns that Putnam has left her with something more than just memories, Isabelle is pregnant as well.

At first Putnam is not interested in having a child, but quickly comes around and when Isabelle and Theo go to visit him for the first time, he knows that he is going to do everything within his power to take good care of Theo and set her up for life. Putnam quickly became one of my favorite characters. Theo and Isabelle go to visit Putnam each year for a month. That is about all the time that Putnam can handle with them because of his past and reclusive behavior.

Isabelle soon meets a jerk of a man that is a conartist and a good one at that. He talks Isabelle into getting married and gets her pregnant on their honeymoon. He ends up getting arrested and is put in jail. Isabelle quickly decides that she is done with men and focuses on raising her two daughters at the time and managing a career.

Isabelle never expects to fall in love again until she meets Declan. Declan is made aware of Isabelle's past and know that he is going to have to work twice as hard to win Isabelle over. Declan is a very good man and knows how to treat a woman. He has a huge heart and that is what ends up getting him killed in the end. Once again Isabelle is left pregnant and alone to raise her daughters.

Isabelle does a fine job of raising her daughters and they have grown up to be fine young women but with very different personalities. Isabelle attributes this to having different fathers. We get to follow Isabelle from her early twenties to her well into her sixties. When certain life events begin to happen, Isabelle realizes that she wants to spend more time with her daughters and enjoy life all the more. Isabelle hires an assistant to help her with her business and what transpires between them is something special.

This was a great read and I think that this is a good reminder that we need to value what is important in life and not get caught up in the everyday things. I am looking forward to more from Danielle Steel as always. She is one author that I can always read and enjoy no matter what.

All opinions are my own. Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book!
