The typical Danielle Steel novel. I have loved almost all of her books, and I loved this one! I love how she draws you into the story. I am not disappointed in this book at all!

I lived a troubling, yet amazing, life through this book! I felt a part of it. I cried, I smiled and felt 100% satisfied at the end. Pure Danielle Steel greatness once again. Book provided by NetGalley.

This is a book that I read in one evening, I could not put it down. Isabelle has three daughters, all by different men. Two of whom she was married to, but she ended up raising the three girls by herself when her second husband died. Each girl is very different from each other and went their own ways as adults, until a crisis brings them back together.

This is a well written book that pulled me from the very first chapter. Isabelle is a very strong independent woman that has done well for herself. Loved how the daughters were so different from each other but came together when needed. I highly recommend this book.

An unusual premise of three children with three different fathers--this novel is about exploring the relationships between mothers and daughters, having faith and learning to emerge stronger from life experiences. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to have read this title prior to publication---I totally enjoyed and loved every word!

This book had a realness that I could easily identify with when it comes to family and being open and honest with those you love despite it being insurmountable at times. Three sisters who differed drastically in personality and pursuits yet all had the calm strength that was the mother. And Jack was the ultimate blessing in disguise.

In the past I read everything Danielle Steele wrote as soon as I could, but for some reason I stopped and had not read much in many years until I received this ARC from Netgalley and Delcirte Press in exchange for an honest review. I felt like this book was so matter-of-fact. Conversations, incidents, everything was just so dry without any emotion or life to them. There were great characters, or they could have been if they had any warmth or feeling to the way I read them. I remembered more and expected more to be honest. The premise was good, the story could have been beautiful, but it just fell. very flat to me.

As usual, Danielle Steel doesn’t disappoint. This one had more twists and turns than her typical style and I really enjoyed the change!

Blessing in Disguise takes the reader through the journey of Isabelle’s life and those of her children. She faces numerous challenges over the decades and faces them with courage. An uplifting story even through the most difficult of circumstances.

It is hard to imagine someone going through this much mental pain in one life time. I did have problems with her having so many kids with so many different guys, just a personal thing that bothers me. I wondered how it could have a happy ending but felt that the author did a good job of tying everything up and coming out with a good ending

Thank you to Net Galley for the opportunity to read a Danielle Steel book as she is one of my favorite authors.
I found this book to be very intense for a Danielle Steel book .
The adversity the protagonist had to endure was overwhelming at times but just shows you what a strong Woman is made of.
A definite emotional roller coaster read.
I'm so happy that Danielle Steel books are one of my guilty pleasures!

This book is exactly why I love Danielle Steel - great characters, easy to follow storyline, predicable pattern, easy read. Two days of off and on reading and I'm done with a book that leaves me happy and content and in exactly the place I expect to be. I loved all the characters - Isabelle, her children, peripheral characters. This book is exactly why I started reading Danielle Steel SO many years ago, and why I'm glad I found my way back to her books recently. This one is one of my favorites from Ms. Steel.

This was your typical Danielle Steel novel. Heroine with relationship issues? Check. Tragedies? Check. Trite romantic language and physics descriptions? Check. A trip to Paris? Check.

The story was enjoyable and was well-paced. Characters were not incredibly complex, but one doesn’t read a Danielle Steel novel for literary stimulation. Definitely worth a read while sitting on a beach with a cold drink in hand.

An exploration of a woman's life with 3 different fathers of 3 different children. Not a usual type of story and not extremely likely, but Danielle Steel knows how to write a book that keeps you believing and keeps you interested! I love her books and this one is no different. Easy to read, interesting, likely to make you shed a few tears! Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy.

Danielle Steel never disappoints! Such a wonderful story of a young girl growing into a woman and the love and loss she experiences. I think what I love best about this normal is all the places that Danielle Steel takes up and the details that she uses to describe them, I almost feel like I have traveled the world after reading this book. Love, loss, heartache, illness, and relationships. This book has it all!

When I pick up a Danielle Steel novel, I know I'm not going to get high-quality, award-winning prose. But I can always count on her to tell a decent story, and this new novel is no exception. In fact, it might be one of the more interesting tales she's released recently. While most people associate Steel with romance novels, most of her books seem to deal more with family dynamics than with love stories.

The book begins when Isabelle is a college student with an interest in art. While she's pursuing her education, she falls in love with a reclusive, older man named Putnam. Even though Putnam loves Isabelle, he knows he can't commit to marrying her, even when she becomes pregnant. Isabelle is left to raise her daughter alone. Then she gets involved in another disastrous relationship, and finds herself pregnant again. Do you sense a pattern?

Eventually, Isabelle has three daughters, all with different fathers. But unbeknownst to her children, she has a deep secret from her high school years that she has never shared with any of them. I won't spoil that surprise, but once you learn what she's been hiding, it makes complete sense in light the pattern of her past relationships.

I enjoyed getting to know Isabelle and her very different daughters. This is a fast-moving story that will appeal to people searching for a light read. Don't pick this up expecting great literature. But sometimes we all need to indulge in a little fluff.

Blessing in Disguise by Danielle Steel takes readers from Newport, Rhode Island to Paris to New York. Isabelle McAvoy was raised by her curator father in Newport, Rhode Island on a Vanderbilt estate where she came to appreciate fine art. Isabelle majors in art history at New York University and gets the opportunity to spend her junior year at the Sorbonne. That summer Isabelle interns at the Verbiel Gallery where she encounters Putnam Armstrong, an art collector with a chateau in Normandy. In November, Isabelle finds herself pregnant, but she knows marriage is not on the table for Putnam nor is living with him. Isabelle has a daughter and begins work at Acker Johnson in New York. A few years later, she meets Collin Stone, an art consultant from California. Unfortunately, Isabelle once again finds herself alone and pregnant. Isabelle gets lucky when she meets Declan Donahue at an exhibit opening. Luck does not stay on Isabelle’s side and she ends up with three young girls to raise on her own. Isabelle’s three daughters are very different women whose temperaments reflect their biological fathers. Despite being a successful art consultant, there is something missing from Isabelle’s life. A long held secret may be the key to Isabelle getting the close family she has always desired.

Blessing in Disguise is an intriguing tale. Isabelle McAvoy has led a unique life with her father and, thanks to his influence, pursues a degree in art history. Her degree and appreciation of art is what leads to her three very different men. I enjoyed the descriptions of the art in this book. Can you imagine being able to work with valuable, gorgeous paintings every day? The three men in Isabelle’s life are as different as Isabelle’s three daughters. Theo helps the underprivileged in India, Xela uses her MBA to come up with various business ventures in order to make it big and get rich, while Oona is happily married and lives in Tuscany with her husband and three children. I thought Blessing in Disguise was well-written and it proceeded at a steady pace. Danielle Steel has a fluid writing style that engages the reader. Blessing in Disguise begins with Isabelle in her 60s reflecting on her three girls and how she met their birth fathers. Isabelle and her family go through life facing their challenges head on and celebrating their successes. I like the strong female characters that are not without their flaws. While there are some expected elements in Blessing in Disguise, it did not detract from my reading pleasure. My favorite quote from the novel is “the good thing would never have happened without the bad thing first” which makes it “a blessing in disguise”. Reading a Blessing in Disguise is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon escaping from the world.

Danielle Steel never disappoints. Blessing in Disguise will tug at your heartstrings. I loved the strength of the characters in this storyline. I love reading books that capture the strength of women.

I have read most of Danielle Steel's books. I have enjoyed many! Reading her books is like an old friend. Her stories capture you. This book is another in that vein. I was hooked upon opening the cover. Her writing prose is familiar, but this story of a mother and her three daughters is captivating. Beware you may need tissues. But you usually do at when reading DS books.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review.

I am a huge Danielle Steel fan, so I was extremely excited to have been granted this ARC . As I said I am a huge fan, but haven't read much of her work lately but after reading this I remember why I love her so much. Her characters are flawed, raw and no where near perfect which makes them so real. This story was no different.
I love that it went back to Family and the span of Isabelle's life (20s to 60s). There is turmoil and life lessons but there is always a good ending.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Dell for the ARC

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a struggle. The emotions that goes through me as a reader was surprising when I read the story. Each characters has dept. Each relationships were a roller coasters and there is a signature Danielle Steel writing in each story. This one is no different. It speak of not a normal life and must extravagant lifestyle in the main protagonist. Not so much relatable to the norm, but the emotions the story evoke is relatable.
