Resurgent, was a hot story. That also had a little mystery and action. As well as likable characters. Yet, I felt like there was just something missing which would of made this story more exciting and thrilling to read. But nevertheless it was enjoyable and very engaging and there certainly was enough going on to hold my interest throughout. And it was a satisfying conclusion to the story that started off so brilliantly in Rogue.

"Resurgent" by Brynley Blake. My first time reading that author.

4 stars.

Action, suspense, romance... not slow, not boring, read in one sitting!
I didn't know it was part of a series but I still enjoyed it! I also loved the cover.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own!

I have to say when I started reading this book, I didn't realize it was the third book in the series. While the author did a pretty good job of providing critical details from the other two books, I do wish that I had read the other two first. Not that I couldn't follow the action, I simply think the book would have flowed better for me if I had read the books in order. That being said I still enjoyed this book that featured a Navy SEAL who was essentially back from the dead. Even though Liam survived the explosion meant to kill him, he has no memory of the last few months and isn't sure who he can trust as he rushes to clear his name and protect the people he loves. This was a fast paced novel of romantic suspense that was heavy on the romance. It's the first book I have read by this author but I would definitely like to read more of her work, maybe starting with the first two in this series!

Let me first start by mentioning that I didn't know this was part of a series. When I originally read the blurb, it seemed as though this was going to be a standalone (which totally still reads as one), but it turns out that this is most likely the final installment in the trilogy.

Charlotte is a control freak. No, seriously...she has to be in control of just about everything. Which is why she's always the go-to person when things need to actually get done. She makes lists and can pretty much think of plan for any situation. That's a good quality to have considering she's been kidnapped by a drug cartel, mistaking her for her roommate, who's brother stole guns (that was a mouth full). Oh...did I mention that there was a one night stand fling that took place with said brother, right before he died? Or did he......?

Liam is the brother. He just woke up from a coma in a foreign country with amnesia, finding out that he's considered dead and has smuggled guns illegally to a drug cartel, pocketing millions of dollars. He's also having vivid dreams of his sister's best friend. While he's trying to process as much as possible, he hears that Charlotte's been kidnapped, because of him. Time to bring on the Navy SEAL, rescue the girl and figure out what the heck is going on.

This book starts off with a memory (a damn good one, if you ask me), which leads us to the present situation. Although Liam doesn't recall the fling they had, the chemistry between these two is undeniable. But I have to admit that the story is what pulled me in even more than the actual romance. I absolutely loved that there was a "bucket list" that was used as a map to find the missing pieces. But OMG!!!! How it was all tied together in the end was perfect!!!!

I just wish I had read the other books before this one. Because I KNOW I would have loved those too!!!

DNF I didn't like the premises, and that it was a third book in connectable series. I was confused and i hate that. i think if i had read the other books in the series it would have been ok.

Great Romance and Action Adventure. Enjoyed the Love concurs all theme of the book. Great ending. Love can be right in front of you if you will only open your eyes and heart. This is part of a series but worked as a stand alone. "A copy of this book was provided by Entangled via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

4.5*
Wow, what a great story! Liam, the alpha playboy, is thought of have died in an explosion overseas. When his sister's best friend is taken hostage, he suddenly reappears to save her. Together, Liam and Charlotte cross the world and back again to find clues that will do away with their enemies forever. From exotic locations, to partial amnesia, and several twists and turns, this a must read. Liam is sexy and strong, and Charlotte, a overly organized beauty, who is also strong, have a hard time not falling in love. Oh, and throw in a lot of kinky sex.

I had read the first book in the series, but missed the second. I wish In had read the second because I had a hard time recalling the back story. While this book could be a standalone, I'd definitely recommend reading the first two prior to starting this one so you can understand all that is happening.

I docked 1/2 a star because I wish the climax was at least a few pages longer with more detail.

Mtg thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for the pleasure of reading and reviewing Resurgent by Brynley Blake.

Wow, I was really sad for this book to be over. I really enjoyed it.

I really liked Liam in this book. He had so many sides to him that I enjoyed. He is a NAVY SEAL who after waking from a coma finds that he needs to clear his name. Problem is, he doesn't remember what happened. This man goes above and beyond to protect everyone that he holds dear. He carries himself as a leader and isn't afraid to take risks.

Charlotte is seen as the responsible one and the list maker. This is a woman after my own heart. There were times in the book that Liam would make some sort of offhanded comment about her need of lists and I wanted to say something to him.

The parts I enjoyed the most was the times when Charlotte could let go. She was able to live in the moment and the only way she was able to do that was because she knew that if she got in trouble, Liam would be there to catch her.

The suspense was amazing. You didn't know how/if he was going to get himself out of this mess.

I would highly recommend this book.

Liam woke from a coma in India. He barely remembers who he is, never mind what he may or may not have done.

But when a news article kickstarts his faulty memory, he begins an adventure he's not sure he can finish. His motto may be "Do not underestimate the power of "fuck It" but somethings need more consideration - like the damage a certain female could do to his heart!

Charlotte thought losing Liam after their one night stand was bad enough but now she is the subject of misidentification and she has been kidnapped in the stead of her best friend, Liam's sister. When a figure enters the room she is being kept she almost dies of fright - it seems Liam may not be as dead as they thought!

Charlotte and Liam are a great pairing. Charlotte with her lists of lists and Liam's gung ho approach to life are just fireworks in the making. I loved the premise and the characters are strong and have plenty to say! First book I've read by this author and won't be the last!

So we finally got Liam's story and we have been waiting a while. I implore you to start from the beginning with Mckenzie's book to get the whole story and to know who is who. Liam has been thought of as dead and he left behind a necklace and a bucket list, and so McKenzie (his sister) has been living thru him so she can feel closer and ends up finding danger. Then we have in the second book his best friend Walker and Gemma looking for clues trying to clear his name because all sort of info came out on Liam that were not very good, and Walker can't believe it and so he and Gemma begin there journey, but now we get to Liam and Charlotte. Charlotte is McKenzie and Gemma's business partner as well as best friend and she had a crush on Liam and they had an explosive night but then he disappear's and then is thought of as dead, but now she is kidnapped and it is Liam who saves her and explains what happened to him and that he is not who they are thinking that he is (a traitor) and while they are together they rekindle their romance and try to stay ahead of the danger surrounding them...Grab a copy!

I couldn't wait for Liam's story. I liked how Resurgent, wrapped everything up completely. Charlotte's life will never be the same again. Her plan is so far off now that she probably doesn't even remember them.

Liam likes to drive his woman up the wall, "only the best for my baby,” he says with a wink, reminding me we have a role to play. “How about a kiss?” Liam needs help in the wooing department, "...well… other than just for pleasure. There’s always room for that. So your virtue’s safe.” He looks over at me and grins wickedly. “Unless, of course, you’re game for some no-strings-attached ***.” Liam likes to keeo things hostage, "...I reach for my underwear, but he beats me to, scooping it off the floor and tucking it into his pocket. “I need my underwear!” I liked it this book, I liked Liam.
