A lovely, lively humerous look at life of the 50 year old woman!
Four friends aged 49 are planning a big five o party, this book shows the trials and tribulations they encounter along the way and the secrets that they have each been hiding from each other! Very funny and easy to relate to particularly as I am very nearly 59 myself! Good insight into how women’s minds work and quite thought provoking!
Thank you net galley for this early read which has had me laughing out loud at times!

One of my favourite books of the year! Loved it. So joyous and entertaining. A book for women who are getting older and who may not like the idea as it'll make you laugh and nod in understanding.
Well done, Jane Wenham-Jones

This is the first book I have read by this author and it doesn’t disappoint.

Four friends, Charlotte, Fay, Roz and Sherie are all turning 50 and they decide to throw a joint party to celebrate. The story follows the friends as they prepare for the party and their reactions to being 50.

A good book with entertaining characters. A tale of friendship with plenty of humour thrown in which made for a quick and easy read.

This starts out as a book about four friends planning a big bash to celebrate the fact they’re all turning 50. While each woman is different, their friendship has held them together through the years. The characters are realistic. Relatable situations (insecurities, worries about growing old, etc.) will likely resonate with readers. There’s a bit of everything for just about everybody in this book. It’s a quick read, perfect for summer.

I was expecting more of a chik-lit flavored book. This turned out to be more gentle-spirited. A very nice, sometimes amusing, story about female friendship.

This seems to be a book about four women friends that are all turning 50, and the subsequent big bash they plan to throw for themselves. But, really, it’s a story about life. Each of the four women lead different lives, but love and support each other unconditionally through all that life throws at them. It was a well-written, engaging and realistic story of women’s relationships – both with themselves and each other. There are secrets, insecurities, confidence issues, worry about aging from both the physical and emotional POV and how they each find they way individually and together. This would definitely be a fun beach read, as you will keep turning those pages to find out how where the story goes for each character.

This is an easygoing read about four friends all close to hitting fifty, it’s not deep and meaningful but it is a fun read and a thoughtful study of friendship. This group of friends have known each other for some time now however it appears they don’t know each other as well as they think, many of them assuming the others have a far more ideal life than their own. Charlotte is very successful in business but insecure in her marriage, Roz is struggling financially, Fay is scared to embark in a meaningful relationship and Sherie has the job but never got the husband and family. All four women are well rounded characters, some more backstory might have been good but the pertinent points were revealed as each of their stories progressed.
