Interesting book with lots of inspiring, simple projects. I have been inspired to make a couple of them and it has kickstarted my sewing!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book.

I definitely appreciated this book and made the most of the smaller more entry level tasks.

I'd recommend this title to those looking at taking up a new hobby with ease!

Have dipped into this book a few times now. There are some lovely ideas and projects here, and all with well explained and clear instructions.
A good book for beginners and for those with more experience, with lots of variety, both with the type of project and with the difficulty of them.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I got this for my 20 year and 12 year old as they had shown an interest in crafts and sewing. They love this book and have made my things such as fabric boxes for storage and a tissue box. They are still working their way through, and it's good that a lot of the things required such as old pillowcases we can re-use to transform into a pretty thing for the home. It's great that they have taken such an interest and they are loving making things that are decorative or useful.

I love this book. I want to make most of these projects. They seem simple and easy to follow. This is definitely on my purchase list. Thanks to NetGalley for the free download and to the author and publisher.

I'm really impressed with this book. It gives clear, concise instructions for a myriad of sewing projects, the majority of which are really useful. Too often collections of ideas and/or patterns has a few super ones but a lot that are somewhat lacklustre. Not this book - it's packed with inspiration. My particular favourites include the jigsaw cushions - a brilliant and fun addition to every kid's bedroom - the neat and tidy toilet tissue holder, the kite height chart, and ironing board organiser, to give just a few examples.
There's lots of helpful advice, handy photos and encouragement all the way through.
I found it very inspiring indeed.

This book has projects for every room of the home. I am an intermediate sewer and I think that I can tackle most of these projects. There are easy step by step photos and that is for me. Thanks to Fox Chapel Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Creative and well written, there are multiple projects for the home sewer, beginner or expert. Each project is explained well with ample photographs and directions. I especially liked the navy blue bathroom projects.

A great place to start for someone just learning to sew or for someone with more experience looking for simpler, quicker projects. Projects include both decorative and more functional items and instructions are clear and easy to follow. The example items were made with mostly bright, fun fabrics which make the projects more enticing. There are a few projects that seem like filler - tassels, framed pieces of fabric - and some projects require little or no sewing, but overall, this is a good collection of simpler sewing projects for the home. I could see making several of these items for myself it for gifts.

Thank you to Fox Chapel Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

A lovely book with lots of easy and cute things to make for the home. It is well illustrated and starts of with some very easy projects and continues to some harder and larger items. A lovely book to personalize a gift for a friend, a new baby or house warming, they are pretty trendy and simple to make. Written by Charlie Moorby who contributes to the English "Mollie Make" magazine and are typical of that style.
I like the apron very much, and the denim pocket panel, made from old jeans looks great.

This is a colorful, fun book filled with some really creative, pretty projects that someone with moderate sewing experience should be able to complete.

I was hoping that the projects would be simple enough for an absolute beginner like myself, but I do not feel I'm up to doing most of them myself (yet), unfortunately. While there are a few that are really simple, most of the projects are better suited to someone with some familiarity with sewing. There are a few exceptions that are ridiculously easy, such as sticking a piece of fabric in a picture frame.

There are color photos of each project with step by step pictures of assembly, but the photos don't show any of the work actually being done. There were times when I was confused if something was supposed to be hand sewn or machine sewn, for instance, because it would just show each piece of something after that part was sewn and then say something like "join the sides of the fabric boxes together with small, neat stitches." Also, there were times when materials were not listed, like the fabric lampshades don't list glue as a needed supply but then at the end it says to glue it to your lampshade (and not with what type of glue).

There were also times when the designs didn't seem very practical. For instance, there are pillowcases that involve sewing yarn tassels onto ready-made pillowcases but they look like they would be quickly ruined in the wash. And really, I'm not sure anybody needs yarn tassels just sewn onto the edges of their pillowcases.

That said, most of the projects are really bright, fun and pretty. There were some projects that I would love to make if I could, such as a kite growth chart (a measuring tape is sewn into the string hanging down) for a child's room, a colorful hanging toilet paper holder, tea cozies (I'd love to adapt that for my KitchenAid mixer and blender), the hot water bottle cover, the bean bag lounge chair, some of the children's toys and some of the kitchen projects.

This will be a great book for home sewers who are looking for some fun new projects to use up their favorite fabric stashes.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for the purpose of review.

I am new to sewing so I was looking for a book with simple projects that might not overwhelm me too much. I think there are several in this book that I could definitely try with my newbie skills, but for the most part they seem a little difficult for a beginner. However, I think there were so many interesting projects and patterns that I would love to create once I am feeling more comfortable with my skills. I may try some of the easier ones and work my way up to the more difficult ones, but I definitely think there are some fun yet practical things to be made! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sewing, I think a newbie or seasoned sewer alike would enjoy the projects within these pages.

I was recently gifted with a large amount of fabric in varying sizes and textures. My goal is to turn it into donatable gifts for our local homeless and assisted living shelters but I had no idea on where to start planning. This book is an answer to my problem. It has so many simple projects that I have been able to complete many projects in one day. I appreciate the effort the author made to insure anyone could follow the instructions and guide lines. It has made a huge difference in my abilities and I'm happy to let everyone know this book is a great one to add to my library.

This book presents instructions for sewing items with practical home uses, and contains a surprisingly high number of projects one might actually put to good use around the house. Often this sort of book contains only a few useful projects interspersed with too many silly or pointless items. There are a few that I would skip (does anyone really need a triangular fabric case for storage of scissors?), but quite a number that would be handy (various boxes, storage trays, cushion covers, etc.). The instructions are well illustrated, and there are convenient templates as well. A little more guidance on how to identify appropriate fabrics and alternatives for each project would have been helpful. I look forward to trying a few of these ideas soon.

This book is full of fun fabric projects for the entire house and beyond. It covers most rooms of the home - kitchen, bath, bedrooms, home office, etc. There are even some for the yard/beach. I had a mental list of projects from the book just from leafing through it. The directions appear to be clear and concise (although I haven't made any projects yet, I can see from the directions I looked at closely that they seemed well thought-out). I'm so looking forward to spending some quality time with my sewing machine and fabric stash.

Thanks to Netgalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for providing a copy for an unbiased review.

This is the book I have been waiting for! The projects in this book are so varied, so cute, and--as advertised--so simple!! My only complaint is that they aren't for beginners. The book doesn't advertise that it is for beginners, so I can't be too upset about this, and to compensate, there are so many excellent photos that I feel as a relative beginner myself, I could probably take on some of the relatively ambitious projects. As I said, I really love the wide range of projects that this book has for all areas of the home. There are things I would love and make for my house and then would share with friends, family, or even co-workers as gifts. I would recommend this book to anyone who, like me, is just starting out with a sewing machine or even who is just looking for fun project ideas.
