The Dating Alternative is a light and fluffy romance book. It's fast pace, it's nothing too complex, and it has characters that you can't help but like. It's not dense with plot, or drama. It's easy to read, and it's overall a feel good novel.
Personally, I feel like the writing could've been a bit better, and some things could've been further expanded on.
But if you're a fan of the romance genre and are thinking about picking up this book, you won't regret it.

This was a sweet, east, romantic read. I sped through it and it wasn't overly dramatic as some of these types of romance novels go. It was funny, cute. I enjoyed it.

A quick, fun read. While I don't mind sex in my romance novels (I'll even admit to preferring it!), the language in this one was a bit more raunchy than necessary.

Let's start this review with three simple words: Hot, HOT, HOTT. Phew. This book was funny, sexy and steamy, and man was it ever fast paced. Not only was this a good adult romance novel, it also had some unexpected scenes that kept the story interesting.
Jennifer Woodhull has a talent for writing in her characters' point of view. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily she could switch between Brie and Max's voice. I loved that she chose this method to write the book, it made the characters so much more realistic. Right down to the masculine humour, she hit the nail right on the head. Jennifer is a really talented hot romance writer. If you are looking for a fast paced steamy romantic read with very lovable characters then I suggest you pick this up. Just make sure you don't go falling head over heels with super hott hunky Max. Lip-bitingly Satisfying.

A really enjoyable story with even better characters. It flowed nicely and the chapters just flew by. My first book by Jennifer but definitely not my last. Would recommend!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoy it. I found the characters to be very well developed and I loved the story line. From the moment I picked up the book I could not put it down. The story just flowed from chapter to chapter. I loved the chemistry between Max and Sabrina. Reading about how their relationship changes and all the things that happen on the way made for a really interesting story. I am definitely going to check out what other books this author has. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

The dating alternative is a cute story about two friends who have feelings for each other but it never lines up. Brie and Max both have not had great luck in the relationship department. Now after years they are both single and run into each other a bit more. However Brie isn’t quite at the ready to date phase and Max has a lot changing in his life. What better solution than friends with benefits?

These two have quite the journey and it’s funny how cute they are together. It’s a very enjoyable book and I seriously enjoyed it.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read and review this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was pleasantly surprised by this romance. Max and Brie have known each other a while and have never been single at the same time before, so Max sees his opening and takes it. He's a wonderful guy and you can't help but fall for him as he does anything and everything for the woman he loves. Who doesn't love a man that loves their Nanna?
There were a few scenes that deviated from the norm which made this book different to others, and slightly unpredictable. A light, fun read.

A fun and entertaining read. Max and Brie have met a few times over the last couple of years, but now they are both single at the same time will they finally get together? But Brie has been put off relationships by her ex, so can Max convince her to give him a chance?

The Dating Alternative by Jennifer Woodhull is a sweet and sexy second chance romance. Sabrina is going through a difficult time in her life. Both professional and personal. Her heart got broken by her would be husband and she is afraid to go for another relationship now. She knew Max, bartender from local bar for a while and they are good friends. Though they felt the chemistry, the timing was never right. Max has his own issues to deal with too. So what would happen? Would they find a way around their personal obstacles to find some alternative? Would love find them again?

I loved Max's character! He has depth and a brilliant sense of humor. He is the kind of guy who makes you wonder why you cannot find them in real life. He is so dreamy! And Sabrina's character is amazing too. What I enjoyed about the book was the story telling. There is no hurry, no excessive drama, no big games. The author takes her own time to slowly build up the fire between Max and Brie. I love reading these stories because they relax my mind and always make me feel so good. The sex is passionate and explosive yet it never seems forced. This love making was real and honest. The conversations are equally important as the physical acts. The story has some major twists at the end which made the story even more enjoyable. A true romance in it's heart, this story was amazing and a great read

4.5 Stars!

With the book blurb for The Dating Alternative being so detailed, I decided to seek out the reviews already posted for this novel. As a result, this book made it to the top of my TBR list. Jennifer Woodhull is a new author for me, and I enjoyed the refreshing way in which she tells a story. The two main characters are likable, fun and genuine, and their journey to a forever together is quite exciting.

Sabrina, also known as Brie or Cheese, is an an accomplished accountant that works for a villainous witch. Three weeks before her wedding, her fiance announced that he met someone else, leaving her vulnerable, angry and alone in the place that they shared. Now it is six months later and Brie is finally moving forward in her life. She is not ready for a new relationship, but she is ready for some hot sex.

Max, also known as Alexander or Alex, has crushed on Brie for years. He used to be an attorney, and now he is a bartender. After learning the ropes, he plans on opening up his own place in the very near future. He and Brie were never single at the same time, that is until now. Alex agrees to Brie's suggestion of a friends with benefits type of relationship, in the hopes that he can evolve it into much more. Love is definitely in the air, however, Brie's career troubles may prevent them from their happily ever after. Luckily, there is a lawyer in the house.

I really liked this book. Brie and Alex are well-conceived characters and their sexy times are quite hot. The plot is unpredictable, which kept me on the edge of my seat much of the time. The secondary characters, including Brie's two best friends, Alex's older brother and their Nana Dorothy, truly add personality to the present happenings. Overall, this is an engaging novel that should not be missed.

This one stared off really cute, then it slowly went downhill for me. My favorite part was the grandma, she stole the show!

After being dumped by her fiancé 3 weeks before the wedding, Bree is done with dating. She is looking for an alternative becomes friends with benefits with Max. Before the start you already know this causual relationship isn't going to last long. This wasn't an as cute romance as I was hoping, but still enjoyable. I liked Max and his grandma. Bree annoyed me at times. Overall this was an okay and quick read, but I don't think I'll read something by this author again.

Loved loved loved this book. Ok it may help that I’m a single female who after a crazy break-up has had problems putting myself out there again...
Max and Chelsea have the ideal situation when they reach the idea of a friends with benefits relationships. Max has the girl of his dreams and Chelsea can ease back into the world of men are not scum. Even the wedding scene is perfect as he plans the entire event and she doesn’t have the hours of stressing over every last detail. I will definitely be purchasing for my library collection!

I thought this one would be right up my alley because this is one of my favorite tropes, but unfortunately, it fell a little short for me. I thought the story was cute, and I loved the main guy, Max. Brie was definitely a little harder to like. It felt like she had no backbone, and never stood up for herself. But, the biggest problem for me was that I felt Max and Brie lacked chemistry. I found their conversations almost formal, like a business relationship. I wanted to love this one so much, but it just didn’t work for me, personally.

Three weeks shy of her wedding, Brie is left heartbroken after her fiance ends the engagement and leaves her for a ‘tan goddess’ he had met one month prior. After six months of picking up the broken pieces and her crushed self-esteem, she ultimately decides to try the whole friends with benefits with Max, the local bartender whom she always had a flirty past with.

Their timing was never right so when Max discovers that they are both finally single at the same time, he leaps in heart first ready to win her over even despite her swearing off all relationships and not looking for anything more than a casual fling. Agreeing to her rules of not asking for more, it starts as an arrangement but when Max realized his feelings for her are lot more than he anticipated, he’s doing everything in his power to win her over. But would Brie see this more than an arrangement? Will she finally allow her heart to open up to him? Only time will tell.

Overall, it was a enjoyable read and the lead characters were phenomenal. Nana and Simon, the secondary characters, added additional humor to the story (fingers cross Simon will have his own series too). With the leads strong connection and great chemistry, you can’t help but root for their happily ever all. It was a quick fun read and the twist towards the end was unexpected! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking a book filled with great banter, hot scenes, and seconds chances.

A unique way of not dating between Brie and Max leads the one of the sweetest stories! First, we have Max's nickname for Brie that is adorable...CHEESE. I love when a male lead is sweet, sexy and vulnerable. That he's been crazy about Brie for tears is the sweetest. Men are mostly written to be chased or persuaded to fall in love. When Max decides he wants Brie to choose him it was a hit with me.

Brie is gun shy with love and men in general. Having a crappy job leads the encounters with even bigger jerks in the male department. Brie's trials are sad but she stays strong and fierce.

Grandmom was amazing and hilarious! Highly recommend this for a great read.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.
