This is a wonderful book for kids 2 and up that you want to introduce yoga to. My kids loved doing these poses and they LOVED the bee! This is such a cute and exciting book, I would recommend to any parent with little ones.
The art was beautiful and colorful, it will definitely keep little ones attention.

A cute little book featuring yoga. Cute illustrations and pairs well with the Invitation to Meditation book.

Bee Calm was a really fun book to read. The illustrations were beautiful and did such a wonderful job bringing each page to life. Bentley was a simple bee who was a bit perplexed to see their friends in such odd poses. Once they knew what they were doing though, they wanted to learn how to do some poses. This was one of the more clever stories I have read in a good while. I can see kids and adults have a lot of fun reading this book.

This yoga book for young children pales when compared to other books on the topic. The rhyme fails, and not all lines are the same length. It does not read like a poem, but the meter changes to fit the message. All of the characters have too cute alliterative names, which will wear on adult readers. The poses are valid, as is Bee's hesitation. The premise is sound, a person that does not see what the fuss is about tries something new and likes it. However the author needs to drop the gimmicks and focus on the story.

This book was fine but not amazing. A bee is buzzing around and sees his animal friends contorting their bodies in weird ways. They tell him it's yoga, and the name of the pose. Some even tell him why they do that pose. The author tries really hard to rhyme, and there he does succeed, but there is no cadence, which makes the rhymes seem dunderheaded and off. There is no flow, or a choppy flow when a rhyme is to harsh or two stretched like Jane and Airplane. The illustrations are fine and charming. A nice book, but there are better similar books.

Bee Calm is an excellent book to introduce children to yoga in a fun and interesting manner. My son loved trying out the moves as he saw them. Being able to self calm in an increasingly busy world is integral skill for our children learn and master and this book is a great place to start!

I never read children's books but was fascinated when I realized that this book is something I should have read when I was a kid. I never had access to such books and I am thankful to all the authors who devote their time to create such books.

This book is a cute little book about the forest animals doing yoga and teaching their friend Bee how to do it. The poses are easy and kids will pick up on it quickly.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this e-galley of Bee Calm, The Buzz on Yoga. I feel better already!

The text of this picture book is rhyming and the illustrations are appealing. The reader observes Bee as he buzzes about and spends a little time with many of his friends. They are all doing yoga poses. At first, Bee is not sure that he is interested but then he decides to give it a try. He learns more about yoga and starts to make it a part of his life.

This is another in the series published by the American Psychological Association. There is a reminder about the hectic pace of life and the need for kids to learn ways to let go of that. A helpful section at the back of the book suggests ways in which adults can practice yoga with children.

I highly recommend this title. It makes yoga feel appealing, fun and helpful.

Bentley Bee decides to go for a fly one beautiful summer day. While flying, he sees several of his friends practicing yoga. At first he thinks it looks funny, and he is not interested in trying it out. After seeing several of his friends do various poses (which are named in the story) he decides to try it out, and soon finds he enjoys the way yoga makes him feel.
This book is an adorable introduction to yoga. It has 8 basic poses throughout the story, each modeled by an illustration of an animal in the pose. If you are planning on introducing yoga to a young child, this book would be a fun and effective way to do it!
I would recommend this book to anyone who has intentions of practicing or teaching yoga with/to young children. In my opinion, this book would work well for children from age 2 on up.

The "buzz" on this book that you need to know is that it's awesome and very calming. I love that it's interactive for child readers and that it provides them with beneficial form of exercise and meditation. It also invites readers to try new things. The illustrations are just so darling, love them. I would recommend this book for everyone big and small.

"Bee Calm" is the story of a Bee who finds his friends doing yoga. At first, he finds it strange, but then tries it, and it he feels great. The illustrations are sweet, and the color palate is natural and calming. The notes at the end of the book provide information and instructions on the yoga poses presented in the book. I liked the story, but not the fact that it rhymed. Some of the rhymes were half rhymes and broke the flow of the book while reading it out loud. This story can be enjoyed by children who like to move, need ways to relax, and who need encouragement to try something new.
