Unfortunately, we were not able to view this title via eReader. The cover showed - but nothing else. And the book was added to our library as "Saint" (as opposed to "St." as on the cover), making it difficult to find by exact name. Looks cute, however.

I enjoyed this story that is written for children. It is enjoyable and gives children the history of St. Patrick down on a child level. I think it was well written for the audience the author is trying to capture.

I was provided a copy of the book by NetGalley and I voluntarily gave an honest review.

'St. Patrick's Journey (Peg Saints)' by Calee M. Lee with illustrations by Jacob G. Lee is the story of Saint Patrick told with a small peg painted to look like him.

The book takes the peg version of Saint Patrick is taken out and posed in the real locations that the Saint was in. There is also included a timeline of Patrick's different pilgrimages and instructions to create your own Peg version of Saint Patrick.

I liked this book of kid friendly illustrations and text. The story of St. Patrick is told simply and clearly. This was a nice read and timely for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Xist Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

I wanted to love this book, but I didn't. I was hoping for a great story about the life of St. Patrick that I could read to my kids. This felt more like a comic book, and was not at all what I expected.

Depending on your beliefs, you might want to take the assertation that this book is a “true story” with a grain of salt…

On the other hand, with St Patrick’s Day coming up tomorrow, how could I not review the story of Saint Patrick the Wooden Peg! What an absurd concept for a book, but a clever one.

Aimed at children (obviously), you get quite a lot of information mixed in with the religion, and the book finishes with a map and coordinates so readers can look up the real locations mentioned once they’ve finished reading.

Better than I expected.

Having visited some of the sights associated with Patrick I was excited for this book. It has a sort of Flat Stanley artifice happening, with a peg said wandering around. I don't know that this is a mass-market book. It is more for the religious or St. Patrick obsessed (I guess also the peg doll obsessed.) It was cute, but partly as I was particularly interested in the topic. Good for the Catholic kid on your list.

Thanks to NetGallery for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute and concise account of St. Patrick using a peg and pictures to show his journey through Ireland. The peg Patrick changes to reflect his personal/spiritual growth. I especially loved the GPS coordinates at the end so that you can make your own journey through St. Patrick’s life in Ireland.

Thanks to NetGalley, Calee Lee, and Xist Publishing for sending me the free Electronic ARC of this book.

A cute, and Tru story about St and how he brought Christianity to Ireland. Funny pictures, and instructions on how to make them at the end

A book about the life of St. Patrick of Ireland told with lovely pictures of a little peg following Patrick's journey. Meant for children, but a useful overview.
