Very interesting seeing the nuts and bolts of how network news gets produced. That sai, I found the main characters frivolous and distasteful. Natalie Savage is ambitious in the misogynistic and sexist world of DC. Most of the characters are similarly ambitious, narcissistic, and not very interesting beyond getting the next news story. There is a breakthrough story at the end of the book but by that time I was no longer interested.

Natalie Savage's dream is finally coming true, she is going to report the news from the White House. After years of hard work she's finally getting her shot but her shot is full of challenges. She has to navigate a new producer, a competition with an over grown frat boy, and a variety of men in power who want more than her reporting expertise.Is she willing to make the sacrifices the network expects or will she do it her own way?
