Ryder by Diana Gardin is book Two in the Delta Squad Series. This is the story of Ryder and Frannie. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Ryder who is a part of the Night Eagle Security team who has been tasked to protect Frannie who is running from her evil husband. Ryder who is all about work isn't on board for this assignment until he lays eyes on Frannie...there is something about her that draws him in. But he is learning that Frannie is hiding something...so besides protecting her he needs to find out her secrets.
Exciting read.

This is book two of the Delta Squad Series and my first read by Diana Gardin. I enjoyed this book it’s filled with suspense and action. Ryder and Frannie each had their share of demons to battle. Ryder works for a private security firm and he is assigned to keep Frannie who is on the run from her abusive ex husband safe. In order to Do his job, Ryder needs Frannies complete trust however, Frannie doesn’t trust easily and she has been keeping a secret that could jeopordize her safety. I liked that both characters were protective and strong. Once you start reading this book it pretty much takes off. It’s a quick and easy read that has a bit of everything: steamy scenes, action, suspense, heartbreak and an alpha.

This is my first book by this author and I can say it definitely won't be my last! This is book 2 in this series and I read it as a stand alone and understood everything that happened in it. This one is about Thorn Ryder and Frannie Ward. Ryder is tasked with keeping Frannie safe from her husband until he can be caught and tried for his crimes. What neither realize is that their meeting and being thrown together will change the course of their lives. Can Ryder keep Frannie safe, especially when he doesn't know the major secret she is keeping? And once he finds out, will he forgive her? Or will he let that push him away forever?

I absolutely loved this book! Frannie is definitely one of the strongest women you will ever read about! He husband put her through absolutely hell and misery, and when her parents won't help to protect her? She makes the decision to protect herself by any means necessary. And I love that about her! She was strong to know that he was never going to change and eventually what he was doing would kill her, and she took the steps to make sure that didn't happen. Ryder is a man with his own demons but he has a heart of gold. He will do whatever it takes to protect people, and if he decides he cares about you? He will go even further! I loved every minute of this book complete with the ups and downs, and I once I started it? I couldn't put it down! An excellent read!

Thorn shows Frannie how a real man loves!

Frannie is on the run from her abusive, criminal husband. NES is tasked with protecting her while the local PD conducts their manhunt. Thorn Ryder is assigned as her bodyguard, and he's quickly impressed with how prepared she is to protect herself from ever being abused again.

To say Frannie has trust issues is putting it mildly. She's got secrets - big ones - and she's going to do whatever she can to protect those she loves. Even if that means aiming a gun at or assaulting the man she's falling in love with.

This is a complex story that gets right to the heart of the matter. Thorn readily puts it all on the line for the women in his life, and he's exactly the kind of hero I love to read about. The heart-stopping action kept me glued to my kindle, right up to the glorious HEA. I loved every bit of this story, and can't wait for the next visit with our favorite NES heroes. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

3.5 stars: This is my third read from Diana Gardin. I have to say this was not my favorite of hers. My biggest issue was that the even the heroine learned how to take care of herself, she made some bad decisions in the name of keeping someone safe. Some of her decisions are what dropped it down from a 4 for me. I got hung up on them.

Like with the previous book, the two main characters fall pretty hard pretty fast and didn't take much convincing to take the relationship to the next level. The book is definitely more romance that romantic suspense. But hey, sexy military men who can also be cuddly work.

Another brilliant book from this talented author and once again it is a brilliant mesh of romance suspense and drama her writing in POV makes the books so much easier to read as you get the perspective of the main characters on the same event often totally different

Thorn Ryder has been tasked with protecting Frannie Ward from her husband Eli Ward he doesn't want the job at all. This is the first time that that Thorn"wolf" Ryder has been given point on a case for Night Eagle Security and it is caring for Frannie who we met in Lawson. Thorn doesn't want to care but he is soon enthralled by his protectee but he knows he has to keep it business. Frannie is a strong woman who has had to make some amazingly hard decisions. Will these two damaged souls find redemption in one another Will they both realise that family is what you make and will they get a HEA You will need to read to see

Ryder – Diana Gardin

This is the first book I have read by Diana Gardin. This story follows Franny and Thorn Ryder. Thorn works for a security company and has been charged with protecting Franny from her abusive and arms dealer ex-husband. This story was pretty fast paced, had some steamy scenes and definitely a few twists that I wasn’t expecting. Overall, it was a good book and I will look into reading some more from Gardin in the future.
This book happens to be the second one in the Delta Squad series. I haven’t read the first one, so I can’t say for certain if I missed anything, but I could definitely follow along with the storyline. I didn’t realize it was series, I usually prefer to read them in order.

Rated 4.5 stars.

Ryder is another really good book by a consistently good writer. Gardin again gives us a very interesting story with lots of suspense and a happily ever after.

Ryder is such a great guy. He’s not a relationship kind of guy. A love life just hasn’t fit in his life so far. Frannie is so sweet. Her story was the cliffhanger from Lawson (book 1 in the Delta Squad series). Can Delta Squad,, specifically Ryder, keep Frannie safe from her too clever, completely evil husband? Can these two even get together given she’s married to a phsycopath who wants her back and is willing to kidnap her. Oh! and she’s keeping a huge secret from Ryder.

Gardin gives her characters plenty of depth, enough emotional baggage and stressful situations. There’s so much to keep the reader highly engages to the last page.

What a good book! Although it is a very familiar plot line for fans of this genre, it does make for a great read. My personal issue is that I'm not a fan of main characters having sex early in the story, I much prefer a gradual buildup of a relationship.
My thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read and review Ryder by Diana Gardin.

When Ryder is assigned to protect Frannie from her soon to be ex-husband, he didn't expect to feel so attracted to her, but the feelings are mutual. A good story and I liked it for the most part. So parts happen too quick though, and contradicted their own feelings. Also didn't see how the ex-husband could afford to pay off so many people, as I never got the feeling they were quite that rich. Also felt like a lot of characters here, and since this is the first I've read in this series I was slightly lost at times. Minor issues though, and liked the book overall and highly recommend it. The side story of Nevaeh, the young girl he works with in the Boys and Girls club is sad but sweet.

Ryder is the second instalment of Diana Gardin’s Delta Squad and brings us the story of Ryder and Frannie. I’m always been in awe of authors when they bravely delve into sensitive areas like abuse and mental illness, and manage to portray the characters and their circumstances with reality and respect.

Frannie is an exceptional character that has suffered immensely, but still makes the hard choices to protect those she loves the most. Ryder is the ultimate protector, but babysitting a battered woman from her bastard husband is not his ideal assignment. But protect her he will, and at all costs.

Ms Gardin has penned another fabulous story packed with danger, testosterone, camaraderie, real life issues and the strength that comes from letting someone into your heart, to share your pain and then rising above it. I can’t wait for more from this talented author.

I read This book in one day. Ryder and Frannie had instant chemistry. Frannie is understandable reluctant to trust men in general. Ryder’s protectivess and sense of humor wins her over pretty quick. Definitely would read another book from this author.

RYDER by Diana Hardin is a fast paced suspense. A special ops security team protects an estranged wife from a criminal abuser. There's lots of action and a romance in this book you won't want to miss!

Franny is on the run from her abuse ex husband and Ryder is her security detail. One thing leads to another and they develop a sexual relationship. I was a bit disappointed with how quick their relationship became sexual especially since Franny is still wary of men hurting her like her ex. But the sexual chemistry between them is hot and Ryder is your typical alpha, possessive and sweet knight in shining armor constantly coming to her rescue.
Pleasantly good read.

NOTE: I was given a digital copy of this book from Netgally in exchange for an honest review. May Contain Spoilers...

This book was so much more feels than I anticipated. I guess I forgot what a good romance could do to you. Also, once again I have read a book series out of order (LOL don’t worry, I tend to do that with romance novels). I don’t know if I just didn’t see that this was book two but believe me, I’m going to read book one… and after that probably all her other books.

Let’s start with the facts:

· You don’t need to have read book one to read this one.

· It starts off fast (like page two fast).

· It may contain some triggers (domestic violence, slight implication of miscarriage, drug overdose). ~As someone slightly sensitive to one of those triggers I was fine but that but please know that that may not be the case for everyone.

I am a very character driven reader and I have to say that I love the interactions/relationship between Frannie and Ryder. They challenge each other in all of the best of ways, and I love the family they are able to construct. I loved the little sneaks of Ryder’s squad and the little snips of their interactions with Frannie.

“Bain turns towards me, eyes my gun, and an incredulous expression crosses his face before irritation quickly follows. “You know I’m here to protect you, right?””

The pace of all the action was great, it seemed fast in the beginning while you are still trying to learn the characters and what the situation actually is, but you will be thankful for the pace when it all goes down. I was on the edge of my seat and my heart was pounding so fast. LOL, I forgot that books could do this to ya.

There may have been two grammar errors as follows, if so, I hope they are able to be corrected for the actual release:

· “They quicker they catch Eli…” Chaper 11

· “Don’t. I need to get me out of him. He shot at us...” Chapter 13

Overall, I completely fell in love with this story and the characters. This was probably my first ever military/protector type romance and I’m happy to report that it did not disappoint.

The search for Eli Ward continues. He wants his property, his wife, returned to him and he is willing to do pretty much anything to get what he wants. But there is one almighty roadblock in his way - Ryder and the Delta Squad!

Ryder felt an almost instant tug towards Frannie, the former Mrs Francesca Ward. He knows she was not involved in her husband's nefarious schemes but now she is also his protectee, meaning all the feelings he may or may not have for her are going to have to be buried.

Frannie enjoys her work at the hospital and her former husband is not going to take it from her! She gives Ryder a run for his money in the stubborn stakes. This former victim now has a spine of steel and a couple of guns as back up. She will no longer rely on anyone but herself to keep her, and her secrets, safe.

Great story and superb characters. There were more layers to Ryder than an onion and Frannie...well she is something else. The length that woman will go to for those she loves is infinite. I'm really hoping the supportive Lobelia gets her own HEA!

Ryder, is a great suspense romance novel. There are secrets, but the way that Ryder handles them is precious. I love this book and can't wait to read more by, Diana Gardin.
