Can I say I just love how carefully the details and clues about how Olive and Ethan really feel are slowly revealed. Early on Ethan starts to show that maybe he’s not been as indifferent to Olive as she thought when he talks about a t-shirt she wore – years ago. It’s awesome, by the way and I want one. The story also avoids the dreaded fact introduction followed by rinse and repeat at least once a chapter that is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Instead, the characters act and talk in ways that remind me of what I’m supposed to remember. Since a lot of this is that Olive and Ethan snark at each other, I also liked that there is a good balance between them on the zings scoreboard.
The change in their realization of their feelings is nicely done. Little things begin to add up and since they’ve spent basically their entire relationship up until now telling each other exactly what they feel (even though the basis on which those reactions was built was so, so wrong) that they know that honesty is staring them in the face and they accept this. The final conflict is solidly based on what has already been set up so thanks for nothing “out of the blue.” Even though I knew what was coming, it’s done so well that my heart was breaking for them because they both have valid reasons for acting as they do.
Then after the pain (go Olive for standing up for her truth and not knuckling under to everyone else’s wishes), there is – hallelujah – time spent thinking. Olive also contemplates what she really wants from life as well as listens to what Ami truthfully tells her then rewires her view on life. Ami’s actions were powerful and well done, too. By the time Ethan is ready to “grand-gesturing in an ugly shirt, with a fake Mai tai glass,” I absolutely believe that both of them are in the right place, heads on straight, and ready for their HEA. However, I will say that the two-years-later epilogue complete with new POV is fantastic.
Yep, I’m giving this one a big thumbs up.

Olive/Ollie’s twin sister Ami is getting married to Dane. Ami is very lucky and wins so many contests and raffles it's unbelievable. Ami and Olive were identical twins but totally different inside. Ami os a four leaf clover and Olive has always been unlucky. Ami is an optimist who looks for the silver lining, Olive tends to assume the sky is falling. Olive had never won a coloring contest or an office pool, not even a lottery ticket or a game of Pin The tail On the donkey. She had even broke her leg when someone fell backwards on the stairs and knocked her over and the person who fell was unscathed. Every extended family vacation she constantly drew bathroom duty for a five year stretch, was peed on by a dog when sunbathing in Florida, pooped on by many birds over the years, and when sixteen she was struck by lightning but lived through it. . Ami had always loved attention. Olive did not. Olive’s maid of honor dress was horrible and way too green. She had been pleading with her boss to keep her job as four hundred scientist were being let go by the company and she was one of them and that was when Ami sent the picture of the dress. Olive had to go down to the kitchen as she was allergic to shellfish and make sure the chicken had been ordered. Than Ami said to check and make sure it was ordered for Ethan -Dane’s older brother and best man. As far as Olive was concerned Ethan was prickish, judgemental, butthole. From what Olive had seen Ethan is fussy about everything. Than Ami told her she had to find Ethan and make sure he didn’t say anything horrible in his best man’s speech. As Olive starts her speech her husband-Dane- projectile vomits all over Ami and her wedding gown. Than after that after that another persons starts vomiting and soon everyone is either vomiting or looking green except Ethan and Olive. Ethan said it must be the many bacteria he had been worried about in the seafood buffet as neither he nor Olive ate that. Olive felt horrible for her twin this was supposed to be her special dream day. As Olive walks around doing all she can do for all the sick women in the brides room, Ami tells Olive she must go on her honeymoon and she could use Ami’s ID after all they are identical. The honeymoon was all all exclusive ten day trip to Maui. Olive calls and nothing can be changed on the honeymoon including the date. Even sickness os not getting in between Ami and a prize fairly won. According to a doctor visiting all the rooms of sick people Ami is unlikely to recover by the next week. Ami said consider this the moment your luck changes. Ami told Olive you didn’t get sick you need to celebrate that. Ethan goes to the bride’s room and Olive’s Maid Of Honor dress had ripped in the back and her butt was showing. Ethan got the door open for Olive and she immediately shut it but than he started knocking and told her he needed the information on the trip as his brother told him he could have the vacation Olive told him Ami had already given the trip to her. Than Ethan said he supposed they could go together. Olive said they couldn’t stand being near each other for an hour long meal. Ethan than said the suite should be big enough they wouldn’t really have to see each other. He added they could orbit around each other for ten days. Without committing a violent felony. Olive decided to take Ami’s vacation/honeymoon. Olive said and they agreed Olive would keep her spot amd Ethan would keep his. Ethan and olive agree to travel together to Maui. olive finds out she has a job she will start right after she gets back home from Hawaii. Olive is guiltily glad she is in Hawaii. She had never stayed in a suite much less an opulent suite like this one, she had never been to Hawaii. Ethan told Olive to take the bedroom as she os a woman. Olive goes to the spa and than runs into the founder of the company she is to start work at. He invites her and Ethan to dinner and she bribes Ethan with the bedroom to get him to go with her as Mr. Hamilton believes she is married. After dinner with the Hamiltons- the founder and his wife or boss's boss, they run into Ethan’s ex-Sophie and her fiance. Ethan introduces Olive as his wife. Ethan and Olive let their animosity go as they talk everything out and the mistakes they had made in assuming about the other, they start to see each other differently. They sleep together and really start to enjoy the vacation.
I loved this book. I loved Olive and Ethan together and how they purposely got each other name’s wrong. This was a good romance with just enough drama shot in. I loved how it showed identical twins and the totally different people they can be. I loved how big and so close Olive and Ami’s family was. Always there for each other. I loved how ethan and Olive took the honeymoon and really got to know each other. I loved how olive finally f got a job she loved. I loved the pace and plot. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend it.

Greetings, Bookworms!
As you know, I’ve been blogging sporadically (at best) lately, so I haven’t been accepting review requests or seeking review copies of new books from publishers. If there was any author(s) who could get me to dust off my old NetGalley account and beg for a book, it’s Christina Lauren. I’ve burned through nearly all of their standalone novel back list at this point, and patience is not a virtue I possess in abundance. If it wasn’t obvious, I received a complimentary digital review copy of The Unhoneymooners from the publisher for review consideration. I usually preface my reviews of books I receive for free with an assurance that I will provide a fair and honest review and have not been corrupted, but it seems a bit silly in this case. It was practically a foregone conclusion that I was going to LOVE this book. I wouldn’t have requested it otherwise.Support Independent Bookstores - Visit IndieBound.org
Olive Torres is chronically unlucky. Her love life, career, and relationship with arcade claw machines have all been tainted by her endlessly bad luck. Her twin sister, on the other hand, wins EVERYTHING. In fact, Ami has funded her entire wedding with the fruits of her winning streak. Dresses, hotel, honeymoon, reception buffet- free, free, free! Unfortunately for Ami, her perfect luck turns on her when food poisoning from tainted seafood fells the ENTIRE wedding party and guest list. Well, the entire wedding party EXCEPT for Olive, whose “unlucky” shellfish allergy required her to steer clear of the seafood buffet. Because Ami and her new husband are down for the count, she pleads with Olive to go on her Honeymoon in her place. The only thing worse than paying for something is getting something for free and then wasting it, I guess. But Olive’s luck wouldn’t just allow her a magical free Maui vacation- she’s got to take the only OTHER guest who didn’t get sick with her- her arch nemesis Ethan.
Ethan, brother of the ill-fated groom, and Olive have never seen eye to eye and have been hostile toward each other throughout the entirety of their siblings’ courtship. Now they have to pretend to be newlyweds in order to take advantage of the free vacation and not drive each other bananas in the process. Things get off to a rocky start when the pair keep running into people they know on Maui while they’re assuming the identities of their siblings. Who knew so many Minnesotans booked the same resort? However, Maui will be Maui. As the trip progresses, Ethan and Olive thaw from outright dislike to grudging tolerance to something approaching fondness…
It’s a rom-com, so I think it’s pretty obvious where this is heading. It’s a heck of a fun ride! I now desperately want to take a Hawaiian vacation (that I don’t have to pay for.) Ethan and Olive’s banter is witty and delightful, and peppered with Harry Potter references. The way to my heart is casually accusing your love interest of hiding his horcruxes in paradise, apparently. I enthusiastically recommend The Unhoneymooners to anyone who enjoys romance, comedy, and joy, as well as those who hate buffets and would like a fictional character to back them up on their anti-buffet stance.

4 Stars
Enemies to lovers romances are some of my favorite tropes. The tension and banter is what gets me super excited, and when done right, it’s an absolute winner.
Olive was a treat. She’s sassy, but can also be sweet when she wants. After many not so good incidents, she thinks she’s cursed with bad luck. But even so, that didn’t bring her down. She had a great attitude and let whatever is going to happen, well, it’s what it is and meant to be.
Ethan was a delight. He’s grounded, level headed and just the right person for Olive. He’s an all-around good guy and every bit adorable and sweet.
Olive will soon be seeing more of Ethan, her “enemy.” Due to unforeseen circumstances, Olive is forced to go on the honeymoon her sister was supposed to go on, but now can’t. Ethan will also be going and taking his brothers place. At first, it’s more of the same between Olive and Ethan, but slowly they start to open up to each other and realize they actually click. When they decide to give each other a chance, well, it had me screaming “FINALLY!” I mean, with attraction like theirs it was only a matter of time until they gave in.
Unhoneymooners is s fun romance that brought the laughs. Though I was letdown by those fade to black scenes and only wish they would’ve been more developed. Nevertheless, I can’t wait for future books by this incredible duo.

“That’s the point of luck: it happens when and where it happens.”
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren is a sweet and sexy fun read and just the escape I needed!
An all expenses paid trip to Hawaii with a guy that is a total snack? What more could you ask for? Except that Olive and Ethan don’t get along at all! I had a wicked smile the moment those two found themselves in that predicament! Olive and Ethan made me laugh so much and I just didn’t want it to end! They’re snarky banter was super fun to read about, I was rooting for them since the very beginning! This was my first Christina Lauren book and it definitely won’t be my last!

I would have given this book 4 1/2 stars but I'm grading up because these authors are consistently so good. The Unhoneymooners is a light read with hidden depths. I found it funny but it still had some serious bits as well.
I loved Olive (our heroine) from the start. She was an interesting character who was flawed but always fun and likable.
Ethan (our hero) seemed a little bit like a jerk at first but he grew on me pretty fast once he and Olive started to spend time together.
The secondary characters were well written as well.
I liked the pace of the book and enjoyed the characters' journey towards their HEA.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary Romance.

Hate to love written by Lo & C? I didn’t need to know anything else...to be honest I just need their names.
I looooooooved Olive and Ethan. They’re both so smart and maybe a bit guarded, but actually marshmallows. I loved their banter and blind hate for each other and most of all, I loved watching that hate unravel. Olive’s family is pretty amazing and I could easily read a million more books about them.
Plot wise, it was perfection. The time span of the vacation vs the real world was great. I was happy to see how things worked for them once they got back to real life. And of course there’s a bit of angst, but it doesn’t last long. I will say that if the grand gesture is damn near perfection, the epilogue actually is.
Overall, it was everything I was in the mood for and definitely one I’ll be rereading.
**Huge thanks to Gallery Books for providing the arc free of charge**

I was thrilled to get a Netgalley copy of this book. The authors are a fabulous team with writing styles that blend seamlessly. It's an enemies to friends to lovers romance with a few twists. His brother married her twin sister, who is a master at winning free stuff that the wedding was almost free. An unusual event happens and forces the newlyweds to stay home, which means the new in-laws get a free vacation. Their trip has twists and turns, witty banter and lots of goose bumps from nervousness. The story reminded me a bit of My Big Fat Wedding, Ami and Olive have an enormous family which has some perks. Another favorite for my growing list.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I loved every minute I spent reading it. I read it all in 1 day, something I rarely do. It filled my heart with all different types of love; romantic love, love for family, and love for one’s self.
This starts out as an enemies-to-lovers book but it is so much more. I loved Ethan and Olive’s banter from chapter 2. It’s the first glimpse we get into their relationship and it left me wanting more.
The sister dynamics between Olive and Ami were so interesting too since they were twins and a large extended family to boot. I enjoyed this immensely!
But it was Olive’s self-discovery and growth that made me the happiest and made me love her so much. I loved Ethan, but he disappointed me at times. That’s what I love about Christina Lauren; they can make you fall in love with someone, want to kill said someone, and are screaming by the end because you just want everybody to get a happy ending!!! (Except for that one person, they deserve everything they got.)
These ladies just keep bringing magic to their storytelling and I hope they never stop!

I have become such a fan of Christina Lauren’s work that I eagerly add each new book to my to-be-read list without even reading the synopsis. Fortunately, with The Unhoneymooners they have proven once again that I am in safe hands.
Some enemies to lovers stories lean so heavily on the “hate” aspect that they leave a bitter taste in my mouth, but this is a total joy. It boasts wickedly funny comedy and winsome characters set against a gorgeous Hawaiian backdrop.
The entire story is written from unlucky Olive’s perspective, and I had forgotten just how much I enjoy a single point narrative. It was fun trying to guess Ethan’s thoughts, and I loved being stuck inside Olive’s self-deprecating, quirky, and rather pessimist mind. She’s a strong heroine, and her willingness to show vulnerability made me love her all the more.
The snarky banter between Ethan and Olive is absolutely hilarious, but it’s their honesty that makes this couple so endearing. It’s refreshing how forthcoming they are, and it lends maturity to their relationship. Their transition from foe to friend is both enjoyable and believable. The book paints a vivid picture of Maui, and it’s almost as if the little slice of paradise is another character in their love story.
I’ve read some pretty darned spicy Christina Lauren books, but The Unhoneymooners is very PG. There is no cursing or dirty talk, and the sex scenes are of the fade to black variety. This should appeal to readers who prefer to leave some things to the imagination.
The story is witty and creative, and although it may be a bit on the long side, every chapter is highly entertaining.

4 stars. This was a good book! In the past I really enjoyed CLo books, but over the last few years their books just haven't been the same to me. The Unhoneymooners broke that streak for me and brought me back to the joy I felt when I first started reading their books. This book is a true romance with some funny moments, sweet and emotional ones (as opposed to their last few books which felt like women's fiction to me). I was skeptical that I would love this book, but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it and how hard it was to put down.
The Unhoneymooners is Olive and Ethan's story. Olive has always been unlucky. Her luck has recently gotten worse when she lost her job and her roomate around the same time. But her luck may be turning around when she finally gets a job and then she gets a chance to take the trip of a lifetime. The only problem is that she has to go with a guy who she thinks hates her.
Olive's twin sister is marrying Ethan's brother. Olive liked Ethan on first meeting him several years ago, but they got off to a poor start and have avoided each other since. On the day of their siblings wedding, due to their personal food issues, they are the only wedding guests to not eat off of the seafood buffet at the wedding. The entire wedding party and all the guests get terrible food poisoning. It is impossible for the newlyweds to go on their honeymoon. So Olive's sister insists she take the trip to Hawaii, which can't be rescheduled because it was won in a contest, and bring Ethan with her.
Olive is skeptical that she could enjoy any trip she takes with Ethan. He treats her with disdain and they fight constantly. But she is willing to try and just avoid Ethan as much as she can while they share a honeymoon suite. But as Ethan and Olive are forced to spend time together in paradise, they find their impressions about each other, and what they think the other person is thinking about them, is wrong. They truly get to the bottom of their differences, get to know each other and fall for each other over their two week vacation. There is some complications because they have to pose as a married couple to keep their free vacation going and they run into people they actually know, which makes it hard to keep the ruse going. Once they get home, they also have to face their siblings and families, who may not be happy about their new relationship. Can they make it through the vacation and carry their new found love into the real world?
I really enjoyed this story. It was original and interesting. I loved both Olive and Ethan. They were opposites and they did bicker a lot, but they were very honest with each other as well, which made their relationship refreshing. They were really fun and deep characters, who were all about each other. The two of them got off on the wrong foot when they met and had bad impressions of each other, but it all worked out in the end. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. It felt like a slow burn, even though they fell in love over a two week trip. Both Olive and Ethan grew as people together as the book went on. I enjoyed all of the side characters of Olive's large Mexican American family too. The only thing I didn't totally love was the low heat level and somewhat fade to black sex scenes. Still, it didn't bother me too much.
Overall, The Unhoneymooners was an entertaining, easy and cute read. There were some sweet, emotional, and funny moments. This was a book about finding yourself, growing as a person and falling in love along the way. I enjoyed this book a lot and look forward to more in this vein from Christina Lauren in the future!

If you're a fan of the enemies to lovers trope The Unhoneymooners will appeal. My affinity for the trope could potentially be labeled a disorder at this point. That coupled with my fairly newfound love of all things C-Lo and the good feels they typically provide led me to bang on the request button. Like a toddler.
They didn't disappoint, in case you were wondering.
The Unhoneymooners starts and finishes strong. The middling parts I found a bit lackluster, though I think opinions will vary on that point but we'll come back to that. It's all told, save the epilogue, from Olive's POV and I think this is where C-Lo really shine-character development. Olive is a flawed character and though she does evolve and grow over the course of the narrative she does so in realistic ways. C-Lo do a superb job of keeping her true to herself; she perfect in her imperfection.
Ethan and Olive initially are snarky and snipe at each other every chance they get. It's rom-com greatness. They are the only two who avoid the food poisoning catastrophe that struck down her twin sister (Ami) and his brother's (Dane) wedding unscathed. Since everyone's down for the count for at least a couple weeks...
Off to Maui posing as the happily married couple they go and antics ensue. I found most of the Maui parts entertaining. I wish they had done more sightseeing but that's the traveler in me and likely won't even register with most people.
My biggest stumbling block was the lack of falling in love with each other. There was a misunderstanding long before the beginning of the book and once that cat was out of the bag it was as though that was treated as the "relationship development" which felt a bit lazy to me. The family drama is the other part of this story that I struggled with. I think opinions will vary on this point but for me I felt like the big secret and its fallout overtook the central romance at times.
However, The Unhoneymooners finished strong, so much so that by the time I got to the end I felt bereft and wanted more, though the epilogue did cushion that blow a bit.
Recommend to contemporary romance fans who love a good enemies to lover rom-com.
p.s. I LOVE the cover!
An ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Christina Lauren is great for the quick, utterable readable and enjoyable romances. The Unhoneymooners is no exception. It wasn’t anything that knocked my socks off, but it hit that ‘fun contemporary romance’ spot just right. There were a few small quibbles that had me rolling my eyes, but they weren't anything I need to make a stink about. I did love Olive’s large, exuberant, always-in-your-business but ALWAYS there for you Latinx family. Their love language is cooking you large quantities of food when you’re having a bad day, and damn if that doesn’t speak to me.
Olive is unlucky, just as a state of being. Her twin sister Amy seems to be made of luck...except on her wedding day. The entire wedding party and all the guests get food poisoning at the reception except for Olive...and her long time nemesis Ethan, Amy’s new brother in law. Ethan and Olive have had a contentious relationship since the first day they met. When Amy begs Olive to take her place at her non-refundable Hawaiian honeymoon, Olive leaps at the chance. She’s just lost her job, her roommate, and stress baking has left her a bit heavier than usual. But of course Olive learns that Ethan has also been offered a spot on the honeymoon, because that’s just her luck. But they can avoid each other for 10 days in paradise, right? Wrong, obviously. Sparks and insults fly as these two can’t resist their attraction. 3.5 stars!

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren offers up a funny and heartfelt story line, with some quirky characters that is very entertaining throughout. I love the witty banter! This book will leave you with a smile. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. Strongly recommend if you enjoy sweet romances.
I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you.

Olive has never been lucky in life however lately it seems like the deck is stacked against her. After loosing her job, her apartment, and her boyfriend in quick succession, Olive is ready for a change of pace. Olive's twin sister Ami on the other hand seems to have received more than her fair share of good fortune. In a stroke of genius luck, she has managed to fund her entire wedding and honeymoon through a series of contests and giveaways. Of course this means that Olive ends up wearing a hideous skittle green dress and she is stuck helping the best man, her soon to be brother in law Ethan, who she is anything but fond of. It looks like things are looking up for Olive when because of a shellfish allergy, she is one of the few spared the food born illness spreading quickly among the wedding guests. Even Ami and her husband are down for the count, which means they will be unable to attend their free, nonrefundable honeymoon. Ami insists that her sister go in her stead, after all they are twins. Ethan is given the same opportunity which means that for 10 days in paradise, Olive must pretend to be a happy newlywed with her nemesis Ethan. What could go wrong?
Hilarity ensues as the two are forced to really act the part as they both run into people from their past. Along the way Olive of course starts to realize that maybe she doesn't hate Ethan's company quite as much as they first thought, she might even enjoy it. What happens when they leave sunny paradise however and return to reality?
I highly enjoyed this story for a multitude of reasons however I must first commend the author on her inclusion of a strong, plucky, full-figured Latina lead character. She was a perfect complement to Ethan's hilariously sweet antics throughout. Olive's large extended family added an extra element on enjoyment as I got to see them react with both Olive and each other in a loving, bickering manner. The banter between the lead characters was endearing and often laugh out loud comical. I highly recommend this story for those looking for a comical lighthearted read, with plenty of swoon worthy moments.

4.5 stars!
I was hooked from the start with this one. I loved it!
Olive’s twin sister Ami is marrying Ethan’s brother Dane. These two have never really liked each other. At the wedding, everyone gets food poisoning except - you guessed it - Olive and Ethan. Ami and Dane insist that - even though they can’t stand the sight of one another - that Olive and Ethan take their honeymoon to Hawaii. Well, as you can imagine, hilarity ensues!
Olive and Ethan are such fun characters. There were so many laugh out loud moments during this book, which I love. Enemies to lovers stories are always entertaining to me. Add some witty banter, snarkiness and sexual tension and you’ve got one helluva rom-com!
I hope someone in the movie business gets a hold of this one. It would be fantastic!
This is only my second book by this dynamic duo and I look forward to tons more!
Thank you to NetGalley, Gallery Threshold Pocket Books and Christina Lauren for my advanced copy to read and review.

For anyone that has read a Christina Lauren book, this fits perfectly with what they write. It's the book version of a romantic comedy - predictable, funny with a happy ending that makes sense. They create believable characters that you can't help but root for, laugh with (or at) and cry with.
The Unhoneymooners tells the story of Olive and Ethan, who end up taking a pre-paid, non-refundable honeymoon trip that was supposed to be for their siblings (Olive's sister and Dane's brother got married, and at the wedding, along with all of the other guests, came down with food poisoning). The problem? Olive and Ethan can't stand each other.
Once they arrive in Maui for their fake honeymoon, however, they realize that they have to not only share a one-bedroom villa, but act like they're married. Not exactly easy for two people that don't even want to be in the same room as the other. Calamities ensue, and the result is a funny, slightly unrealistic but nonetheless enjoyable story. It's a light, quick read. The romantic scenes are PG-13 and overall, it's a nice beach read.

Oh my goodness! This one was so good I read it practically in one sitting and would have if life wouldn't have intruded (drat that job!) but I highly recommend picking this one up immediately! Olive is the unlucky twin (and always has considered herself to be so) and now she is standing up for her twin sister (the lucky twin) at her wedding. That is okay except the best man is her nemesis and the brother of the groom. Spending 24 hours with him is bad enough but when they are the only ones who are not struck with food poisoning at the reception and the honeymoon to Hawaii is up for grabs and the bride and groom insist they take advantage of it, all bets are off. How are they going to spend two weeks together? Easy, all they have to do is there there and sleep in the same room, that is until forces beyond their control in the form of Olives new boss and Ethan's former fiancee are at the same resort. Oh no! They are now forced to actually act like honeymooners! Cozy and loving and everything! This was smart, witty, FUN, sexy, and oh-so hilarious, I found myself giggling and the dogs looking at me with their heads tilted. Such perfect banter, the pages few by until I thought my kindle was going to combust. This is a standalone and would be a perfect beach read but would probably induce sunburn because you would not want to put it down.
**Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley**

Christina Lauren did it again! Their new book is hilarious, swoony, and so bingeable! I was a little wary going in because I've read so many reviews where readers say this isn't their fave CLo, and it's not as good as some of their other books, but I LOVED this one, and once I started I couldn't put the book down until I finished!"The wind blows his dark hair all over his head, but I imagine him squinting judgmentally out at the surf, silently telling the waves they could do better."The Unhoneymooners has two of my favorite tropes, hate to love and fake dating. While I was reading I kept thinking "how does this keep happening to these two?!" It was awesome. CLo's newest release follows Olive and her nemesis Ethan as they have to act civil and in love with each other when they take their sibling's honeymoon because the newlyweds got food poisoning. Before starting the book I was curious how the authors were going to pull off this storyline and make it believable, but they did it!Like every other book written by this duo, The Unhoneymooners was hilarious and the banter was amazing. Even though Olive and Ethan can't stand each other, the jokes they make about each other are funny, and there are so many Harry Potter references. I really liked these two characters, and wish we got chapter from Ethan's point of view. Both Olive and Ethan were so guarded with each other because of comments and looks made in the past, and during the trip have to work through their animosity to make their fake relationship believable. And, like any good romance, because of all the time they have to spend together pretending to date they start realizing their feelings for the other."Those of us who aren't summoned by the Dark Mark consider honesty to be a virtue."This book also has some diversity in it, that felt naturally woven in. Olive is a curvy Latina main character who is completely confident in who she is. Her background and size didn't feel thrown in to meet a diversity quota, but were a natural part of the story. The Unhoneymooners is also the perfect summer book because it takes place in Hawaii! The setting was so fun to read about, and I really enjoyed reading about all the adventures Olive and Ethan had while on their trip."Despite things being insane and hard and messy, I don't think I've ever liked myself more than I do now."Overall I really enjoyed Christina Lauren's newest release and highly recommend it to fans of their other books. I cannot wait to buy a copy of this and reread it this summer because it's the perfect summer book!

Absolutely LOVED this book. Hilarious and fun - the perfect romance and is on our list of Classy Mommy recommended summer beach reads!
