I love this book series. The emails are hilarious and it makes me wish I was that witty when I was class mom. They make me laugh and it’s a great perspective on class moms and like. I highly recommend this read. Please write more!

Great book! This is the sequel to Class Mom.

Jen is still hilarious. Max is now in 3rd grade. Jen has her hands full as class mom again and now she has been volunteered to organize the 5th grade safety patrol program. She has a busy life with her adult daughters, her parents, and a husband who wants to expand his business. The class emails will have you laughing out loud.

I look forward to more from Laurie Gelman.

I loved Laurie Gelman’s Class Mom, so when I saw she came out with a sequel I could not wait to read it! I blew through it in a day, and am already hoping there will be a third. Jen Dixon is such a likeable entertaining character, that when I’m reading I wish she was my friend! This book made me happy and made me laugh, and I hope there is more Jen Dixon to come!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from #netgallery. It was just as fun as “Class Mom” and I loved catching up with Jen and the other moms in the class. As a mom with a child in elementary school I totally relate to Jen and wish she were my child’s class mom, we would have so much fun “volunteering” together.

The sequel to Class Mom did not disappoint! As a school volunteer, I could totally relate to this book. I would love to be able to send volunteer emails with her humor to my parents!! Several times I laughed out loud while reading this book. If you need a quick, fun read--this book is for you!!

Hilarious! I loved Class Mom, so getting to follow Jen and her snarky emails through another book was so great. Lots of characters to love, and several "whaaaat??" moments as well. Loved it!

I loved Laurie Gelman's first book-Class Mom, and You've Been Volunteered is a very welcome 2nd book. The further adventures of a school volunteer Mom, Jen Dixon. It took me back to the days I was a school volunteer. I would have loved interacting with her. Sassy and witty humor. Situations that I could relate to...but funnier. Those were the days. Thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for the opportunity to read something that made me laugh out loud!

I read Class Mom a year or so ago and enjoyed it so I was happy to check this one out. I would rate this at 2.5 stars. You’ve Been Volunteered is the second book in the series and while you don’t HAVE to read Class Mom to understand this book, I would recommend it. Even having read the first book I was lost quite a few times as I couldn’t remember their initial storylines.

In all honesty, this book was nowhere near as good as the first. There really wasn’t a point to the story... I kept thinking of people who will post the list of errands they ran that day on their FB status... this book was a running list of boring errands (and I’m sorry, but do we really need an explanation of what a Target is?!). I don’t want to read about errands on FB and I definitely don’t want to read about them in a novel.

This is the sequel to Gelman’s Class Mom and it didn’t disappoint. Jen is back for another round at being classmom and gets “volun-told” to be the Safety Patrol mom as well. This book captivated me from page one. I couldn’t put it down.

Jen and Ron’s marriage, raising Max, Vivs and Laura and handling all the responsibilities of being class mom keep Jen busy! A new friendship also leads to new fitness adventures.

All around this was a great read. Fun, twists and surprises, and a great cast of characters. This book is a treat for book lovers, and relateable on so many levels. You don’t need to be a mom, or involved in school to enjoy this book!

What an entertaining sequel to "Class Mom" by Laurie Gelman! As a teacher and parent of a school-age child, I found myself reading emails from our school and then reading the emails within the book, sometimes checking between the two to see which was real! Gelman nails the spirit of the high-achieving class parents with humor and insight. I especially enjoyed how the veteran classroom teacher replied to parent emails (if only I could do that!).

Laurie Gelman does it again. Jen Dixon not only takes on the role of class mom again, but now she is also in charge of safety patrol Dixon handles her roles as only she can; with humor and sarcasm. . Gelman finds humor in situations that all parents have experienced at one time or another. If you are looking for a fun and light-hearted read, this book is for you.

I loved this book even more than the first one! I was laughing out loud at lots of parts and tearing up towards the end. I can't wait to read more of Laurie's books! One of my favorite parts was the naming of Ron's BMW! If you liked the first book, youre going to love this one.

This is a wonderful follow up to the first book, Class Mom. I hope there will be many more. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I loved this installment even better than the first one! Jen Dixon is the perfect chick lit character. I would recommend this book one hundred times.

Love love love. Once again I laughed out loud! As a teacher, I can only imagine where the inspiration for these characters came from. The main character feels like it could be a real person.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher, for this free eARC.

While half way through Class Mom last week, I was on Goodreads when I realized there was a 2nd one being published this year! I quickly requested it off NetGalley, and got approved 20 mins later. Thanks Henry Holt and Co. 😍

Jen Dixon is back, and still as hilarious! This time she is class mom to the 3rd graders, and somehow ends up as having to do crosswalk duty.

What I love about Jen is out outspoken she is, and how she just doesn't give a shit.

You've Been Volunteered was the perfect follow-up. So many unexpected things happened in the second book, and I could not put it down! Laurie Gelman is such a fantastic writer and will now be one of my go-to authors for a great book! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!!

Publication date is July 23rd!

I really enjoyed @lauriegelman’s follow-up to Class Mom, You’ve Been Volunteered. I found so much humor in these pages. I just wrapped up coaching my son’s elementary school spelling bee, so I could totally relate to Jen’s experiences. I definitely recommend these books to anyone who spends time volunteering at school! Pub date: July 23, 2019.💕 *

OMG I loved this book. I devoured Class Mom in a matter of hours, and this book fell into the same easy pattern. I love that Laurie Gelman was able to pick up Jen's character like she hadn't missed a beat. I felt like I was still flipping through Class Mom. Sequels are hard to read sometimes, because the main character that you love isn't always the same. Carrying a character's voice into a second, or third, book is a challenge, but Laurie did a remarkable job.

This book has just as many LOL moments. As a fifth grade teacher that deals with "class moms" I found so many of Jen's comments toward the other parents hysterical and very "on point" with how things are in the real world.

I also enjoyed Jen's mom's story line in this book. I think the cancer angle really helped show Jen's growth as a character, and it made the book that much more enjoyable.

This is not one to be missed by any class moms, teachers, or humans in general. Thank you to Henry Holt & Company for the advance copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

What a delightful book from Laurie Gelman! For anyone who has ever navigated the waters of being a school volunteer, much of this will ring so true. I loved that while there was snark and sarcasm, the book had an overall tone of acceptance and friendship, rather than disdain.

I loved this book! I enjoyed class Mom by the same author but I think this one topped it. I had a few laugh out loud moments which is always fun. The plot moved along quickly and introduced new characters while building on some relationships from the prior book. As a mom of an elementary age kid (and a class mom to boot!) it was spot on in terms of various dynamics you encounter at this stage of life. Definitely recommend!
