I loved this book even more than the first one! I was laughing out loud at lots of parts and tearing up towards the end. I can't wait to read more of Laurie's books! One of my favorite parts was the naming of Ron's BMW! If you liked the first book, youre going to love this one.

This is a wonderful follow up to the first book, Class Mom. I hope there will be many more. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I loved this installment even better than the first one! Jen Dixon is the perfect chick lit character. I would recommend this book one hundred times.

Love love love. Once again I laughed out loud! As a teacher, I can only imagine where the inspiration for these characters came from. The main character feels like it could be a real person.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher, for this free eARC.

While half way through Class Mom last week, I was on Goodreads when I realized there was a 2nd one being published this year! I quickly requested it off NetGalley, and got approved 20 mins later. Thanks Henry Holt and Co. 😍

Jen Dixon is back, and still as hilarious! This time she is class mom to the 3rd graders, and somehow ends up as having to do crosswalk duty.

What I love about Jen is out outspoken she is, and how she just doesn't give a shit.

You've Been Volunteered was the perfect follow-up. So many unexpected things happened in the second book, and I could not put it down! Laurie Gelman is such a fantastic writer and will now be one of my go-to authors for a great book! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!!

Publication date is July 23rd!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed @lauriegelman’s follow-up to Class Mom, You’ve Been Volunteered. I found so much humor in these pages. I just wrapped up coaching my son’s elementary school spelling bee, so I could totally relate to Jen’s experiences. I definitely recommend these books to anyone who spends time volunteering at school! Pub date: July 23, 2019.💕 *

OMG I loved this book. I devoured Class Mom in a matter of hours, and this book fell into the same easy pattern. I love that Laurie Gelman was able to pick up Jen's character like she hadn't missed a beat. I felt like I was still flipping through Class Mom. Sequels are hard to read sometimes, because the main character that you love isn't always the same. Carrying a character's voice into a second, or third, book is a challenge, but Laurie did a remarkable job.

This book has just as many LOL moments. As a fifth grade teacher that deals with "class moms" I found so many of Jen's comments toward the other parents hysterical and very "on point" with how things are in the real world.

I also enjoyed Jen's mom's story line in this book. I think the cancer angle really helped show Jen's growth as a character, and it made the book that much more enjoyable.

This is not one to be missed by any class moms, teachers, or humans in general. Thank you to Henry Holt & Company for the advance copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

What a delightful book from Laurie Gelman! For anyone who has ever navigated the waters of being a school volunteer, much of this will ring so true. I loved that while there was snark and sarcasm, the book had an overall tone of acceptance and friendship, rather than disdain.

I loved this book! I enjoyed class Mom by the same author but I think this one topped it. I had a few laugh out loud moments which is always fun. The plot moved along quickly and introduced new characters while building on some relationships from the prior book. As a mom of an elementary age kid (and a class mom to boot!) it was spot on in terms of various dynamics you encounter at this stage of life. Definitely recommend!

This book, as Gelman's first book of this series, Class Mom never failed to make me laugh. I loved once again how it was set in Kansas City (close to where I'm from) and the shout out to my favorite vegan bakery. I love this series because it makes me forget about the real world for awhile.

Brilliant follow up to class mom. I enjoyed every minute of it. As a Kansas City native, Jen Dixion gives props to my city.

This was overall a very enjoyable read. I absolutely love this author’s first book, Class Mom, and enjoyed catching up with the characters. This book had me laughing out loud at several points and flipping back pages to read portions to my boyfriend. Overall I enjoyed Class Mom a little better because the plot of this edition made me wanting a bit more, however I will definitely be recommending this title to many of my friends and family once it comes out this summer!

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced digital copy.

Well, I am a little sad - I thoroughly enjoyed this author’s 1stbook but this one leaves a bit to be desired. It was engaging enough that I did finish it, so no - it’s not a BAD book.... just a bit tedious? I felt her humor was grossly underayed & should have definitely held more prominence: she’s funny! There were quite a few instances of the writing that just seemed forced, kind of like space filler.
Overall, it’s a fine book. Doubt it’s gonna change a life but an ok read.

I love this book so Much! I read the first one in this series when it came out in 2017 and I remember laughing so hard! And this book was exactly the same. The things Jen endures by being a class mom are just so fun and funny! I’m in the same season of life, which just makes it even more enjoyable to read!

I adored "Class Mom," and I so wanted to love this follow-up. Sadly, it fell a little short for me. There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, but overall it lacked the humor and relatability of the first book. I agree with another reviewer who said that if you haven't read "Class Mom" you will be totally lost; I had to go back and remind myself of a few of the characters and their relationships with Jen. I also felt like a few plot lines were rushes or didn't really have a satisfying resolution. It was a quick, fun read, but it didn't meet my expectations.

Loved this sequel as much as the first! Plenty of laugh out loud moments and it was great to return to a group of characters to see what they were up to. I hope Laurie Gelman considers a third book!
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy.

Laurie Gelmans first book CLASS MOM knocked it out of the park! Her second book YOUVE BEEN VOLUNTEERED sadly did not even come close. This deals with her experiences on Safety Patrol, a position she certainly did not want. And she is still class mom. If you did not read her first book, you will be lost. I was lost part of the time and I read her first book. It does not succeed as a stand alone novel. There is none of the irreverence, sarcasm and complete sass that dominated CLASS MOM and made it such a joy to read. Her trademark emails are in the book but they lack pizzaz. Not that much drama, back biting and all the really good juicy stuff! Tnank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book. Hopefully if she does a 3rd book she’ll be back in the groove, but this one is not in the same “Class”as the first. Disappointing at worst, mildly entertaining at best it was a definite let down.

Thank you to NetGalley, Henry Holt and Co, and especially Laurie Gelman for the advanced e-copy of this book. I devoured it in three days. I could not put it down. As a teacher and as a mother I could relate to everything in here. Her class emails are laugh out loud funny and the situations she gets herself into kept me turning the pages as fast as I could. I love Gelman's writing style and her characters are so totally people we know in our own lives. I've always been a huge Sophie Kinsella fan but Gelman is rising to the top. Please, please, please get volun-told for another year as class mom. I can't wait to see what happens to everyone.

I loved the first book, Class Mom because it was funny and smart. This book I thought was the opposite of that. All of the characters had heavy issues of some sort: snapping at or separating from family members, money stress, infidelity and divorce and lots of judgement. Everyone was in a funk. Every character from the first book has become jaded. It was not the light enjoyable story I was expecting. In the last book I enjoyed the main character's snark. In this book there were several comments meant to be funny, that I thought actually crossed a major line. I may include these as Kindle "highlights" I recommend Class Mom, the first book.

I am so happy I was selected to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I am not the laugh out loud kind of person while reading or watching TV. This book changed all of that. This was cleverly written and such a great light read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although I have not read Class Mom, I will now be adding it to my TBR list. This book is a must read for any mother of a school aged child. LOVED IT!
